The Hollywood Ending was not only the best match in their trilogy, but also AEW's best match in 2025 until now. 12 minutes of pure brutality in a bloodbath that was not only crazy spots but also a perfect display of great storytelling and drama. Toni and Mariah were not just wrestlers there, they were actresses and their acting was straight-up fantastic. My favorite moment was Mariah's facial expressions while she was taping her hand to glue the glass, it just showed us what their relationship was all about. The ending was also fascinating with The End appearing on the titantroon. Maybe this would have been even better if it was just a little bit longer, because 12 minutes is not enough for that big of a story, but they absolutely did the BEST they could with such a small runtime. EDIT: In a rewatch, the 12-min runtime is actually perfect and I'm glad they didn't drag this out unnecessarily. The story was perfectly told and the storytelling was simply perfect. One of the best matches of the decade, this is now gaining a few points. |

Some great spots and moments but not enough to go in depth in each one of them. This would have been better with more time to build each spot. Also, Mariah May clearly taking a blow to the neck and then bleeding from the forehead blew me away because it is an example of wrestling mistakes |

Storm and May work together well, they had a completely different kind of match compared to their last two matches and it felt like a fight with all the blood by both women. Whatever hate, heat, intensity and 'I'm just gonna kill that bitch' energy they tried to use as fuel for all the juice and big spots was slipping through their fingers because they had no idea how to escalate the anticipation for what's next between the moves. Storm bled like a fucking pig which is the only thing about this match that was quite insane, but May didn't do a good job stepping up as the heel that everyone in the building wanted to see destroyed, she was totally exposed as someone who can do stuff for the desired reaction of easily impressionable audience, but doesn't actually knows how to do it. Somehow AEW audience continues to be shocked/surprized by the idea that women are willing and able to work bloody brawls, which is by this point is headscratching considering that there was a few notable matches like that in promotions' history - this particular match just didn't succeed at doing anything other than teaching the audience that matches like this are a thing and they can happen in AEW. Hopefully this match will become a catalyst to explore much better and wilder Joshi Puro brawls over the years, just so new wave of fans can watch and learn what the good stuff is and why it's good for themselves. |

I just found it hilarious, that they would no sell any move and kick out of plenty of piledrivers, hence killing the immerisioni almost completely. |

These girls have definitely watched their CZW, BJW and FMW tapes. I mean in Stardom, they're doing main event angles based on friendship and loyalty and commitment to your friends, which is such great writing and a fresh change from the tropes of wrestling. Compare that to this. Well anyway, the final table spot kind of shoddy, but this was a wild ride and a journey of a match, they very well gave it their all. I've got little idea how to rate this, it was great drama and I enjoyed it, cinematic and surprising too. Seeing this on the top100 matches list however, is way overboard ***1/2 |

Zudem noch so viele Kleinigkeiten, wie dass der "closing shot" genau dort auf der Rampe stattfindet, wie Mariahs Heel Turn und der beginn der Fehde. Zudem natürlich noch der Schuh, Luther und neu die Spots mit den Flaschen. Eines der besten Frauenmatches auf amerikanischen Boden und ein wahres Hollywood Ending. (****3/4) |

And absolutely a massive moment sementing both Toni as a credible champ, but also Mariah May as a credible challenger. This match does benefit from having maybe the best finish of all time? Defnitely up there. May laying on the broken table she just went through, Toni hugging her beaten up body, both spitting blood, and the camera panning out as we see the broken Hollywood sign was picture perfect and a amazing touch to put to end an amazing fued in the best way. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention , the inring wrestling was amazing aswell! The spot where both cover their fists with the broken glass got me cringing. Both not conencting at first, but then suddenly Toni connection with a punch got me jumping from shock, absolutely brutal man. But yeah tl:dr this was AMAZING! 10/10 |
