Davey Boy Smith Jr. vs. Tom Lawlor

[8.0] "Very good match. THe first half was pretty good but the final minutes put it near great territory. DBSJ always delivers in these types of matches and Lawlor got to be prime Lawlor again. ***3/4"

[8.0] "Davey puts his catch wrestling training to great use as he dominants and ditcatcs the mat work with Lawlor being on the defensive and fighting from beneath. Even with his strikes, he far out matched Lawlor just to the weight he? d put behind them. All Lawlor could do is try and block and figure out holes he could exploit. Loved the way Davey Jr incorporated his powerslam into a match of this style. It just added to the idea of the whole show blending shoot with pro styles. The sliding lariats from Lawlor were awesome - just a total desperation move that lead to the finish where they leathard each other with strikes followed up by a wicked powerbomb. I went crazy, the fans went nuts. It was an awesome explanation point to an awesome match. ***3/4"

[9.0] "Pretty great match, though I think I liked the Thatcher/Minowa match before just a bit more. Still, Davey Boy impressed me more here than he usually did and looked better than Lawlor, which I wouldn't have guessed. The ending was quite impactful!"

[9.0] "A hard hitting match that woke the crowd up from what was a fairly decent card up to that point but really stood out amongst the other matches. DBS really kills at these shows and Lawlor matches him here. The energy given from both really brought the crowd to live and made the following matches better, honestly."

[7.0] "Bloodsport will always have unique matches, and this was no different. I don't understand why Davey is not a world champion yet, the guy is one of the most underrated talents on the planet right now. I don't even need to talk about Lawlor since the guy is super likable and always delivers."

[8.0] "Pretty good match. 3. 5 stars, Crowd was hot at the start and up and down through the rest. Davey is now 2-0 at bloodsport. The pace was good and the cooperation was really good. Not match of the night but 2nd or 3rd best. Jr Kratos vs Erik Hammer being my match of the night. Giving it an even 4 stars"
