This was a fast paced match, with a lot of moves and a good crowd. It doesn't get talked about as often as some of the other rivals these men have had over the years, but Kurt Angle and Jeff Hardy have some great chemistry, as was shown in their matches in 2010 and their matches earlier in 2012. Jeff showed some great explosive energy, while Kurt tried to ground Jeff. Jeff got a sunset flip pinfall off of an Angle Slam, which did protect Kurt a little bit as he would start feuding with Aces and Eights. This was fun. ****"
[8.0] "Your usual very good fast-paced match between Angle and Hardy which was becoming the norm at the time, I won't repeat what I say every time but once again their chemistry was excellent and so was the action. Perfectly suited for a title match on TV and even more so on a special show like this one, TNA knew which wrestler to send to give Hardy a very good title defense and it didn't fail. Full of big moves and nearfalls, I loved it as usual."

The two of them display a very good chemistry together and kept a strong pace with high energy. Angle was giving back a lot in 2012 (arguably too much at points) and this was a good example of that in helping to establish Jeffs reign out the gate."
