He is relentless & despicable out there, & I love the dick move of coming out in a suit. Between the style of work that epitomized what the X-Division is all about & the temporary return of the six-sided ring, this bout seemed like a bit of a call-back to the earlier glory days of financial viability that TNA was especially well known for. Low Ki doesn't play himself like an impervious monster, either; during the times when Sonjay's offense manages to penetrate his effective defense, he sells very well. Ki taking the first fall was the right call to make, & both combatants & the fed in general was duly benefitted by this stellar bout. |

Dutt once had a nickname as the greatest X-Division wrestler to never win the X-Division Championship, and he beat Low Ki to win the title and dethrone that nickname. Low Ki got his rematch her in a 2 out of 3 Falls match, turning heel along the way. This was a slower paced match where there was more emphasis on technical wrestling, although there was still some high flying here and there. I've seen low ratings for this match because of it, but there's nothing wrong with doing a slower paced match if done for the right reasons and not just doing rest holds. Here it was done well. There were slight bits of no selling from Low Ki for the foot and later his hand, but aside from that, this was a well executed match with Dutt retaining his title and allowing his dream of being X-Division Champion to continue. ***1/2 |

I might remember that Kaval wrestled nicely in a suit, but Mike Rotundo could kind of do that too. It's okay in parts, but then it kind of doesn't matter |

Dutts last great match in impact. |
