Hideyoshi Kamitani & Jake Lee vs. Naoya Nomura & Taishi Takizawa

[7.0] "This was really good. I loved everyone's attitude while the stiff strikes were flying out (which was basically all match long). Lee and Takizawa were quite playfully arrogaant, while Nomura was just no-nonsense and focussed. Kamitani didn't get as much focus, but his own offence was appropriately stiff as well. It was fun seeing ex-NEXTREAM members Lee and Nomura continue to air out their grievances with some especially intense exchanges that clearly came across as a personal. Lee was great picking Nomura apart by throwing an excessive number of strikes when he was already down or in a precarious position. Nomura's selling was good, and he always showed great fire whenever he managed to regain some control. Takizawa and Kamitani would rsoon remind is that they were in the match too, having a great strike exchange that turned into a entertaining game of oneupmanship. Nomura and Lee then had some more explosive strike exchanges where Lee continued to look like a total killer and Nomura continued showing his great fiery babyface charisma. The finishing stretch was a very exciting car crash, with both teams desperately trying to put the other away before the the 30-minute time limit was reached. This match was a bit bloated in order to reach the time limit, but still very enjoyable nonetheless. ***1/2"
