"This match was always in a holding pattern, overstayed it's welcome, then they hit a piledriver on the apron and people interfered to end it. The ending made the lack of flow or any sort of momentum somewhat acceptable if you watch wrestling. They didn't do a great match because the plan is to do a real match some other time."
[6.0] "I was going to give it a seven but we all know why it got a six. No one likes the XXF ending but I guess AEW can get away with it every now and again because it only happens a few times a year. Just don't see the reason for it here."
[7.0] "A pretty solid title match, in my opinion, even with the way it ended. Garcia's been having a pretty good reign as TNT Champion, and this continues that. This wasn't the best match of his reign, but it's one that rightfully earns a spot in the catalogue."
[7.0] "A good match that continues the rivalry between the 3 clans. It's cool that the TNT title is gaining importance again lately. The end with the clan attack keeps both wrestlers strong and continues the rivalry."
[6.0] "(Grade:C/***) A very solid TNT Championship match without some issues I had. It was good they had this blow off between Garica & Cole with the multiple trios or tag matches that led to this moment. The action was really good both working over a body part. My issues come down to so of the moves being hit like Garcia hitting a superplex followed by a piledriver for Cole to kick out of 2 threw me off as well as The Piledriver on the apron with an almost count-out for Cole to swoop back in was a little annoying. The ending leading to a DQ finish due to Shane Taylor Promotion attacking them was kinda disappointing though still enjoyed this."
[7.0] "Finish sucked but the match leading up to that point was great. Garcia keeps putting consistent performances and Cole seems to have gone back to his old days. He's finding his footing once again after the lackluster MJF feud. Crowd was hot as both men were cheered and the action was fun. Garcia worked well on Cole meanwhile Cole worked on the back of the head/neck in preparation of the boom which happened, but on the outside of the ring and that allowed Garcia to kickout. The two showed good chemistry and there were a couple of really cool spots. The superplex/piledriver was awesome and the ankle spot was wondeful with Cole being forced to switch foot for the superkick, however DG countered and put him in an ankle lock on the surgically repaired ankle. Finish was bad with the interference and the no contest ending but it didn't ruin the match. 7/10 - 3.75*/5*"
[8.0] "After cementing his reign as TNT Champion through different one-off challenges, DG has found himself intertwined in a tense rivalry between Cole & Moriarty. These men representing three diverse factions have been in each other's heads for a long time and it was built very nicely for weeks. In my eyes, this match was destined to be Adam's christening as a high-caliber prospect to win the TNT Title and his performance spoke the facts. Both men worked their way from a respectful face-off to change over into an intense battle of prestige. Of course, the finish gave an egregious feel but it was out of the textbook to build a rivalry between factions, and I'm confident enough to say that it's about time to feature Shane Taylor & his squad like this. 3.75 out of 5 stars!"
[7.0] "Great match ruined by a "heat" segment. Like, a really great match as well. I liked the legwork of Danny G, liked that Cole got himself into significantly better shape. Not only did the finish suck the air out of the arena, but it did not get the prime TNT belt contender (Shane Taylor) over, but instead his Infantry boys. Who are WAY better as cool heels rather than annoying ones. They are effortlessly cool and shouldn't be ruining matches. Great job by both Cole and Garcia though, the match was both heated and wrestled well. I liked the hint of heel in Danny too."
[4.0] "Yeah of course they did. The Promotions are a great example of an act that has been run into the ground so many times by AEW that they have lost whatever impact they could have. They've been treated as losers and cannon fodder for so long and that adds up in fans' minds. That was what I was thinking as soon as they ran in, as there is almost no reason to believe that this is going to be their big step in the right direction. The match was a good back and forth match with Cole looking better than he has recently, but dang that ending took the lift out of things."
[5.0] "Not a lot worked for me in this one. I've realized more and more, that I don't like very many Adam Cole matches. There are too many false finishes. Adam, I need you to listen to me... You... Are not... Shawn Michaels. And you never will be. So stop kicking out 89, 356, 172, 982 times a f****** match. Also, this felt longer than jury duty to me. Then, a no-finish. And just like that, I do not care at all."
[4.0] "Really underwhelming match but I guess it's going to lead to a rematch down the line so there's that I guess. Garcia's run with the TNT title has been baffling, spending most of his time in trios matches so the momentum for him is nonexistent, might be the best to give the title to Cole."
[8.0] "[7.9] Incredibly fun match, probably the best Adam Cole has looked in a singles match since his return and you can tell Garcia really found himself again throughout. The non-finish did dampen things a bit, but all the action prior to was really good, the entire ankle lock sequence was fantastic. Really hope this leads to more between Cole and Garcia, I think there's something here and DG is seriously in need of an actual feud."
[8.0] "The crowd loved this one and rightly so. One of Daniel Garcias best matches and certainly Adam Cole's best match since the came back. A high pace suited them both and this had lots of good spots. A shame in some ways that this didn't have a definitive finish, but the misdirect with the announcer calling the time was inspired before the interruption. Great match."
[8.0] "Adam Cole's best singles match since his return. This was great. Crowd was in all the way. Love how this match was going until the no finish. I'm moved at the potential dg vs cole vs moriarty 3 way dance at revolution. Again, Adam cole looked good here and I hope this is just the start of something substantial for dg and his tnt title run. ****"
[8.0] "An incredibly fun match, and was on course for the best match of the night until the finish. That said, I can live with the finish precisely because interference no-contests are actually rather rare in AEW, so the few times it happens, it's impactful. And if we get another 15 minutes of these two guys at Revolution on Sunday, as well as a STP trios program, then I won't say no."
[7.0] "I didn't love the no contest ending to this but before that, it was a pretty good match. Cole's definitely bounced back from his period of bad singles matches from his return."
