[0.0] "No, I'm not going to go crazy when someone runs the blade if it's a nothing burger of a match and this is a perfect example of one. Cole will never recover from his injury in ring wise and MJF was just bad in 2024. He needed a character change massively. It goes on for far too long and has your usual MJF bullshit shenanigans which did not surprise me one bit. It shows everything wrong with this storyline."
[0.0] "The match that happened a year too late, I do not think that I have ever seen a more heatless match, as everybody was just waiting for the eventual lame ending of Max winning. Why did they even switch roles in the first place? I get that MJF likes working as a heel more, but it fucked the angle where he got betrayed. Then, after the heroic babyface ganged up on MJF, and that was that, why even have this match for the ring if you know MJF is not going to lose it just make it for the pride of getting back at Adam (or Max, I don't even know who's getting back at who here). Just Bad"
[0.0] "This match was painful to watch. It dragged on for way to fucking long, the storyline is all fucked up, and the in-ring work just wasn't good. Cole's injury that he caused himself really fucked up the devil storyline and the fact that they turned Adam Cole back to face and MJF back to heel just shows they gave the fuck up and tried to create something new, but guess what, it didn't work. This match was just sad to watch at times and the only good thing was it ended. The blood didn't help this at all cause at this point nobody gave a fuck about this storyline and it was storyline also later on turned into a joke."
[3.0] "The lowest i had felt about a wrestler in along time was how i felt about mjf and cole in the latter half of 2023 the fact that this dragged on for as long as it did was the biggest failure of booking that tony had ever overseen."

[3.0] "This is a really bad match. The storyline being bad doesn't help with it at all. It's not entirely their fault as the injuries really affected it all, but it was still a mess. The whole devil storyline sucked. Adam's matches leading up to the Max match were all disappointing. The ring rust is very visible and it is still showing. Also the promos leading up to the match were horrible. A mess that should be left alone and never brought back up again"

Also found the babyface/heel dynamic confusing, it's quite clear the crowd were behind MJF and the booking didn't help, MJF had to work hard to turn the crowd against him and that shouldn't have happened. Cole might be washed, I'm hoping it's just ring rust."
[4.0] "A very cold feud with a very cold match. It wasn't a bad match by any means, but I just didn't care about any of it and the in ring work wasn't enough to make it stand out on its own merits."
[7.0] "I loved it because of how entertaining MJF is. Every match with him in is something that needs to be seen. That said, the match itself was just ok. It would have been a 6, but increased to 7 thanks to MJF doing his natural show. MJF being MJF, in short."
[6.0] "This is genuinely a very decent match with it's only negative is the storyline in itself. This was a feud that has dragged out for too long due to injury and unfortunate booking overall. Post match action was at least nice, just seeing Kyle bury the hatchet with Adam Cole. Yeah, I don't know what else that can be said."
[6.0] "The two guys here have been trying their best the past few weeks to salvage something from this story, and that's kinda how the match went. This was a good overall, but the finish and post-match really didn't do it for me, Groundhog Day moment. I really hope these guys avoid each other now, it's such a shame but they have been booked into this corner."
[3.0] "This was a while ago now but it's one of those I can't stop thinking about. Adam Cole just doesn't have it anymore. His earlier work in ROH and NXT is, of course, plenty to rest on. But now? I just don't know. Slow, churning work offset by attempts at high stakes/high emotional storytelling just do not land at all."

Like Adam Cole screwing MJF was a really good idea, and if they just had Adam Cole as a heel when he returned, it wouldn't have bothered me if they did a heel vs. heel feud. But Adam Cole doesn't really deliver since his return and the story is now nonsense."

This match outside of that context would have been ok I guess but just months upon months, bunch of nonsensical decisions, forced contiunation of this feud and terrible segments after terrible segments, none of that helps. This was incredibly boring. It sucks because the first 3 months of this feud was geniuenly one of the best stuff AEW has ever produced so it's sad to see it goes out like this. Match was otherwise average, post match angle perfectly encapsulates everything wrong with this nonsense."
