[9.0] "A very good way to close the night--with a somewhat surprising win and a great match where, despite their different styles, Kento initially tried to go toe-to-toe and beat Hideki at his own game. It didn't work out, so he went back to what he does best, but in the end, Suzuki came out on top. Really good match."
[8.0] "Really enjoyed this. It felt like a fight where both guys had different approaches, Kento doing his usual thing while Suzuki was trying to brutalise and slow Kento down with limb work and clubbing blows. Add to that the surprise finish and you've got a great night 1 main event. ****"
[7.0] "A fine main event between hideki Suzuki and kento miyahara, it was kinda unexpected to see miyahara lose here but I think he will have a comeback run in this tournament."
[8.0] "Suzuki and Miyahara put on a well paced match with nice back-and-forth action. This was a satisfying conclusion to the first night of the Champion Carnival."
[7.0] "Hideki Suzuki's work was nothing short of great, his domination over Kento by using his awesome catch as catch can skills couldn't be uninteresting especially when Kento Miyahara sold everything extremely well and had some convincing comeback, loved when he put Hideki Suzuki, a submission master, in trouble with a Submission. A great match - ***3/4"
[8.0] "Good Main Event gave me Showa Era Puro vibes Suzuki was wonderful here brutalizing Miyahara with forearms and painful looking holds Miyahara was great fighting from underneath as always and that finish was very exciting definite match of the night and recommend watching... 7.75/10"
[8.0] "Solid main event to kick off the first night of the Carnival. Kento was fantastic as always and Hideki Suzuki had a really smart approach, knowing how dangerous Kento's offensive combos can be, he slowed things to the mat with some solid graps and even nailed a couple of clean counters. The surprise finish definitely adds some shock value, but the closing sequence felt too weak to really justify the three-count for me."
