[8.0] "This was a fantastic sprint, an action-packed tournament match who was very short but rich in quality. I think the chemistry between Ali and Murphy is so strong and excellent that you can give them five minutes like this, they'll still come up with a very good match with some innovative stuff. Since it was so short they decided to do a condensed version of what they have done together in the past and it resulted in this very fun match-up which is another solid match to add to their catalog. What I like about the diversity of their matches is that they take place all over the place, they killed it on PPV, on 205 Live and even on SmackDown. That's cool for them and they always deliver so, big thumbs up."

This was an introduction/a first glimpse of what these can do to the smackdown audience. It was quicker and more toned down than their previous encounters, but it still was a great match and is worth watching. Surprised with the result, even though both men deserved the win so I am ok with who advanced, at the same time it would be better if this was a semi final match."

Murphy undid all the brilliant work against Roman and Bryan with a sloppy display, lots of hesitating between combinations and little flow to exchanges. It seems a lot of people imagined a match that simply did not happen. Booking Ali to win after getting Buddy so over seems odd."

[6.0] "Nothing comparable to what they did last year on 205 Live which was incredible. The match was clearly hurt by the fact that WWE did their commercials during the heat which is always a dumb idea. Murphy did all his trademarks which get over pretty easily with the WWE crowd but there was nothing more than a couple of trademarks traded between the two (except the headcissor DDT in the ropes). It was good. (***1/4)"
