[8.0] "That's the first SANADA's match I'm watching since he joined the War Dogs, and althought I still not convinced about this, he and Gabe showed some chemistry there, which is good! Takagi and Tsuji were my favorites and the ones I've been hoping to win the whole thing (spoiler alert: they didn't). (****)."

At least Kidd's sweary outbursts raised a giggle. I'm still not a fan of our Gabe's no sell / oversell routine and I'm not mad about those convoluted take-a-shot / give-a-shot exchanges which formed the backbone of this one ***1/4"

[7.0] "This match had plenty of awesome spots and sequences, but it kind of backfired because a good amount of spots and counters (including the finish) had the kind of sloppiness that hurts the momentum in the moment and drags the match down overall. I think if everything was executed as well as it was intended, this would easily be the match of the tournament so far, unfortunately it wasn't the case here."

[9.0] "Great match and my favorite thus far in the tournament. Gabe and Yota are stars and I love the idea of those two having a rivalry built on mutual respect where its more subtle compared to Yotas rivalry with Yuya Uemura. Shingo did great Shingo things like he always does and SANADA was good but him simply replacing Jake Lee just feels so unnecessary. Really wish we got that Taichi/SANADA WTL run this year while KENTA replaced Lee as Gabes partner but thats not in the cards here. I do like how Kidd and SANADA arent exactly clicking or liking each other compared to how Lee and Gabe got along. Blast of the Dragon get another 2 points and its unlikely they get to the finals but I wouldnt be mad if they did."

His confrontation with Shingo and Tsuji was great, and see him being over Tsuji in a forearm exchange was unexpected but insanely great. I'm fine with the finish, and you can see tensions between Gabe and SANADA and I hope it's will bring somewhere."

[8.0] "Holy shit this match was way better then I had anticipated. Kidd is an incredible wrestler, Shingo and Tsuji were great as always and SANADA did alright. He still doesn't seem like a good fit for War Dogs, but I'll go with it for now. Tsuji/Shingo and Kidd all delivered great sequences and sent me for a thrill ride. Did not expect the match to end as quickly as it did, but I still loved it. Definitely match of the tournament thus far."
