[4.0] "DDT's first ever shoot-like match was fine. There were many highlights and some awesome strikes, but match's flaws are just too big to overlook. In the start of the fight wrestlers didn't really connected well, which is a major part for a shoot-style affair. Chotaro Kamoi can throw a heavy punch, but this man is no Toba, he just doesn't have the consistency or spirit of the real DDT boxer. Phantom Funakoshi went for the ground wrestling approach, which looked a bit rought, that finishing bridging pinfall says it all. Still it was rather a good match, but this damn Kamoi manager is such a nuisance, his interventions showed that DDT were not sure if the crowd would get into the fight itself and wanted to add some old school drama, but audience didn't react to this crap at all, because it looked really stupid and out of place, not even costing a DQ or anything. This could've been a good match, but it is what it is. **1/4"
