Dani Palmer definitely stood out; her style is pretty fresh, especially with the tumbling background thrown in on the mat rather than in the air. Carlee Bright looked incredibly strong by the end of this match. Great start for a developmental program."

[6.0] "This match had many up and downs. The performance of the higy-flyer Dani Palmer was good, showcasing a lot of atheliticism with her moves. Kendal Grey's performance was also good, with a lot of impactful moves. On the other hand, the other two competitors, although talented, seemed very green. In addition, the match was not put together well."

[5.0] "I really like Carlee Bright's enthusiasm. Given some time, she could really "EVOLVE" into a fun character. Dani Palmer's gymnastics background help her provide some sizzle to the match. Kali Armstrong has the look to go far, she just needs time to develop her character. Kendal Grey was the only one I wasn't sure about. And obviously they were all still pretty green, they still have a ways to go to learn how to sell, but that is part of why I like the premise of the whole show. Giving wrestlers that are still learning their craft the chance to grow both in the ring and on the mic. A good first match. I'm curious to see where all four competitors go."

Dani Palmer impressed with her athleticism, especially her frog splash, while Carlee Bright showed off her charisma and how much energy she has. Kendal Grey also showed off her character, and it's likely that they're trying to make a team that works on contrasts. Or... they could get one of the first big rivalries on Evolve. Either way, it'll be fun to watch. ***"

Amateur wrestling can always get over if done right, and she's only 23. Could have a bright future. No particular botches stand out and the crowd were into the closing stretch."

[4.0] "[4.0] - Good showcase for Kendal Grey and Dani Palmer did a nice job of trying to keep everything together but this was just a little too sloppy. Really unfortunate mistimed pin save that had to be edited around in the home stretch. Aside from Palmer's acrobatics and selling, forgettable"

[5.0] "(Grade:D+/**1/2) For the first ever match of WWE Evolve Debut....it was okay. Dani Palmer was the definite standout here pulling off some sweet high-flying moves like the SkyTwister Press on the outside and that BEAUTIFUL frog splash that even RVD would be proud of! Her Partner Kali Armstrong looked fine being the powerhouse in the match. Carlee Bright was your standard happy go lucky wrestler which can be annoying and Kendal Grey looked good. A lot of fundamental stuff here such as Headlock, Wrist control and etc."

[4.0] "It was a fine match to be the first one in WWE Evolve. I think it went a bit too long and that if it was a couple of minutes short it could have been better, because at times you could see some of the wrestlers look a bit lost. I think the right team won as a see lots of potential on those two women. Kendal Grey was the wrestler who looked the best with his in-ring moves, some chain wrestling action working over the arm and that cool armbar as a finisher or the spear. Her heel character could be something interesting and I enjoyed her dynamic with her partner. Carlee Bright was also good, even if she looked more green than Kendal Grey, but I see potential in her gimmick as a happy and optimistic girl that want the best for the rest and gets happy and tries to high five her partner in multiple occasions. If the gimmick keeps developing it could be interesting, also if she continues to be pared with the heel Grety. Dani Palmer hit the high spots of the match, specially that corkscrew dive off the top rope that took out her partner. And finally, Kali Armstrong. I was dissapointed with her because at first I though she would be a powerhouse, but instead she didn't do that much, just two powerslams. She was the most green wrestler and some things looked weird, specially that promo to the camera before the add break. She needs to keep training and get better."

[6.0] "Impressive athleticism on display early. Liked the dynamic between Gray and Bright with Bright wanting to high five over cover and Gray yelling at her to cover. Liked Kendall Gray's hot tag. Think Bright was a little late with the breakup forcing Gray to kick out. Dani Palmer was an impressive high flyer. Overall clearly a developmental match but it was enjoyable"

[4.0] "Dani Palmer did a perfect job putting over Kendal & Carlee. Kendal has the look of a future top heel--a great discovery. Carlee, on the other hand, still feels a bit too green for me, with the wild, unpredictable character not fully clicking yet. As for Kali Armstrong, she's interesting but still leans too much."

[4.0] "What happened to Dani Palmer? I remember her debuting around the same time as Sol Ruca and Dani being much better; now two years later she's been dumped down in the minor, minor league despite still looking impressive with insane athleticism, although her facial expressions were terrible. Kendal Grey was also very impressive; in fact, as an overall package she was the star of the show, though no doubt it will be clips of Dani Palmer that get shared on social media. On the other side of the coin, Carlee Bright and Kali Armstrong looked abysmal; and Armstrong's mid-match monologue to the camera was embarrassing. I would certainly be interested in seeing a single between Kendal and Dani, but here the match was unfortunately dragged down by their tag partners."

[5.0] "the first match under this new development system. And it is awesome and just really exciting. It reminds me SO much like the early days of the nxt rebrand from FCW. The young guys that don't really have a name for them selves just yet with a mixture of college athletes and indy talent. This is something i wish they began years ago because it just makes sense to have somewhere before NXT. To me the stand out of the match was Kali Armstrong. She could be the next bianca belair. Easily could be on NXT weekly by the end of the year i think. She has something for sure and that is what was so fun about those early day nxt shows where fans could speculate on wrestlers and who they thought would be a star. Good first match under this new system."
