[8.0] "A great match! What gave this bout an added layer of dimension, which in turn enhanced the linear portrayal of who was inching closer to winning the match as it built to its conclusion, was their babyface-heel dynamic. Kyle had his taunts and heelish works that allowed for moments where Hangman's delivered comeuppance to feel satisfying, and at times, he'd give him a little extra for his troubles. The action in this match is awesome, but it's the story and how the action plays out that gives it its depth, especially how they paced it, which allowed for the audience to fully absorb the action as they let the physicality breathe. Kyle had his pockets of physicality, but the overriding thread was that he was losing the battle, which was communicated through his selling as he lost vitality and showed less vigor when he tried to fight back. Kyle losing the match throughout was also demonstrated through the action, as he lost most of their physical exchanges and found himself at the receiving end of the match's bigger spots, ultimately sustaining the most damage. The thread of Kyle increasingly losing has a satisfying conclusion as it culminates in a tremendous false finish when he resorts to desperate measures via a low blow. ****"
[10.0] "incredible match that hangman manage to control kyle explosiveness and hard hitting moves... the brainbuster in the apron was fantastic and beautifly executed... kyle look's like a million dollar and his future is bright"
[9.0] "Fantastisches Match.Zu Beginn noch recht langsam, aber dafür intensiv, so haben beide das Tempo immer weiter angezogen und die Finishphase war bockstark. ****1/4"
[8.0] "Unsurprising, a great match! Page is a consolidate Main Eventer, and you can see that Fletcher is being groomed to be in that spot in a couple of years or so. (****1/4)."
[9.0] "A great match. Not as good as Ospreay/Takeshita, a bit slow and silly at the beginning, but still very good. Fletcher is a good seller, and both guys looked really good in this match. The false finish towards the end with the low-blow was really well done, and it got the crowd even crazier at the end."
[10.0] "Incredible match, really crisp and with lots of great sequences and also some juice which helped increasing the sense of watching a true struggle. Even though the ending wasn't built to perfection the action overall was so good that it went near to Ospreay vs Takeshita II level of greatness. ****3/4"
[8.0] "Save a horse, ride a cowboy. Very good tension because I wanted to see Hangman/Ospreay and I wanted to see Fletcher/Ospreay. Kyle Fletcher gets it - the pink gear, the being homosexual, also being crazy violent. I love to see it. Hangman winning was ofc the right decision because it lead to absolute MOTY contender Hangman/Ospreay, but Kyle Fletcher is just so damn good, he deserves flowers too."
[9.0] "Both men deserved to be in a high-profile match like this, and the result could've been in favor of both, considering the levels of progress met by these men in the ring & as characters. After the initial slow burn, they blistered each other with lightning strikes and fiery grapple attacks that spilled all around the ring. Even though the usual logic faded a bit (as per AEW's norm), that element was outweighed by the amazing chemistry of these stars. On one hand, Fletcher's breakout year would've benefitted so much with a win here, but Hangman felt like the better and most sensible qualifier to face Ospreay and bring more unpredictability rather than another unwanted chapter in the Ospreay/Fletcher saga. 4.5 out of 5 stars!"
[8.0] "Another big match, another fabulous Kyle Fletcher performance. He's virtually perfect here, again, wrestling with such polish and presence. Conceptually, I always think that Page is a bit of a mirror in matches of this scale, and he unsurprisingly makes for an effortless babyface within Fletcher's classical framework. The results are noticeably restrained, building to one major false finish but mostly adding colour to the core dynamic, with Fletcher hardly ever going blow for blow with Hangman. Instead, he's outgunned in a shootout and much like MJF at Revolution, feels like a villain simply delaying the inevitable. ****"
[9.0] "Just think it's cool that AEW delivered a match like this on weekly television. Not to beat a dead horse but this is really why they are important as a company. Two stars given the room to wrestle each other for upwards of twenty minutes with constant momentum and brilliant wrestling. Worth the whole two hours on the show."
