Not that there aren't talented folks on there but, well, there's only so much time in the week after all. But when I saw this match I hoped to make time to check it out, and it was well worth it! Komander is a very fun high flyer who can be a little hit or miss at times, but he's getting more well rounded all the time. And here he is fighting MY MAN Hechicero, the wizard of Lucha! Hechicero has my luchador of the year pretty much locked up at this point, I love how he blends his nuanced technical style with being a deceptively quick and hard hitting guy, not to mention bigger than your average modern luchador and still capable of pretty much anything you could ask of him. This match gelled extremely well despite (because of? ) the clash of styles, the way Hechicero trapped Komander's arm off that top rope attack was so sick, it looked very natural and I genuinely bought that Komander would go down to that move. He barely escaped but took the loss soon after and Hechicero was looking damn good. I like Komander but too bad Hechicero wasn't available for the C2... |
