Obviosly I didn't thought it would be a bad match match, but I genuinely thought this was a near five stars match. Kamitani really embraced her new vilianous persona, and both in general came across as big personalities. Kamitani sitting in the ring while Suzuki sitting outside, both taunting each other, really highlighted it. This was a very hard-hitting match, that kind of took me by surprise, it felt like both hate each other, which shows how good of a charachter work both had. Suzuki performed on Kamitani a scary looking powerbomb on the apron, both had back-and-forth poisonranas battle near the end, among other highlightes. This was a great first title defense for Kamitani, and great perfomances by both. [****3/4] |

Nice avalanche german to take her to suplex city afterwards. Trading poisonranas like it's FPW. |

They started very aggressive and cocky (i love the chair spot, Suzu flipping Saya had me dying) Some people say they don't like Kamitani's comedy stuff but personally i think she's HILARIOUS - i love her goofiness. After the comedy part they moved to pure wrestling and it was FIRE! Suzuki is amazing and i would love her to be the one to dethrone Saya one day. One little thing i have to mention was the fact they both should have been disqualified a few times but weren't - i sometimes don't get why refs in Japan almost never DQ's anyone. Overall - awesome stuff by those two, they managed to combine wrestling and comedy PERFECTLY. ****, 75 |

Obviously, going into this match, it was apparent that Suzu would be Kamitani's first successful Red Belt defence, and that seems to be the role that she's fallen into as of late, putting over the likes of Tam and now Kamitani in Red Belt matches. However, that doesn't take away from the fact that she gives 100% every single time. This was hard-hitting, stiff, with both women holding absolutely nothing back. Suzu even channelled more of that anti-hero persona that she was known for before NEO GENESIS was formed, dragging Kamitani around Korakuen Hall, and even hitting her with an umbrella. Kamitani held nothing back either, throwing just about everything she had at Suzu, before finishing it off with a single star crusher. While the opening segment stalled quite a lot, especially with the HATE interferences and the cat and mouse chase around the ring, the middle and ending portions of this match truly delivered. ****1/2 |
