[5.0] "What in the world is with fans not seeing thee terrible execution on Billie's shoulder bomb? Mercedes landed on her neck/top of her shoulders and was clearly hurt for a bit. That's why we had the extended shot of Billie's goofy attempt at looking exasperated and standing around while Mercedes recovered. The rest of the match was good but that spot was terrible and some fans inability to see something that obvious is weird. I've been told that what I saw with my own eyes isn't what happened. It's all very strange."

Crowd was into it from the start with 50/50 chants & continued throughout the whole match, with the two having great chemistry & pulling out sick reversals. It's amazing that Billie is only 20 years old & she's already this great, the sky is truly the limit with her. The Sugio Driver that Billie pulled out had me shocked & when Mercedes didn't kick out I thought she was out cold but she beautifully got her foot on the rope for a dope false finish, the counter to the statement maker to win the match was well done as well. Would love a rematch but more importantly i can't wait for the Athena match, what a banger this was"

Mone as petulant, dismissive and conceited whilst the plucky underdog Starkz showed heart, skill and determination but was ultimately undone by a lack of experience."

Really strong showing from both, and I'd love to see a rematch down the line once Billie becomes more established. She's so young an I'm excited to see how she blossoms as a wrestler."

[6.0] "This is probably Billie's biggest match of her career up to this point. She's only 20 years old here. She's facing one of the best and most recognizable wrestlers in the world and it's for the Championship... as for the match itself... it got off to a great start with a lot of quick/exciting moves, but then came to a screeching halt when Mone had Starkz in back-to-back "rest" holds of a sleeper and an abdominal stretch for a long time which took the crowd and the energy out of the match... the match was able to recover though... Billie's brainbuster in the corner and leg on the rope wasn't clean and dropped Mone on her head... good transition right afterwards though with the Mone roll-up false finish pin into the "Bank Statement, " however the tap-out by Starkz was a little too quick for my liking. Hold the submission, maybe roll around. A little nitpicky, but meh... overall it was just an okay match. Satisfactory. Hope they get another rematch and that one goes longer. This could definitely be an epic match/rivalry if given the time, effort and build to cook."
[9.0] "Starkz provides a performance that showcases all her experience gained over the past year or so. She's plucky and daring, and provides a scrappy offense against the veteran Mercedes. The champion still looks strong but gives enough to give credibility to Starkz (Mercedes is a beast for saying yes to the Sugoi Driver). I enjoyed the ending in how Mercedes is able to make Billie tap out to the Statement Maker. *** 3/4"

It turns out no, but Starkz did get a ton of offense here and looked like a star in the making. Mone continues her string of great matches. ***1/2"
[8.0] "A little mad at Billie for canceling at an indie show I attended just so she could sit in the sky box at Revolution and take notes, haha, but good to see her get an opportunity. The fact that Mercedes wanted to wrestle her is a huge compliment. It was a good match, and you feel bullish coming out of it because they have some directions they can go that all look pretty good. The false finish with Mercedes putting her foot on the middle rope was extremely well-executed even though no one really thought Billie would win quite yet."

It's really exciting because this is probably the beginning of a really big storyline involving at least three of the best women in the world today. It could also offer on-ramps for at least one other world class athlete, should she become available to do so. And not only that - this is also the culmination of many years of history as well. This match is a really big point in history in so many ways. And man it was really good. Both athletes are just so good. And besides all of the historical and future centered emotions, this match itself was really good."

Also since they've been teasing it for a while, I hope Athena shows up sooner rather than later to put an end to this tbs title run which has overstayed its welcome long time ago. [9.0] "I knew this match would be good, but DAMN lol, I watch ROH so I'm very familiar with Billie and thought she was talented, but wow, I loved the underdog feel, her pulling out all the stops, doing her biggest and best moves just to tap out to the G.O.A.T, ever since the end of last year, Mercedes has been on fire, reclaiming her status as best in the world by a mile, this will lead to Mercedes vs Athena, which will bang let's just hope there's a real build up first ."

