[8.0] "Megan Bayne looked like a million bucks here. Toni storm was phenomenal as usual and the finish doesn't hurt Megan one bit. Another great match for Toni Storm."
[6.0] "One of the better babyface performances from this Timeless character. Toni is really good at taking damage and coming back. This match was laid out well, despite being a never-ending crawl. Even that suplex out of the corner was what the match needed at that point, without Megan's potential broken spine, of course."
[8.0] "Crowd is into this early. A nice suicide dive by Bayne, and then it picks up with Luther taking Ford away and Storm punching Bayne. Bayne makes a quick comeback but gets thrown on her head with a suplex off the middle rope. Bayne keeps making quick comebacks after taking a devastating reversal, so Storm is never on offense for very long, but Bayne keeps taking the nearer falls. Bayne then kicks out on one from the storm zero, so Storm changes the method and hits Bayne with her big package that no one's kicked out of as she would put it the next Dynamite. So, Bayne is the more powerful, stronger, quicker wrestler but Storm is the more skilled and the smarter one so she wins. Good match."
[7.0] "A very good and competitive match. It was a tough match for Storm, but the champion retained as expected. When Bayne kicked out of Storm Zero for a one count, it made the fans believe that Bayne could win. In the preview, I predict Storm hitting an inside cradle to win because it made sense for her to win without her finishing move. ***1/4"
[5.0] "I wanted to like this match but then it went on and on and on. The crowd was really hot for this match at the managers spot and that is when they should have went home. But nooooo the women's world championship match should go at least 15 minutes according to the brainrotted current hardcore fans. Anyway after doing everything possible throughout the match and doing the dumb kickout at 1 spot that is really getting old at this point, the match ended in the most boring way posiible and no I don't care that it keep Megan Bayne looking strong they should have been done with this match sooner in order to leave more for them to do down the road when Payne eventually hopefully becomes a bigger star."
[7.0] "Very good match! One of my complaints about the "Timeless" Toni Storm was that she wasn't delivering when the bell rings; well, in the title reign, she's having good matches on the PPVs (Mariah, Megan and Shirakawa)! And that's awesome, it makes her a complete star! (***3/4)."
[5.0] "Didn't rate this one. Found it to be a bit messy and a bit stunted. Didn't fell like Megan Bayne came across particularly well here. Had hoped for more, but didn't deliver against expectations. But of a filler match for a Toni moving off the Mariah feud."
[9.0] "****1/2 (09/10) Everything Toni touches is gold. Not just any kind of gold. The most graceful, world-turning type of Oro that rationalizes the idea that maybe, just maybe she is the best Women's Pro-Wrestler in the game, today. Megan Bayne is quite the runner, herself. But I wish we could hear her talk, get anything out of her outside of the occasional bow-down tweets from her X account. I didn't know how I felt about the finish at the time, but Toni barely escaping the Queen monster that is Megan Bayne protects her image as a threat to the division. Now we'll have to wait and see if she'll get a rematch. Although, I don't know how we'll get one from her if not a single word has come out of her mouth."
[7.0] "Second half of this was VERY good. It felt a little repetitive in the early-middle portion with Bayne doing a very slow beatdown on Storm. If they shortened that part or added in a little more in there, this would've easily gotten an 8 from me."
[5.0] "Picked up near the end, but my goodness was it a bore before that. Dull and repetitive, with Bayne very slowly beating on Storm. If it had kept the ending's pace all the way trough, it would be another story, but alas, as it is, it almost put me to sleep before we got there."
[9.0] "I loved this match. They told the story perfectly, of Megan being this monster that no matter what Toni threw at her, she couldn't beat her. The 3 hip attacks into a storm zero for only a 1 count really helped solidify Megan as a (greek) god. Toni having to resort to using the small package, which is what she used to win when she returned as a "rookie" was brilliant stuff. Also with the Rocky 3 outfit and video package for Toni it just went together perfectly."