[2.0] "I feel bad rating this match this low, because I like both these guys. Adam Cole in particular at a certain point in time was my favorite wrestler. I loved the Better Than You Bay Bay stuff in Summer 2023. But my god was it a bad idea to go back to this feud when Cole returned. The live crowds haven't been into it, the online community hasn't been into it, and to say I had my issues with it would be an understatement. First of all, this match absolutely did not need blood. It added no heat to the match, and lessened the impact of the (quite good) story of Ospreay bleeding early in the night and how that would effect him later against Okada. Second, why are the babyfaces beating up the heel 5-on-1? Third, I really just don't think Cole works as a face, he's a much better heel. I did not enjoy a single angle they did in the build up to this, not even the face-to-face in Hammerstein. This all should've just ended and been swept under the rug when MJF got revenge on Cole at Double or Nothing, because everything I've seen from them since Wrestledream has been some of the most boring stuff I've seen on AEW TV. This match probably doesn't deserve a 2 based off in-ring quality, but I think it deserves it just for pissing me off personally. MJF and Cole are both capable of doing (and have done) so much better. Thank god this seems to be over at the time of writing this."
[8.0] "Okay so this match should have happened a year ago, the feud was pretty cold by the time we got here - but the match between the ropes was really good, and honestly sold me on why they were so desperate to cap it off the best they could. Could I have done without it? Maybe! But I'm not mad it happened. Now both can go off in their own directions and have some fresh feuds with this properly behind them."
[5.0] "There're a lot of bad feelings going into this match. No one is enjoying MJF vs. Adam Cole, both because MJF been away filming movies and his cheap heat heel promos have sucked and have no pathos, and because Adam Cole as a face should never be a thing now or ever again. But despite all of that weighing on them, the two had a completely tolerable match. It was fine. It went back and forth, didn't overstay its welcome, both guys got their shit in, and the right person won. Let's never speak of this again."
[2.0] "Everything about this match was bad. The babyface/heel should be switched. MJF antagonizing the crowd because they want to cheer him over Cole was bad. MJF's dramatic reactions to everything Cole does was bad, especially considering MJF looks 5x bigger and stronger. The action was bad. The length was bad. The ending with the low blow that we've seen a hundred times was bad. The undisputed kingdom reuniting again was bad. Attacking MJF after he just won was bad. This could've been on Collision. And the unnecessary blood was the worst part of the match, this isn't the heated rivalry they thought it was."
[8.0] "Seems that not many enjoyed this , really surprised me as I thought this match was a fun match that I enjoyed as someone that really likes MJF and Adam Cole's feud , then maybe I was just more invested than most. Really liked everything in ring until the final few minutes with all the cheating"
[4.0] "This was the main event of AEW's biggest ever show in 2023. Kind of weird to think this story has lasted that long, it should've ended way back when MJF returned and just destroyed Cole. Could've kept them apart and waited it out for a year, built them both up again and then they meet in the C2 2025 or something. Match was ok, honestly a regular match and nothing to write home about. But without a good story or an invested crowd. It was the low point on an otherwise good show. This is why you don't stretch out fueds and stories. A 4 seems fair as there was nothing bad here work wise, it was just bland and no-one cared."
[6.0] "More than anything, it was the overall build and booking that made the match very unmemorable. I think MJF is a fantastic worker but I dont have the same opinion about Cole. His offense just doesnt seem threatening or impactful. Im glad Kyle & Roddy got back together, post match was good but the match itself was MID. Im glad MJF won tho, its only fair for him to win and retain ownership of the dynamite diamond ring. ***"
[2.0] "I have never seen much in Adam Cole, but it seems whatever superficial in-ring charms he may have once had are no longer present. It's unfortunate on a personal level he's been so plagued with injuries, been it seems clear they've taken a toll as he did not look very good here at all. It doesn't help of course that this storyline is over a year past its expiration date and has been twisted around to the point where it's impossible to care about. 2 points for MJF trying his hardest to make this work by pure heeling but this was really quite poor."
[3.0] "Worst match on the card with the worst story that was booked in 2024 in AEW or even possibly the worst story that ever happened in the company. The match had so many shitty moments like the ending, or like the fact that Cole hit all of his big moves after 5 minutes of the match and Max just casually kicked out of them all. After the match we had another reunion of the Undisputed Kingdom which suggests that nothing quite interesting featuring Adam will happen in the forseeable future. At least MJF won (wow)."
[4.0] "Cole needs a reset, there was zero heat for this match. MJF especially didn't need this, the silver lining is that they can finally move on from whatever this is. I'm glad he's got the Undisputed Kingdom running again as the other guys can mostly hide his in-ring flaws, his moveset isn't working anymore and he needs to stop doing the strength spots, he should try to work a little bit more like Darby, not in the damage taking sense but in the difficulty to defeat his opponents sense."
