[3.0] "Worst women's war games match ever. It was so sloppy until Iyo came in. Nia looked like she had no idea what the hell she was doing and they had the team with the 2 world champions lose for the sake of furthering a story that nobody cared about."

[9.0] "This match has a really bad and untruthful rating. It's an underappreciated work. The botches didn't stand out enough to justify such a low score for the work of the women. The teams were very well coordinated, and there were a lot of great female wrestlers in the match. Each wrestler's character was perfectly expressed; we understood who is who and the motivation of each wrestler. Iyo Sky is a goddess. She created the most amazing content in the match. She was super charismatic. The fire extinguisher and the jump from the top of the cage bucket were genius. Honestly, this is probably the best match of 2024, I dare say. I was really interested in watching it, and I was engaged like in childhood. The only reason I gave it a 9 instead of a 10 is the unfair positioning of Morgan as a weak champion again. The pin was on her, even though it would have made more sense to pin Nia Jax or Candice LeRae. Although Liv was presented as the final boss and the last to come out to the ring. 4.25 stars."

They did a whole lot of nothing for 40 minutes, if Iyo and Tiffany doesn't do the dive this match would not have any highlight at all lol."

The match is a huge showoff of the great women's roster in WWE with Candice Lerae, Tiffany Stratton, Liv Morgan, A significantly improved Nia Jax, Iyo Sky, Bayley, Bianca Belair Naomi and Rhea Rhipley. Iyo is really making history as Mrs. Wargames, Tiffy was great as well and the Mitb fakeout was really fun, Rhea putting Liv through a table was awesome and overall it was just amazing. I understand why people don't like it cause of the slow start and how the story doesn't make sense but as a match it is amazing."

Okay, I'll let this one go, because everyone is entitled to their opinion, as they say, though who exactly is they? I'm just kidding. I think the thing with WWE is because of where it stands in the Pro-Wrestling world, if something is not pristine perfect whatever may be an imperfection gets overblown in the consensus eye. But I'm telling you go and rewatch the opener to Survivor Series 2024. Maybe even smoke a little bit of weed and tell me you aren't watching an above star classic by the time IYO came falling from the sky inside a purple bin! I still wouldn't believe you, though. If you agree with what Meltzer rates, then you clearly aren't a (true) fan of Women's Pro-Wrestling."

The fact that a multiply women feud in NXT had a better reason to have the War Games stipulation is all you need to know why this felt forced." gave a point for iyo being iyo"

[2.0] "This was pretty bad in my opinion. They didn't need a women's wargames this year and the story didn't even demand it. This match would have suited much better as a traditional 5 vs 5 elimination tag. They already messed it up in the start with the heels having the advantage. This match was too sloppy and messed up in my opinion. A shockingly bad performance from Bayley who has always been consistently good. Nia Jax shouldn't start wargames matches, she is not build for that kind of roles in wrestling. She should have been the last person for the heel team and destroyed everyone as she is much suited as a monster heel rather than being the ironman for a wargames match that they had her do here. The last five minutes was when the match really picked up with Iyo and Tiffany being the MVP's of the matches. Iyo Sky is the best women's wrestler in the world today. But overall pretty bad match in my opinion and a huge downgrade from last year. Should have been a 5 vs 5 elimination tag."

A ton of effort was put into the match, coming up with all of these spots to do during the match. But there was no effort in actually putting anything together that made sense or peaked at the right points. The finish of the match was an avalanche Riptide, but that came five minutes after Nia Jax got put through a table off the top rope. Iyo Sky did her stupid dive off the cage, but Tiffany Stratton did a Swanton off the top of the cage at the same time. It was just a bunch of shit happening, a lot of it being done poorly. This would have been a bad Lethal Lockdown. This was a strong contender for Worst Match of the Year. 1/2 *"

I mean when you have Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, and Candice Lerae teaming with Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez when they were literally feuding earlier in the month makes no sense then you have Iyo and Bayley teaming up while they don't even acknowledge their feud earlier in the year. And in-ring the match was a super slow paced bad match as well with Nia Jax doing what may be the worst chair shots I've ever seen in my life. The only reason I even gave it a 5 is because Iyo, Tiffany and Candice had some crazy spots."

[3.0] "It would have been a "2", if it wasn't for Ripley and Iyo Sky. The others were embarrassing, especially Nia Jax. I'm really disappointed by Jax: I was one of those who really liked her when she arrived, because she has the physique to be potentially impressive, but in the end she's not. She always botches, her hits are too light, she often appears confused, as if she doesn't know what to do. And she did too many horrible matches like this one, so now I'm getting down from the "Nia Jax train". The other girls were just slight better, but still: girls in general need to get "dirtier", to not be so afraid to get hurt or to hurt the opponent. There's still too much difference between men and women in wrestling and this needs to get fixed. Rhea Ripley is the perfect example of how a woman in wrestling should be: she's strong, she hits strong, she get bumps like a pro, she's sure of herself and of what she's doing."

