[3.0] "Not a whole lot of originality in this one unfortunately. Just a lot of chops, some gnarly blading that's expected at these kinds of shows, and a lazy finish. Suzuki is better than this. Guess I'll end this review the same way they ended the match, before a p"
[3.0] "It's been a bad Wrestlemania weekend for Minoru Suzuki. It was very clear that this was an entrance match as that was the highlight but even if they were just gonna have a striking match with some blood that'd be fine but we also have to take into context the fact that both men hold titles so no one wants to job so when don't even get a brawl to the finish. All we get is Suzuki significantly out classing Matt Tremont in his ability to make strikes look good and keep the crowd interested just by doing that. All Tremont brought to the table was his blood"
[4.0] "entrance match for two legends thats now unfortunately washed, Tremont more so than Suzuki, the finish is very uninspiring, Tremont gets blooded and thats about it."
[6.0] "Almost convinced that this match ONLY existed to have Kaze Ni Nare and Separate Ways play back to back for the entrances. After the bell it was just two dudes striking each other for 10 minutes with no finish; that's not a bad idea but Suzuki can really ONLY do that these days and Tremont is definitely more at home in deathmatches. Of course they leaned into that by having Tremont headbutt the post and blade after like 3 minutes. Suzuki piledriving the ref and the heated brawl after was cool (though I'd prefer that being how his match with Butterbean went down instead of this) even if it is really just a matter of protecting both men. ***"
[6.0] "Fun while it lasted, this match is violent and open-ended. Save a few wimpy punches by Suzuki on the outside, the striking in this match, particularly by Suzuki, looked and sounded great. Both men chop well and Suzuki hits a lot of good forearms (including one perfect forearm after a hush from the crowd). It was kinda hype when Suzuki took out the ref, but Suzuki and Tremont spend a lot of time afterwards kind of awkwardly walking around and hitting each other on the outside. Will this get a rematch?"
[6.0] "That was another fun match, of course when we think about a MiSu slobberknocker in big 2025, it doesn't look so interesting, he's been doing these kind of matches for so long, but this managed to be actually fun because Tremont is absolutely crazy, and took some nasty bumps. Suzuki and Tremont traded a lot of blows, and this looked like another typical cliché match until Tremont started to bleed like crazy, and took some strikes in the head, specially that headbutt straight to the post. The ending of the match was great, they were uncontrollable and started to brawl on the outside, completely ignoring the fact that a match was happening, even the referee received a gotch-style piledriver, I loved it, they fought like crazy and the match simply ended - {**3/4}"
[6.0] "this was cool. I just get lost at the end. treemont has lost to randoms from New Jersey before but he couldn't lose to Suzuki? I guess since theyre both champs so they couldn't look bad but it made it lose points imo"
[3.0] "[1.5*] I thought this was very uninspiring. 10 minutes of not very good looking chops and elbows + a very underwhelming and strange finish. I can say it had "aura" because Tremont is a tough mf and he did a fantastic blade job, but the lack of creativity and the anticlimactic finish really threw me off. Usually when we get the typical 2025 MiSu match, there's at least something cool on the ending stretch. Wasn't the case."
[5.0] "It was what it was. Suzuki looked like a madman and you knew this was going to be a brawl. They didn't want either to look weak so they went with the cop out finish. Oh well, it was still fun while it lasted."
[6.0] "Your reminder that Matt Tremont is 37 years old. Rough paper round. Fair play to him though as he clearly remembered to pop a few aspirin here and worked hard to get something out of Suzuki that was not just playing the hits."
[7.0] "This was a shit ton of fun, Suzuki is kind of been in his "play the hits" stage of his career but he's over anywhere he goes as well as Tremont, unlike some other Suzuki standard matches, this had a bit of fun substance with Tremont's selling and headbutting the ring post to Suzuki working over the cut, would go higher but the finish was a no contest."
[5.0] "I wasn't a fan of the brawl after the match with the referees separating them, it wasn't a good example of that trope at all. It really didn't look like they were going for each other. Also not a big fan of a no contest in GCW. Still given the match a 5 as I enjoyed it before all that."
[5.0] "Not a bad match, but I think this one loses its heat a little in the post match pull apart brawl because nothing looks like it is meaningful. For two people who have built their careers on brutal shots - albeit of a differing kind - the punches and shots in the brawl at the end just looked weak"