[8.0] "[8.0] great match the average fletcher match this man is so good and hangman have a great chem with all the wrestlers i dont know how they make me think that fletcher would win cuz i was sure that adam will win but yeah they did a great job the only downgrade that there is no strong fued but overall for a weekly show match this is so damn good"
[8.0] "Main event of the truly remarkable evening, Adam Page and Fletcher offer the audience a truly beautiful match. A start that I personally found a bit lukewarm but then the intensity of the match started to rise since Fletcher took the wound on his back. The technique and skill of the two are indisputable, Fletcher performs a beautiful Brainbuster on the apron and then shortly afterwards in response The Hangman performs an equally spectacular Tombstone Piledriver outside the ring. The ending is really tense and really made me believe that Fletcher would get the win but the count stops at two and Adam Page then ends the match with a double Buckshot Lariat. Excellent match."
[9.0] "Another amazing Tournament Match produce by AEW. This was excellent. While Hangman is truly the one who is the main character, "Protostar" Kyle Fletcher is proving once again he has skills of a potential big Superstar. ****1/2"
[9.0] "[4, 5 Stars] This tournament has offered nothing but good matches, Fletcher is a fucking star and now I can't wait to see the finals, which are going to be incredible. (****, 5)."
[7.0] "As always I don't understand why a move to the top of your opponents head on the floor does not end the match. I hate that. It was a great match, a very physical on but if that tombstone would have happened at the end, 10/10. It did not but staying true to myself and the quality of this match, 7/10."
[6.0] "This went on a lot longer than it needed to and they always seemed to be in the same phase of the match with Hangman dominating and Fletcher just about keeping his head above water. There were so many big moves and pivotal moments that none of them stood out as being especially significant ***1/4"
[10.0] "A couple of great performances in this match, particularly out of Fletcher who has been incredible pretty much since he shaved his head. Very much focused on getting the win since this is a tournament match, but the personal animosity is there. I really enjoyed how this match ended up with color just from the brutality of certain spots (Kyle's back and Hangman's arm) and Fletcher's selling of it throughout with his body language despite maintaining the match's pace with his antics (loved how he just rolled right out of the ring after a long bit of Hangman trying to get him in only for him to get bulldozed). That low-blow/brainbuster combo nearfall was phenomenal, I knew the result going in and I still kinda bit on that one. Also loved the elevated Buckshot from the top to set up the classic for the finish. ****1/2"
[9.0] "9.25/10. Good Back & Forth Match and though I kinda knew Hangman was gonna win, they had me second guessing and that ending with the buckshot off the top was kind Cold."
[9.0] "A good match between the two men, Fletcher clearly sacrifices his body when you see the state of his back. For this match, Fletcher kept running away. I really liked his superkicks. The low blow was original, where just before he pushed the referee so he wouldn't see it. It takes two Larriat to beat Fletcher, so he's not weakened by this defeat. After the match, I would have found a confrontation with Ospreay good and logical, however."
[8.0] "Look at these guys' bodies post-match, and you'll see hard hitting this was. Just wicked nonstop action leading to a great hometown victory for everyone's favourite fucked up cowboy. It had a great resilient finish for Hangman, and some nice action overall. I think it may be worth a rewatch for me though to see if maybe I could engage a bit more with it."
[6.0] "Sorry, didn't click, didn't get anything out of this besides the fact that it's really cool when Kyle Fletcher gets his back torn up by the guard rail. Real oldschool ROH shit. I must write more now because my rating is below average, so here are more words for your pleasure!"
"Fantastic match. Kyle Fletcher is going to be a mega star and I hope that he and Ospreay will meet in many matches for the AEW title one day. These two are some of the best all around wrestlers in the world and put on a PPV quality match. Sick finish with the buckshot lariat from the top turnbuckle into another regular one."