[8.0] "[4*] This was way better than it had any right to be. Coming into Dynasty, it felt like Megan Bayne was going to be a one-and-done challenger--your standard monster-of-the-month title defense for Toni Storm. But by the end of this match, Bayne didn't just hold her own. She walked out looking like a future top player in AEW's women's division. And that's thanks to smart booking, strong execution, and yet another world-class performance from the queen of character wrestling: Timeless Toni Storm. The presentation here was on point. Toni came out with a well-produced "Rocky" video package--complete with fight promos and her in classic boxing shorts. With the show taking place in Philly, the reference couldn't have been more fitting. And the commitment to the bit? Immaculate. From the stance, to the selling, to the little footwork movements, Toni fully leaned into the underdog prizefighter role. She didn't just play the part. She embodied it. Megan Bayne wasted no time establishing dominance. Her power offense was on full display--throwing Toni around the ring, ragdolling her with suplexes, and even launching herself through the ropes with a high-speed tope that destroyed Luther at ringside. That dive was nasty, fast, and explosive. Bayne made herself look like a force of nature. Every time Toni tried to mount a comeback, Bayne cut her off with another stiff move--backbreakers, powerbombs, corner strikes. There was even a scary moment where Storm dumped Bayne on her head/face from the top rope after a rough-looking waistlock flip. Not ideal, but Bayne shook it off and kept trucking. Throughout the match, the structure was clear: Toni was getting her ass kicked, but refusing to quit. In classic babyface underdog fashion, she'd keep getting up--just long enough to land a couple big shots--before Bayne would swat her back down. The momentum swings were simple but effective. The spot of the match? Easy. Toni hits four straight Hip Attacks, hits a Storm Zero, goes for the pin... and Bayne kicks out at ONE. Crowd popped huge. It was a perfect moment to sell Bayne as damn near unbeatable. Bayne then sets up for her finisher--Storm laid across her shoulders--but Toni slips out, rolls her up in a super slick small package, and gets the 3-count. It felt earned. It made sense. Toni survived, but barely. I wouldn't have been mad if Bayne won. The way she's been built--an unstoppable, no-nonsense powerhouse--felt like it was leading to a title win. And this match kept pushing that image. But I get it. This was Toni's first PPV defense since The Hollywood Ending, and they clearly didn't want her dropping the belt just yet. The small package finish was the right call if you want to protect both women. It was clever, believable, and let Toni keep her hot streak while still letting Bayne walk out looking like a monster. She's not just a project anymore--she's legit. The coolest thing about this match? Just how different it was from Toni's previous PPV bout. At Revolution, she worked a wild, character-driven war. Here? She played it completely straight--an underdog against a juggernaut. And she nailed it. Toni Storm might be the best character-performer hybrid in all of wrestling right now. Every match feels different, but they all work. She gets what makes pro wrestling fun and emotional. And best of all? She makes her opponents look like a million bucks every time. AEW is clearly building toward something bigger. It looks like Jamie Hayter is set to win the Owen and challenge Toni at All In, which would be perfect. Jamie vs. Toni was one of the best women's matches in AEW history, and there's so much unfinished business--especially since Toni's injury angle was what wrote Hayter off TV for over a year. Mercedes might be the "expected" option, but Jamie dethroning Toni with a heel turn in Texas? That's the one. That's the moment. This match was fun as hell. Megan Bayne came out looking like a star. Toni Storm continues to prove she's the total package. The storytelling, character work, and structure all hit. Was it a classic? No. But it was a super satisfying title match that elevated a rising name and reinforced the champion's reign. Great match. Great theater. The AEW women's division might finally be cooking."
[6.0] "I wasn't too excited coming into this one. Megan Bayne just seems very MEH to me. I see her on my TV screen and I understand they wanna push new stars but I don't really know much about her and she seems like a generic powerhouse to me. I do have to admit she impressed me here a little but I wouldn't go back to watch this. [***1/4]"
[8.0] "I wouldn't have been upset if Bayne won. Frankly, that's how they built her up and this story: She's an unstoppable beast. But, I get not wanting Toni to drop so soon (first PPV after her Hollywood Ending). Toni had a fun "Rocky" video package before her entrance with it being in Philly. She wore boxing shorts in the ring and was getting in a "fighting stance" when on her feet as she always plays the part! Bayne started out showcasing a lot of her power offense, literally throwing Toni around at times. Highlight was a tope/dive thru the ropes taking out Luther outside the ring. It was done with a lot of speed and force. She really nailed poor Luther! Toni played the Rocky part very well - every time Bayne would be kicking her ass and Toni was down and out, she would heroically come back with a move or two. She was losing, but never giving up. This was the theme of the match. And with a killer like Megan Bayne, it really works. Toni dumps Bayne on her head/face from the top rope at one point. Seems to have been a missed toss/flip from a waistlock position. Not easy from up there especially with someone Bayne's size. Thankfully she was ok. Toni hits 4 consecutive Hip Attacks on Bayne followed by a Storm Zero and pin attempt - Bayne kicks out at 1! Awesome spot and sequence. Bayne gets Storm up for her finisher (Storm is across her shoulders), but Storm lands on her feet, tucks Bayne's head under her arm and rolls into a pin for the 3 count. Again, with the story it works very well as it took everything to beat Bayne including a VERY slick rollup at the last second."
