[7.0] "Even though I'm a fan of everyone involved in this, I did go into this semi-random tag team match a bit annoyed that it was the main event when two very-important-to-the-d-generation-cup-matches were also on the card, both of which involved big fueds that most of DDT's booking is currently centered around. And yet, this ended up being quite a joy, for three reasons: 1) everyone really went all out here, with some truly hard hitting spots such as Ueno's slingshot suplex on Iino, 2) This has a lot of great comedy in it, with everyone jaw-jacking each other as often as possible, and it never gets in the way of the match itself. But the biggest and most important reason is 3) this is booking that capitalizes on the organic "Yuki! " chants the crowd started doing the last time Yuki Ueno and Yuki Iino matched up, and the fact that they are both Yuki plays directly into arcs of the match itself. I kind of hate that Iino didn't get the pin after the -incredible- table spot, but the way it was worked into his "Burning! " gimmick made sense, and was especially worth it when it was built in to a tandem spot with Naya (and honestly? they could -easily- be a consistent team if they did tandem elbow spots more consistently.) I feel like there's something a missed opportunity in not giving Naya/Yuki a team unifying win there, and the last several minutes of the match feels like every MAO comeback you've ever seen. A sour note ending on what was otherwise a really fun and surprisingly meaty match."