[9.0] "Fantastic match. High paced, hard hitting offence, clear heel and Babyface and a well worked finish. More importantly, the right winner at the end. Kyle is one of the best talents in any company right now. Hangman has really hit his stride and is at his peak. Banger. 8.5/10"
[10.0] "The best match on quite a good Dynamite, this was great fun to watch. I have been a big fan of Hangman since before AEW and I think he's only gotten better in recent years, but once again I have to acknowledge how Fletcher has blossomed from a guy I had zero interest in to a tremendous heel, something clicked and the guy just gets it, he has a nearly perfect balance between good modern ring work and old school heel bump/stooge/show ass mindset. How tremendous was that sequence where Fletcher scrambled out of the ring to avoid the Buckshot, smugly congratulated himself, then got bulldozed into next week by Hangman? Just perfect work on both sides. At close to 25 minutes it could have felt overlong but in the end I think it felt just right. The outcome was fairly expected but they did a great job creating doubt as well, that nearfall off the spectacular low blow was a nail biter for everyone in the arena. These guys represent a bright future for AEW, I think. In my top 30 for the year so far."
[9.0] "This was a very good way to end the show also it definitely upheld the standards of being in a tournament bout. Both really were not holding back, and Fletcher took some brutal looking moves. Fletcher's back, he probably felt that the morning after the match."
[7.0] "I'm not 100% sure why but this match didn't all the way click with me even though all the pieces are there. I think it might have been a pacing issue although a lot of the slower parts of the match made it feel more like a fight. There was also some great athleticism here. Kyle Fletcher is just on a hot streak, even though I knew we weren't getting another Fletcher v Ospreay part of me still wanted to see him take the win. Fletcher also threw himself into the barricades so hard it was like he was wrestling in NJPW. Hangman also came off incredibly tough and it's good he got a definitive win in the tournament especially now that he's going to the finals. Yea like I said it was a great match but I just didn't get super into it. Might be a rewatch thing"
[8.0] "[4.0*] This was so, so great. One of my favorite AEW TV matches this year. There are still a couple of things I would've done differently but overall this had almost everything I love in a match. Hangman may be the best character on earth right now and I really thing the Endgame should be Mox vs Hangman 5 for the belt at All In. They have history and their feud had a lot of great matches. Hangman's character development has to lead to a title win and this is the best opportunity. Fletcher is the Most Improved Player of 2025 and he's really becoming one of the best heels in the business, he's such a natural with a high attention to small details. This could've been a little bit shorter but was still a massive success, great chemistry from them and I hope they run it back in a PPV ME when Hanger becomes AEW Champion!"
[6.0] "I'm sure it was a good, maybe even a great match. But i could not care about this one, don't know why. i letteraly almost fell asleep while watching it. So I leave disapointed, maybe it was simply not a right time for me to watch it, But i tought it was just acceptable."
[9.0] "This was a solid Main Event Match. Hangman Page punched his ticket to the final round of the Owen Hart Tournament as he'll be facing Will Ospreay in the finals. Kyle Flecther was amazing in this match. He's one of the top people in AEW since the start of 2025. He has gotten jacked and also more confident in his ability, which is great. I loved the double Buckshot Lariat by Hangman Page to secure the win."
[10.0] "Obviously, I have some stylistic preferences. The fact that I could barely keep up with what these guys were doing at times... I dig that. If you have a problem with guy kicking out of pile drivers, boy is this not the match for you. I wont be surprised if some podcast hosts attempt to bury this. With that out of the way, there is nothing more these guys could have done with the time and space available. It was brutal, intense, rapid, fluid, unpredictable... It was everything I want a wrestling match to be. The counters were beautiful. Moves were set up 10 and 15 minutes in advance in a way that just paid off in such a satisfying manner. Kyle Fletcher even found one of the most creative ways of making a call during a match I've ever seen when he covered his mouth from getting hit to call the next spot. Every single element of this match helps elevate the sport of wrestling in my opinion. Television match of the Year candidate... Probably FrontRunner right now."
[7.0] "This was a very solid match. and another great match from Adam Page. Kyle did great work here, Adam Page winning here was the right call cause he deserves it and I don't need another Ospreay/Fletcher Match."