[8.0] "Going into this match, it felt like Megan Bayne was going to be a one-and-done challenger (and time will tell if that happens), but she had a hell of a showing here that has me thinking she will be a major player in AEW for quite a while. Toni Storm made her look like a million bucks, especially by only being able to steal the win with a small package. Bayne kicking out at one after Storm's barrage of finishers was super impressive. ****"
[3.0] "Worst match of the night comfortably.. Megan Bayne looks great but she needs to be with a good/great worker to elevate her and Toni Storm Is all character and not match ability. The period of Megan taking control was pretty boring and the fire just wasn't there during the match from Toni. Just felt like a regular match that should have been on Dynamite and I don't think Megan should be losing to Toni and the match shouldn't have happened this early in the first place. Far too early and too soon for this"
[6.0] "This match didn't do as much for me as I thought it would. The first part was way too long as they took too much time before starting the real 1 vs 1 match without their managers/friends and when they finally got to the point it was way too short. ***"
[8.0] "Incredibly fun match. The theme for Dynasty this year is elevation, and Megan Bayne looks like a star in defeat. I liked the Toni Storm "rocky" angle that they went for in the match, but wish that it had been set up prior. Toni Storm's performance range is incredible, the ability for her to wrestle such distinct matches in back-to-back PPVs is crazy. Megan Bayne stocks are through the roof."
[3.0] "By far the most forgettable match of the card. Megan Bayne is boring and it brings down Timeless Toni Storm's character. We could do better and give her better rivals. This match didn't need to be in this show. It felt like an average Dynamite taping."
[7.0] "7.5/10 : Really good match, Toni Storm is reaching the top of her game with the "Timeless" gimmick and superbly highlighted the talent of Megan Bayne who puts in a great performance"
[6.0] "Another very good match. I loved the build for this and thought Megan was booked perfectly going in. And overall this match went about how I expected it to. All around a good match."
[7.0] "Very good match, taking the direct approach and successfully assisting Megan Bayne in defeat. She's very impressive here, thriving most as they go into the match's back and forth bursts. Storm is the glue though, keeping the people attached and again wrestling like a grappler with all the answers right now. ***1/2"
[6.0] "A solid match that lacked strong distinctions from the in-ring performance. Not bad by any means, but amid an already-slow show it failed to keep me glued. Despite that, between some decent periods of dominance from Megan Bayne and the ever-phenomenal psychological work from Toni and Luther, this match was a highlight up to this point in the PLE."
[5.0] "i fell they tried to hard to make Megan look like a monster but in the same time you give her a little hell manager to cheapshot her opponents which seems to kinda make her look like a coward which is the exact opposite of how she's presented. The action was decent but the finish and the constant interferances were too much for me. [**1/2]"
[10.0] "This was an incredible match that managed to give Toni a huge credit for being smart and protected Megan Bayne in spades. They honestly couldn't have done this any better. Crowd was really hot for this match, Toni's Rocky cosplay was incredible and she was great in the ring as well. Megan looked mighty impressive, getting a ton of offence in. Penelope and Luther's involvement added to the match. Everyone involved was at their best here. Perfect way to execute this match with Toni barely surviving Megan! Fantastic match."
[5.0] "Let's talk about something positive, like how good Luther is. Everything about him in this match was way more interesting than the action in the ring. I still don't fully understand how the monster persona is supposed to work with the help from another little heel, and a boring and uninteresting heel. Penelope Ford, unlike Luther, was extremely boring and lacked any charisma. Megan Bayne failed to show her best in the match and her period of dominance was not as bright and monstrous, and the remnants of her aura were destroyed by the second half with Storm's comeback, where Toni threw a huge number of not very strong punches and in general her offense looked terribly mediocre. I don't like it when smaller wrestlers use their usual arsenal without any problems in a David vs. Goliath match, as if they were having a match with an ordinary opponent. Here, the second half was just taken from any random Storm match, and if you remove Bayne from the match, nothing will change except the disgusting ending. Before this ending, I wanted to give it a higher rating, but to make such a tasteless kick-out on 1 and nosell...it was really bad in my eyes."