There is not a moment of believability in anything these girls are doing and most of it looks like shit. Using a bunch of weapons(mostly terribly and ineffectively) and a couple high spots do not make a good match that is proven in this match when that formula falls apart what is left is a train wreck."

[4.0] "The match has a whole has a lot of flaws. Personally, I am not a big fan of the War Games format in general but I can look passed it if the match itself was good and entertaining. For most of this match, I did not think it was entertaining. A lot of the moves in ring did not look good, the best example was the Nia Jax chair shots. To give credit, obviously she is trying to change the reputation she has of injuring people, but I think she could make it look a little less obvious that she was not hitting them hard if she was even hitting them all. The story as well did not add up either. You have Liv Morgan and Nia Jax who were just feuding at Crown Jewel be on the same team which I feel like invalidates the Crown Jewel Championship even more. Alongside that, you make both brands champions look weak in this match as they were on the losing team with Liv eating the pin and it made it clear that this was done to build to another Rhea Liv match. Despite these issues, there is a reason that I did not give it a lower rating. I think once the real match actually got going it was very good. It provided a good spotlight on Candice Lerae who is one of the most underutilized talents on SmackDown in my opinion. Plus Iyo Sky really shined in this match as she usually does. Iyo Sky alone pretty much gets this match a little bit out of the gutters for me."

[6.0] "I've read multiple times this match was a disaster. Well, the whole story was. It just was an amalgam of top women stories today in the main roster without a true organic connection (a brief altercation between Liv, Raquel, Jade and Bianca, the Nia Jax feud with Naomi and Bayley and the already burnt out Rhea vs Liv feud, with Io being inserted just because she is Liv's next challenger). The match was better than the story, but it wasn't nothing beyond really mid. WarGames is a stipulation that needs a heavy story to make it work. Without it, you're not going to see any excellence, just the same collection of spots and the basic match scheme this match could present. It's funny how WWE always present themselves as a tough business and their wrestlers have to be really tough to work for them (mostly they sell this idea in documentaries and shows like Tough Enough), but then the reality is they make their wrestlers, specially women, to work as soft and bland as possible. You look at this match and you look at a singles bout in a joshi promotion and they are completely different. Joshis are tough, women in this match were bland AF. Nia, Naomi, and I don't remember who else, throwing the Hulk Hogan weak ass chair shots over and over, Candice LeRae doing a moonsault on Bayley and just hitting her with the palm of her hand, Bianca Belair being the complete disappointment of the match by being MIA. Io Shirai, once again, was easily the best of the match, followed up by Nia (I can't believe I'm saying this, but it's also a proof of how mid this match really is). She didn't do much, but at least put on the most intensity, was part of the most appealing spot of the match (which was so damn forced, overdone and just made for the sake of fanservice that it didn't do anything for me but laugh at how unnatural it was). I tell you what, the whole Tiffany Stratton cash-in teasing is so overdone by now, but it would've been so refreshing and surprising she succesfully cashed-in here. doesn't matter on who, but no, just one more in the 134th teases they've been doing since Tiff won the briefcase. I think no women really had a great showing here. Some did better, some did worse, but in general, it's a match that didn't need to happen, a match that didn't need the stipulation and which only reason of existence is to prevent feminists on twitter from complaining for not giving a WarGames match to the women like they gave it to the men. It's not a thing of genders, in fact, the NXT women were more fit for having a WarGames than the main roster ones as they had an organic multiple women confrontation (***)"

Every year, since the inception of Wargames on the main roster, the women's match has been better than the men's and once again this was the case in 2024. The spots were better again, including IYO combining her usual two crazy ones to perform something insanely shocking in the trashcan Moonsault! There were some messy parts sure, with 'too' much happening at anyone time but that's the way these matches SHOULD look. It's war after all and there is no need for everything to look overly choreographed. Not a fan of Rhea pinning Liv for the finish though."

The story leading up to it barely made any sense to me and the in ring action was a chaotic mess, but not in the fun way that enhanced the match. Nia starting off for the heels was a very odd and confusing choice, both from a storytelling perspective and a match quality perspective. She could have easily been made the last entrant for her team as it would have made a ton of sense for her to push the other women into fighting for her and it would have alleviated a lot of problems with the flow of the match being hindered by Nia's not so great talent. She also hit some of the worst chair shots I've ever seen in my life, rivaling even Lance Storm's weak chairshots to the head in ECW (though in retrospect, he was right in the end for being super careful and weak with that.) Iyo was probably the best part of this match and even she felt pointlessly added just to get her usual Wargames spots in, which, while still cool, lack the oomph they had when she did them the first few times."

But i found something weird in this match. Did anyone else notice how the superstars were looking for the weapons and it wasn't in the right spot? Every single person looked confused which has me questioning what if this was the producer's fault. It's one thing if a couple of people messed up but everyone who was getting weapons didn't know where the steel chair was or the table or the garbage can This match seems like it was to give Rhea her babyface moment once again which i don't get. This was probably the 3rd worst wargame ever existed the only worst ones were the WCW one and the NXT 2.0 wargames. my final rating i would give this match is a 2.75/5 just because I think it was more of a producers fault than the wrestlers."
