[7.0] "Really nothing amazing at the beginning, kinda basic TV match stuff as well as brawling around the very cramped ringside area. Got exciting with some of these hard-hitting counters from Shire & Manders, as well as their power moves coming into play. The story here also appeared to be Andrew Everett kinda being the weak link of his team, with Shire & Manders going after his knee, as well as Everett messing up some moves and not realising he was the legal man on a pin attempt. Hope this isn't seeds of disconnect already, as I like this team and want to see them together."
[4.0] "Did not love this, some mediocre comedy schtick backed up by some pretty good but unspectacular wrestling. By the end I got a bit more into it, and the crowd seemed to really enjoy it, but it did not all land for me. Manders was the standout for me with really exceptional fundamentals and some good tag team work, but Everett and Westbrook lacked any urgency or desperation to win, which took me out of it a bit. The ending stretch felt a bit sloppy with Westbrook getting the win after a Shooting Star Press onto Shire. This was fine but totally skippable, not really worth a watch in my eyes."
[8.0] "Manders/Shire did a very good job controlling the pace and beating their opponents down for the longest time, and Everett/Westbrook were just excellent scrappy underdog babyfaces who treated every chance to make a comeback like it could be their last. Crowd was into both teams, which made it feel like a match with stakes and consequences. I'm sure all four wrestlers would leave a strong impression on first-time viewers. ***1/2+"
[7.0] "(Grade:C+): A very good opener, first time seeing Shire & Mander wrestle and they looked and walked like old-fashion brawlers and that what they did to a tee. Westbrook & Everett were over with the crowd and they were definitely the high-flyers in the battle against the brawlers."
[7.0] "Very fun opener. Both teams have a great chemistry and such different styles. Manders and Shire are my discovery of the year. What a way to start a show! *** 1/2"