[8.0] "What a good match! Megan is a star and she was so good here, she's a future world champion no doubt. Toni always delivers in big matches but here she was super great playing the underdog champion role. Can't wait for the rematch! ****"
[8.0] "A good women's match. Storm is a good champion after her two matches against May. Bayne has been built strong and even if she loses here, I hope that continues. I would like to salute Luther who made the match good."
[6.0] "**** a good match, good sequences, good chemistry, good storytelling. They handled the story of a Megan Bayne in beast mode well, beating Storm with her strength and size, who was gradually able to overcome her with increasingly powerful moves. The only bad thing was the ending, that roll-pin was very spontaneous for what they were building towards. Bayne had kicked Storm Zero from 1, so she couldn't lose in such an anticlimactic way."
[9.0] "Megan Bayne was a beast in this match; she really threw Toni Storm all over the place. Toni showed to be a strategic, crafty champion by using the roll up pin for another win. This was all after the Megasus showed to be near unbeatable once she kicked of 4 butt slams and Storm Zero at ONE. Absolutely awesome match and this sets up Megan Bayne to be a great champion in the future. Lovely title defense for Timeless. (4.5****1/2) 9.2/10"
[9.0] "toni storm is the truth, i loved the rocky balboa typa match and outfit, the finish was great, megan was a really good bigger monster typa opponent. great match."
[10.0] "First match of the night worth its PPV salt. They managed to pack a healthy meal of everything that pro wrestling has to offer into 15 minutes: aura, sports entertainment, comedy, wrestling. Maybe not high-flying, but Megan Bayne's dive was good as any (and felt as impressive as the Undertaker's). To top it off, a finish as good as could be. Looking forward to the rematch already."
[7.0] "Should have just have her won. Megan is the future. She is so good. Hope she still does occasional appearance at GCW. The finish was good as it should be. Makes Megan looks strong. Wonder what's next for her. Maybe a rematch, which I don't agree with if that happens."
[9.0] "Great women's match here, not as good of course as Toni/Mariah but it more than did it's job as a fresh match for Toni, who is probably more fun to watch now than she ever has been. Bayne did well too and looked strong in the expected loss, hopefully she doesn't vanish for months."
[8.0] "4.25 Good matchup. Toni bumped incredibly well as she always does but this match she put over Megan Bayne very well despite Megasus not taking the win here. The end no sell before the roll up was a little weird but this was still very very good and made both women look great"
[8.0] "Once again, Toni Storm has the match of the night. Plenty of great heat segments and a compelling story told throughout, the overconfident giant gets outsmarted by the smaller veteran. One of the only kick out at one spots that has storytelling consequence, and a new favourite. Laughed out loud at Toni using Luther as a launchpad."
[10.0] "Fantastic match and my motn by far. They had only half the time that stinky main event got but managed to tell a compelling and coherent story. Toni is a superstar with a ton of momentum and incredible popularity who makes her opponents look better and Megan looked like a beast here. During the match Toni threw everything at her while Megan kept answering back which all lead to Toni's several hip attacks and storm zero only for Megan to kick out at 1. Crowd who was hot throughout the entire match and was firmly on Toni's side was stunned at that moment. This moment led to Megan getting really cocky and distracted which allowed Toni to steal the victory by her patented devastating move small package. Luther and Penelope's involvement was awesome as well and didn't take anything away from the match and Toni's Rocky cosplay and promo package was fantastic. They put over Toni for being a smart champion and protected Megan well in defeat while making her look like a million bucks and honestly in a night where so many things were completely off, this was one of the bright spots. Props to everyone involved for this great match."
