Lee Moriarty vs. Robbie Eagles

[6.0] "A match for Lee Moriarty's ROH Pure Title. The pure rules bouts have a very specific set of regulations to play off of. In this case, both competitors rope breaks being spent informed the finish, where Moriarty uses the ropes for leverage to pin Robbie Eagles. Some good double limb work beforehand, the pin was in fact a reverse of a heel hook targeting Lee's leg. Moriarty is great at gaining little advantages by punching Eagles after shoving him into the referee. He also has little moments of subtle greatness, like his more aggressive stomps being directed to Robbie's shoulder to set up the Border City Stretch."

[7.0] "I really enjoyed this bout, Moriarty was very impressive and Eagles killed it as you would expect. It could have done with another 5 minutes really to build and allow more leg targeting from Eagles, but what we did get was very competently executed. Moriarty got the win by rolling up Eagles with the ropes and while there was definitely some room for improvement, it was a really solid bout."

[7.0] "a good little latch I hope that this match will allow Robbie Eagles to have more visibility because not everyone necessarily watches the NJPW. the end is nice with Lee who uses the rules intelligently and uses the ropes to keep"

Moriarty continues to show why he's Pure Champion as well as Eagles saying he's versatility being a high-flyer & submissioning wrestler. Loved the last few minutes of the match both men trying to get the upper hand causing the crowd to erupt!"

[6.0] "A nice match, nothing really stood out to me though, there was some nice technical stuff, but it lacked some oomph, for lack of a better word"

[7.0] "I love that you can see the influence of Nigel McGuinness shining through with Lee Moriarty, with some lovely call backs and tributes to his title reign and the manipulation of the rules. Also really pleased to see Eagles getting a good showing in his home country. Really nice Pure Title match here."

Combining this and Grand Slam Australia, it wasn't a good night for challenging Aussies save for one."