Billie Starkz did a good showcase especially after her run in ROH she definitely needed to go forward in AEW. She was pulling off moves so crisp yet gnarly like that Electric Chair Driver that thankfully Mone survived and followed up by Billie's Senton on the apron where she just crash landed on the apron. Very entertaining and definitely MOTN for me in this episode of Dynamite."

This match was so much fun for me. We are getting closer to the eventual Mercedes Moné vs. Athena match shortly with a proper build and a lot of attention, this could be a potenial feud of the year in wrestling. But Mercedes Moné has been one of the best wrestlers in the world today, and this match showed how amazing she is in that ring."

I wasn't really familiar with Billie Starkz (outside of her work in ROH with Athena) prior to this match, but she had a solid showing in my opinion. I'm curious as to how they build the inevitable Mercedes Vs Athena match from here."

[9.0] "Ladies and gents, we have did it. Mercedes has officially had her best tv match in aew and it comes at a perfect time considering who they are finally teasing her facing. She had a bunch that were either good to very good, but this match was great. Mercedes continuing to be the standard that she is leaning into what makes her so great as a heel, by being ruthless, her arrogance, being more vicious with her offence on Billie by looking to teach her a lesson if she thinks she can just try to step to her like that. But Billie held her own here, showing not only that she belongs in the same ring as Mercedes but why her name should not be left out of these convos in regards to the future of women's wrestling in north America. I loved how the finish to the match came about after Mercedes reversed a spot that Billie was looking to do after landing on her back on the ring apron which resulted in Mercedes rolling her up for a pin and then when Billie kicked out, she quickly locked in her finisher that forced Billie to tap from the damage from earlier in the match when Mercedes was working on her back. This was great! more two match women's matches on dynamite please. ****1/4"
[7.0] "Very good match. I think this might just be Mercedes' best TV defense too. Her heel work was as good as ever here, but I think Billie's performance as the underdog was even stronger. She was great at working from underneath, getting the crowd behind her and building to these super satisfying comebacks. Towards the end she almost beats Mercedes by basically dropping her on her head but unfortunately she was too close to the ropes. She goes for a dive on Mercedes on the apron afterwards, but Mercedes just about moves out of the way and manages to roll Billie into the Crossface for the win. Really good, borderline great match overall featuring two great performances from both women. ***3/4"
[5.0] "This match had some good moments. Mercedes was great as always and did what she could to make Billie Starks look good and make us believe Billie could actually win this match. But Billie's bumps weren't safe, she needs to learn to work safer or she won't be wrestling much longer. What really drags my rating down is Billie basically dropping Mercedes on her head. I don't know how Mercedes managed to come out of that one not injured but it was awful. I think Billie Starks could some day be a great wrestler but needs a lot more work. I hate to say it but being in AEW and ROH is not getting her the amount of work she needs to develop further."
[6.0] "This was a standard television match and a good showing for Billie Starks with the result always going to be inevitable with Mercedes Moen retaining the TBS Championship to continue her winning streak but yeah can't really give this anything more than a 6"
[8.0] "This was for sure my match of the night. Mercedes is amazing in terms of consistency right now, with her matches against, Statlander, Mina Shirakawa, Momo Watanabe and Hazuki all being really good to great. Billie Starkz is tremendously underrated and has a seriously bright future, she really does just get it, and she's only 20 years old, so she has plenty of room to improve even beyond this stage as well. Both women took some pretty nasty bumps here, the Alabama slam into the turnbuckle and Billie's swanton onto the apron come to mind. The crowd definitely connected with Billie, especially by the end, and I hope we see her more on main AEW TV. Mercedes is amazing, as usual, and I really hope the teases backstage later in the night lead us to Mercedes vs Athena, hopefully at All In. (****.25)"
[6.0] "I thought this was all pretty rudimentary fine match quality until the final few moves. Mercedes took a nasty-looking bump which added to the match followed by Starks taking one of her own. I didn't think there was enough there to make this something more than that but it was a decent match for the time they had with a good finishing stretch which puts this higher than a regular '6'."
[8.0] "Brilliant start by Billie, and exactly the sort of performance I was hoping for. At this stage, Mercedes is in the "could wrestle a broomstick" category, but she had an excellent partner in this case."