[3.0] "This match suffers from Cole and MJF being injured and not being able to close this feud off much sooner. If this happened a year ago could be a different story but it was unfortunately cold. Max looked good in it but Cole unfortunately hasn't found himself since coming back from injury and looks like a shell of his former self. The Undisputed Era reunion with Kyle in 2024 is just not for me but hopefully it leads to fun tags with Roddy. Overall a disappointing watch. *1/2"
[5.0] "If this match ends the Cole/MJF feud, and brings us the Undisputed Kingdom in 2025 (maybe with some multiman matches for Cole to get his groove back), then it was worth it, but I didn't love this match, even more so since I know both men are (or at least were) capable of so much more"
[6.0] "You cant watch this match without thinking about what could have been. AEW made a mistake by revealing Adam as the Devil - they should have switched gears and made it Wardlow or someone else with Adam turning out to be the real Devil when he came back healthy. This match could not escape that decision and the heel/babyface switch. AEW should quietly slink away from this missed opportunity and learn from the error. Also, it needs to be said that MJF's ringwork is suffering with the lengthy absences even though his mic work remains unparalleled."
[7.0] "Although a bit slow at the beginning, this match built up to something decent. It had me more entertained than I expected. Simple, but good stuff. Post-match was also pretty good. ***1/2"
[5.0] "Cole got busted open on a spot we see multiple times every week on AEW television. MJF's was marginally better. Schiavone made excuses on commentary for why the crowd were silent. This match didn't need to be on PPV. Hope Cole can get back to his previous level. MJF's whole shtick is beyond tired at this point. Please let this feud die."
[6.0] "The match itself was booked like dog shit, and really didn't care about an MJF match going into it, but they actually have really good chemistry in ring together and pulled off a really good match. The problem is there's just zero heat for this match, zero heat for the diamond dynamite ring, and we all expected something worth it storywise to make up for a match we all didn't want to really see, so it disappointed there. But bell to bell, they did what they were supposed to do and it was a good mid-card PPV match, but I think most of the frustration with this match is tied to the booking, not the actual wrestling itself."
[5.0] "As MJF once said, "Every single thing in it is mid." After the All In 2023 match, I was expecting a good match, but, while this wasn't completely awful, says a lot about this storyline. It's somehow diminished MJF's importance tenfold when he was once the biggest star in the company, and he's been thrown around in this really confusing storyline. MJF carried the pace and level of the match, Adam looked slow and not very fluid, he positioned himself earlier in the sequences, he had some entertaining things but nothing remarkable, it wasn't a bad match either but it's close to being one, MJF He also did not try too hard to improve the match, it had an adequate duration although it could have been shorter, a normal ending with a classic MJF heel sequence, and I honestly just hope that this is the end for MJF and Adam Cole's feud."
[6.0] "It wasn't awful. This match has just been plagued by unfortunate circumstances but all we needed was a blow off that didn't completely shit the bed and that's kind of what we got. MJF is a heat magnet so you send him out the match isn't gonna be awful and Adam Cole has shown that he is slowly shaking off the ring rust. Unfortunately this match was just serviceable at best but we can all take solace in the fact that this is hopefully over and we can all move on"
[8.0] "The two wrestlers were absolutely head-to-head, and that's exactly what they should be doing, because the storyline of the match revolves around Diamond Ring and Diamond Ring hitting the opponent's head. On the other hand, the finisher of the two wrestlers hits the opponent's head the most. The ejection of Taven and Bennett from the side of the ring was one of the best sequences of the entire event, and Maxwell's heel work throughout the match was fantastic. Midway through the match, Maxwell decided to hurt Cole's leg, which Story reinforced, and he did it with all his heel presence. I really liked the ending of the match, it really raised the excitement, and that's great for a great match. The collaboration between O'Reilly and Undisputed Kingdom was also amazing."
[3.0] "Thank god this mess of a feud is over. All of this for a year and a half at this point for a MJF just cheats and wins finish. Just like that we wash our hands of this whole mess and all the people involved with this whole mess of an angle(MJF, Adam Cole, Undisputed Kingdom, Kyle O'Reilly) are all now worse off from being involved in it. They tried with the double bladejob to make people care but this just wasn't it."
[4.0] "The storyline is an extremely garbage mess with the roles reversed for some reason. MJF tried his absolute hardest to make it work and he even tried his hardest to make the match work but it was just lame and not that entertaining. Adam used a blood packet and mad it look like shit, MJF made Adam look like a threat in which he clearly wasn't. Overall, I'm glad MJF and even the fans decided to boo Adam and the Undisputed Kingdom instead of Max, who is one of the greatest heels of all time and yet he was getting cheered. Overall this was a huge mess of a match that was very disappointing."