[9.0] "What a great main event this Dynamite, really. A very physical fight where they gave it all, I was completely with Hangman but it was a spectacular job by both. I just hope that this great effort of Cowboy Shit is rewarded with the world title of Mox or Samoa Joe, which is still unknown."
[9.0] "Kyle Fletcher vs Hangman Adam Page ****1/2. Excellent match. Very physical bout from the opening bell with some sick nearfalls the deeper the match went. Hangman rules and Kyle Fletcher just gets it. He's incredible. Him flipping the switch and figuring out the little things along the way after he turned heel reminds me a lot of what happened with Roxanne. Both of them are still so young too which is the scary partt. Kyle Fletcher becoming his own man and not moving like a Ospreay clone anymore was one of the best decisions he has made in his career. The sky is the limit for him. He needs to win aew gold this year (adam cole I'm looking at you buddy). Need to see Fletcher and Hangman run it back in the future but on ppv next time. Aew good!"
[9.0] "We are gettting Hangman vs Ospreay. Match of the night here and wow! Kyle Fletcher it's improving more and more every single day, he's not only becoming a great wrestler with a potential top to reach, he's already one of the best wrestlers in the world and you can really argue about he being the best! Taking unnecessary bumps only for fun, doing crazy spots and putting the guy he's facing over, that's WOTY material enough for me. Happy for the way the match development and for the result mostly, cause I don't know if you guys know, but we are getting Hangman vs Ospreay. First time ever."
[9.0] "After having huge expectations, this felt surprisingly slow and plodding for the most part, with moves being great, but everything between and the flow missing something. Ultimately the ending was great and the match left a positive taste, so I can't complain too much."
[7.0] "I am not as high as everyone about this match but it was great, both are two of AEW's best right now and they don't fail to deliver every single time they step foot in the squared circle. They showed some great chemistry and the match had a great flow, it was interesting with Kyle Fletcher doing some great heel work and Page continuing to do some fantastic character work, Hangman is probably the best in that department. Loved the ending with Page hitting a Buckshot Lariat with the assist of the turnbuckle, which is really unusual, following by another one to score the win. Can't wait to see Ospreay vs Page, it has the potential to be a MOTYC - ***3/4"
[9.0] "AEW has a great roster of big, bulky, but fast-moving performers. It makes all of their moves and strikes feel especially impactful. Hangman was always in this camp but Fletcher has firmly entrenched himself as one of those guys. The early clothesline that turned Fletcher inside out was great, as was the false finish on the lowblow."
[8.0] "Hard hitting and exciting back and forth match with Fletcher forcing Hangman to stretch his game a little bit to pick up a win. Fletcher has now set the bar for Will/Hangman."
[9.0] "[4.50/5.00]: Fletcher's 2025 run has been ridiculous, but Hangman just reminded everyone why he's one of the best in the world. The synergy these two found was next-level like watching two puzzle pieces no one realized fit together this perfectly. If they keep this up, we might be looking at the spiritual successor to Hangman/Swerve. No wasted motion, no dead spots, just 100% must-watch intensity from start to finish. This was a great wrestling match."
[10.0] "Hangman at his best is AEW's best babyface, almost the perfect modern babyface in the sense that he's not a perfect person and he has his issues and his anxiety that troubles him but he tries to get through it and that resonates with people, many do say he is the main character of AEW. Combine that with Kyle Fletcher who in my opinion is the best heel in the business today and you get pure magic. Magic that's elevated by the fact we are in Hangman's hometown, this match had some great enthralling action but mostly nothing you haven't seen before. However, it was laid out and built so well that the intensity kept getting higher and the drama kept ascending and it all felt very earned and led to a great heated compelling finishing stretch that delivered a happy ending to counter what was before that a heel heavy night. Just great stuff."
