[7.0] "This whole tournament was a last-minute slot for the already proposed title match between Nakamura & Knight due to the former's unforeseen issues in his personal life, but this became a blessing in disguise for Andrade to constantly remind how exceptional he is and how valuable he could be in the title hunt. On the other hand, there's Fatu who has been relentless since his debut and it was no surprise to store the momentum in favor of Fatu. However, I dream of a plan for a multi-man layout for the US Title at 'Mania involving Andrade. 3.5 out of 5 stars!"

"[8.0] A guaranteed hit but you can always leave it to the WWE to fuck it up by overproducing it, they didn't do that this time around. Giving Andrade the early offence was a good call on both of these guys' parts, the suicida-rana into the moonsault was awesome stuff from Andrade, good display of what WWE misses out on when you leave him in catering over Miz and R Truth. Fatu squashing Andrade's mini comebacks was pretty fun, his counter to the first Meteora attempt with the running crossbody was awesome too and the finish was brilliant and in line with who Fatu is as a character. Crowd was into it from the beginning, the positioning on the card wasn't a hindrance, all in all awesome stuff. Hopefully Andrade can wrestle more moving forwards, Andrade wrestling makes any show better!"

[6.0] "Good in-ring showdown, but it was just a "greatest hits" from both guys. Nothing that truly impresses me at all. A couple of cool looking spots here, Jacob Fatu beating the crap out of Andrade at the end. So short for what these two can truly deliver with a bit more of concern on it. if my memory serves me right, wasn't Nakamura vs LA Knight for the title supposed to happen in this show? All of a sudden they went with this little tournament to get a #1 contender when Knight already was declared that for beating The Miz. It looks like WWE listened from the social media complaints regarding the midcard and the US Title, but I feel like they should've gone with the stipulated match, then doing this tournament (***)"

The only shame here is the match had a guaranteed winner and only 8ish minutes worth of runtime. Had this been allowed to be a twenty minute classic I would have had zero complaints. As it was we had to make do with the quick blast with squash vibes. Better than nothing I guess. The match was well performed. List of hard hitting moves in high paced sprint. Good stuff by an large apart from my earlier complaints."

Little bit concerned at Andrade's long term direction if he's going out to in the first round of a United States title Qualifier tournament, however you get get everything in life"

[8.0] "This was very good. Smackdown has been a bit uneven since the move to being 3 hours so you know a good way to fill out your 3 hours? Utilize your better talent more often like Andrade! There's no reason why he shouldn't be wrestling every other week. He is one of the best in the company. His matches get over every time despite rarely getting a pop when he makes his entrance (that's more so to do with his song). In a better world, he's the us champ rn. Either him or Melo if I had it my way for all the hard work they did carrying the mid card division. And as for Jacob, what a night for him. Showcasing and presenting him like the loose canon that he is with a great showing in both matches tonight. Utilize your better talent more often! . This match ruled. ***3/4"

[7.0] "The first match of the mini-tournament for the #1 contender to the US Championship, between Andrade and Jacob Fatu, was really good. At first, Solo Sikoa was supposed to wrestle, but he allowed Jacob to represent the family. Andrade is a fantastic wrestler, especially with his high-flying moves. Jacob Fatu is a menace, and his brutality and character work make him a must-watch attraction. I'd love it if WWE allowed them several more minutes, but given the time constraint, both superstars did a great job."

[6.0] "Very interesting match, with a lot of impactful moves, but also extremely short, I think that both of them could've easily been on the three-way match, it's a shame that Andrade looks very far from contention right now. Jacob Fatu was struggling, but he managed to revert the situation and connected the moonsault. This rocked as expected - {***}"

Not even two minutes in Andrade had the crowd chanting "This is Awesome" I hope he gets a push for the WWE United States Championship. I thought Jacob Fatu was fantastic in this match this was his best singles match to date in WWE I won't mind if they ran this back and gave it more time. But this was the match of the night, and the right person got the win. But they need to start a huge push for Andrade because it's ridiculous not showcasing him every week on Friday Nights."

[7.0] "A fight that, although it was not long, I liked and was very entertaining, with more than decent action and that could give us great fights between the two of them, I have no doubt about that. Too bad for Andrade, they don't seem to have any creative ideas for him and he's obviously overshadowed by Jacob Fatu who hopefully will be the new United States Champion. I'm not saying that because he's Samoan, I'm saying that because of his talent."

Fatu is getting more and more positive crowd response (he's a heel, but anyway), so that could mean he has a bright future in WWE. Andrade was here to be pinned and deliver some eye pleasing moves, he did well too"

[9.0] "9 minute match and they got 3 this is awesome chants, they easily could've gone crazier with more time but they packed so much in just 9 minutes that the match was amazing. Andrade put on such a good performance he gave the writers no choice but to have him wrestle weekly, and jacob fatu is just so beast that this matchup works so well. These are probably the two best wrestlers on smackdown and if given 20+ min I think they could have MOTY candidate. But that will prolly never happen, send road dogg to NWA btw."