[6.0] "i completely understand the hate for this feud because in my opinion this portion of there story is some of the worse work either man has done in there career to this point. None of it made sense since adam cole returned back in october. But what i don't get is the hate on the match here. This is perfectly serviceable as a fine ppv match. In my opinion there was matches that weren't as good as this match on the card just before it. At times it was worked pretty slow. I enjoyed the way mjf got taven and bennett away from ringside pretending he got hit by them just so he can get to his dynamite ring. Alright match in ring but after the match the segment of roderick strong coming out to save cole from getting his leg tore up in a chair by mjf. Cool whatever i personally would've liked it to be the opposite of oreilly saving cole and then strong being the one to corner off mjf not allowing him to leave to the locker room. Which would've made sense with the story recently being cole and oreiley weren't on the same page and oreilley had some sort of issue. Which how did the issue get fixed on oreilley side ? Will we get that explained to use i honestly doubt it. But whatever undisputed era is back together on tv but nope the fucking kingdom have to also be there. i'm so tired of legit all 5 of those guys being on tv which 5 years ago if you asked me that i wouldn't never ever believed you. This should've been a oreilly comes out to help cole but turns on him. That's it right there. Probably cole's best match since returning but man he is struggling. 3.25 stars"
[6.0] "(Grade:C-) This had some solid wrestling though I felt like fighting over the Dynamite Diamond Ring has no value especially w/ it being the "MJF" ring and should've had another stip to it. Adam Cole slowly get back into the feel of the ring looked good yet hopefully he can move on from this feud and rebuild himself again as well as reuniting with Undisputed Kingdom . MJF whilst being a good heel just feels like he's doing too much at times for me. Definitely one of my least fav match of the PPV."
[2.0] "Awful match as expected but to it's credit, there were a few moments that were unintentionally very funny. Like when they started doing the big Frye/Takayama hockey fight spot i actually burst out laughing because of how shit it was. Also the fact that MJF wins this despite nearly 3 months of build up and making Cole go through all of these hoops to get a match with him is just such a hilariously awful way to end this feud. Other than those moments this was mostly just really heatless and boring wrestling. Both guys bleed but it doesn't look particularly good and there's an attempt at limbwork for some reason from MJF but Cole literally never sells it and it never factored into the match at all. A very bad match but that was to be expected. *1/4"

But the match itself was a good match, taken on face value it was MJF and Cole doing their thing really well, not to the level of wembley, but definitely not deserving of the hate."
[3.0] "Ugh. This story has been horrible and no one wanted to see this. The match was not good by any means. Both bladed from some ungodly reason and it added nothing to the match. Adam Cole is not good right now. Completely heatless affair that I could not be paid to care about. Cole has had worse though so I won't go lower than a 3 lol."
[6.0] "A largely okay match with a bizarre post-match in which several faces restrict the arms of one heel while a babyface smashes the heel's unprotected face with a weapon which is always sold like death. Then said babyfaces stand over the body of the heel, mock him with the ring, and celebrate. I'd call this a heel turn if I didn't think we were supposed to cheer about Cole reuniting with his friends. Hopefully they can cut their losses on this one now that Cole has his "The real prize was the friends I made along the way" happy ending."

The booking is just ass backwards. The crowd wants to cheer MJF. And Cole just feels sloppy and dull since his return. Nobody cares about the Undisputed Kingdom. They're all bland and I'm sorry if they all left AEW tomorrow not a soul would notice."
[2.0] "This is a very bad story surrounded with unlucky elements which could have been save in the form of good wrestling... However nothing remotely similar happens between this two. Adam Cole is rusty, yes, but I don't think is only the injury but her whole arsenal that feels void and lifeless. MJF used to know the equilibrium between heel antics, a little of overacting and actual wrestling; well, quite of the first, a lot of the second and almost anything of the last is the mix now, quite sad."
[6.0] "Basically an inoffensive match, but this angle feels cold as ice and the moment of the reunion after the match fell flat as a result. The elephant in the room seems to be for my money, that the crowd don't buy MJF as the out and out heel and don't want boo him and Cole feels like the heel and villain. So they need to pivot and accept that or do something to change the narrative. As things stand, this just isn't connecting."