[8.0] "Hangman delivered in this tournament so far, Fletcher also delivered in this tournament so far. I was expecting this to be relatively solid, but I didn't expect it to be this good. Hangman has incredible chemistry with Fletcher who really compliments the vicious brutal heroic nature of Hangman in his home crowd. I've come to really appreciate how much he milks the reaction from the crowd, like in this match, where he repeatedly stalls as the audience waits for Hangman to blowback on him. Some real frightening bumps in this too, I thought Fletcher tweaked some part of his upper body from how he was selling it. They do go on and you really don't know who's going to come on top in this one. After probably one of the best ref bump advantages that I've seen in a long time, it seems like all hope is lost, but Hangman manages to stay alive. Some might be turned off by nearfalls but here I thought it was implemented quite well and makes sense for Hangman to do so. Hangman manages to pull the win with a Buckshot from the top rope (? ) and and a second one for good measure. Great to see Hangman get the win and if you didn't know how good Fletcher was you know now with this match."
[9.0] "Amazing, amazing match. Just as good as you'd expect from these two. Kyle is making a case for best wrestler of the year and Hangman's match catalouge is just insane. The Virginia crowd was hot and loved his favourite son as the two put on a banger match. Just a great babyface easy to cheer for and a chicken shit heel easy to hate. Kyle is excellent at making you want to see his opponent beat his ass. The action was great. Lots of intensity and strikes. Kyle has a huge abrasion on his back which was quite scary. Just shows how physical the whole match was. There were some great spots like the brainbuster on the apron or the tombstone on the floor. The two had absolute fantastic chemistry together and they're exchanges were always great. Thought it was over when Kyle kicked Hangman in the balls and hit a brainbuster, awesome 2.9999 nearfall. In the end Hangman picked up the win with a buckshot lariats, one descending from the top rope (like Swerve did at All Out '24) and a traditional one from the apron. Awesome match. 9/10 - 4.75*/5*"
"You knew it would be fantastic when the match was made, but with AEW giving these two talents all the time they could ask for to create magic, this bout exceeded expectations. People need to give Kyle Fletcher more credit. This kid has developed into something truly extraordinary in the short period he's become a singles star. He's forged a style that not only works with every kind of opponent but seemingly allows him to produce consistently high-end matches. He doesn't require Ospreay. He's been an integral part of mind-blowing contests with Komander, Mark Briscoe, and Brody King, among others. Page, "the main character of AEW" continues to showcase why that moniker fits. He's entirely selfless in his selling and did everything possible to put Fletcher over. His push will come. For now, we're all in line for a MOTYC at Double Or Nothing. [****1/2]"
[10.0] ""Hangman" Adam Page is the most important wrestler in AEW history. He's always been there, through thick and thin. He's always lived up to expectations. When he needs to elevate another wrestler, he does. When he needs to tell a story, he does. Hangman Page and Kyle Fletcher, two of the best wrestlers walking the Earth today, just had one of the best TV matches of the year. Stiff, well paced, and perfectly escalated. Loved it. I cant wait to watch Hangman vs Will Ospreay, they will easily have a match of the year contender."
[10.0] "Reportedly, the winner of the Owen -- and the world title challenger at All In -- is kept incredibly secret this year. Whilst Ospreay on the left side of the bracket was a cert to get to Double or Nothing, it's a testament to the tournament's booking that even the smartest of marks would be hard-pressed to nail on the winner of this match, even as the match was on-going. Perfectly structured match between two men evenly matched in the AEW pecking order, with momentum swinging to and fro with such deftness that it was impossible to tell who would get the definitive pinfall, with the urgency ramping up as the match went on. Amazing spots too, such as the moonsault into tombstone on the outside, the dead-eye on the apron, the buckshot-into-nutshot. One of the best kick-outs I've seen in a long while, too, with Hangman getting the shoulder up from the brainbuster at 2.999, which I completely bit upon. All this leading to the finishing buckshot, at which point caution was thrown to the wind and disbelief suspended, and the pop for the successful pin was the kind that you only get from the best of matches. What an amazing match, this entire tournament has been amazing."