[7.0] "A decent, hard hitting, Davina vs Goliess scrap featuring some noteworthy impact on the throws - not all of it intentional, but that just added to the jeopardy ***1/2"
[7.0] "A pretty good title match, could've been better in a few ways. Could've had Megan win and really push her as the dominant force in the roster. But Toni is still the most over woman in the company so I get why they're sticking with it. (TK really doesn't like going with the hot hand and sticks to his guns. For better or worse) Finish was ok, Toni wins with a small package, not sure about that honestly. Seen Megan be dominant in Stardom and then do nothing for a year because....... TK had no plans? Megan needs something big going forward, to keep her important and keep her strong. Toni will have a new challenge form the Owen tournament, but should defend before then. Just don't know who will beat her right now, Mercedes needs to lose her titles eventually. 3.75*"
[9.0] "My ONLY complaint with Toni was that I felt her ring work didn't match her character work, but boy has she thrown that in my face! She's been on fire for months now, this match is no exception. I may be a bit dumb, but after that one-count I literally sat there like "what the hell is Toni supposed to do to win? " The small package that followed was absolutely brilliant, I was grinning from ear to ear. Excellent showing from Megan Bayne too, she came across well and looks great in the ring!"
[6.0] "One of the best matches of the show, this stood out because differently than Mercedes vs Julia, it was good all the way, the entire match was linearly solid and very fun to watch, Megan Bayne continued her good momentum with a lot of power moves, and she did very well when controlling the match, she clearly knows how to dominate an opponent and look powerful, and Toni performed incredibly as always, her facial expressions were top class here, and this match was super exciting. The only 'problem' to me here was having basically the exact same finish of Mercedes vs Julia, with the champions retaining the title via roll-up, after outsmarting the challenger... nothing against the finish, just the repetitiveness - {***}"
[7.0] "This was a really good match with a simple and logical approach to their dynamic, with Megan Bayne being the larger opponent throwing bombs and working as a wall for Toni to break down, and what I really liked about Bayne's performance was that when it came time for Toni to deliver some comeuppance, Bayne wasn't afraid to bump and sell for her to a degree that others working the role she was in wouldn't. That inside-out German Bayne took in there corner genuinely made me gasp; it looked scary. Toni is just wonderful these days. ***1/2"
[7.0] "Why do they call her the Megasus when Megalodon is right there? Anyway, good match with power versus experience dynamic. I'm not a fan of the ridiculousness of the gimmick but I like Toni's matches."
[9.0] "Toni Storm vs Megan Bayne ****1/4. Hell of a showing from Megan who wrestled her first ppv in aew. Toni had to dig deep fighting from underneath just to escape this one to remain champ. This ruled"
[9.0] "Completely captivating match, with Toni selling her arse off and Bayne pulling out crisp looking power moves and looking as dominant as the match needed. The finish was unconvincing though. Especially the second time I watched it. It makes no sense that a rollup would do the job after Bayne kicked out at 1 after some decisive Toni offence, before powerbombing her and nearly finishing her off."
[6.0] "*** - A fine match. First time seeing Megan Bayne. She definitely is a behemoth and an intimidating figure. However, I found her demeanour in ring and her delivery as an overall package was lacking. Whereas Rhea Ripley or Jade Cargill always seem like women that could dominate anyone, I didn't feel that Bayne was ever that this figure that Toni couldn't beat or as a mountain that Storm might fail to climb. So when they pulled out the lucky roll up finish it just fell flat for me. That said, the action was very good between the two women, just fell off the path of the story they were trying to tell."
[8.0] "another amazing performance by Toni, and also let's not forget about the very talented monster, Megan Bayne! great character, very good in the ring and has a very bright future and in this match, she proved herself worthy once again! that was the best ending possible cause Toni retained the title and also it didn't make Megan look weak. (****)"
[7.0] "I found it a little formulaic at times and thought the interferences got a bit much at some point, but other than that it was an entertaining match that really picked up towards its later half."
[7.0] "[3.5*] Awesome match, poor finish. Actually, the finish itself was not even poor, but the fact that AEW does not have producers occasionally creates circumstances where different matches on a same show may be disconnected from each other. I will explain. Sometimes, they do 3 matches in a roll where all of them have blood, super nearfalls, kickout at 1 spots or something like that. This makes all of them mean less. We only had 2 women's matches on Dynasty (unfortunately) and both of them ended via roll-up. We did not have a single definitive finish for the women in a 5+ hour show. That was my issue. The match itself had a structure that I love and the kickout at 1 spots ruled. I would have made Megan win tho, specially because Moxley retained nonetheless."
