Big Boom AJ's performance on Revolution was sweet, but to me it was further proof that Full Gear would be near impossible to replicate. Unironically what wrestling is all about, a lovable babyface fighting a dastardly heel. This had a lot of intangible greatness in it even though the in-ring action obviously wasn't the best as the crowd just wanted to see AJ win. QT Marshall was just great in this one as well, constantly working the crowd and mocking the babyface and bumping his ass off for every single one of AJ's moves. The Big Justice spear is unironically one of the loudest pops I've ever heard in my life and the crowd really pushed this one to be more than it should have. Shoutout to the Rizzler for being a true pro and doing the rizz face every time the camera panned to him. Very fun experience. [7, 0/10] |

However, much like his post-match interview, said that pro-wrestling is engrained in his blood, and it showed. He worked really well with his strikes and sold pretty well for QT. Both worked the crowd with the Costco-Dance at the start and the real grasp started. AJ's strength was also really underrated here and QT sold the hell out of his powerslam and clothesline to the outside. A comeback from AJ to a spinebuster led to him going up to the top-rope and doing a jumping clothesline, leading to himbreaking/worsening his foot. He did a running powerslam and QT kicked out at 2. QT hit the Diamond Cutter and AJ kicked out at 2.5. The continuous shots of the Rizzler was absolutely hilarious. A distraction from Paul Wight led to AJ countering QT to hit a SUPERPLEX! The crowd was eating up the BOOM chants the whole match. QT's friend distracted AJ long enough for a big boot. Then Big Justice hit the most hilarious spear and the crowd popped so hard. AJ hit the PowerBOOM for the win. This was a really really fun match due to the antics and served its purpose as a comedic match that actually had decent wrestling. Now let us actually rate AJ as a wrestler since we've seen him! |

I have to give QT his props for taking on the match and turning this into a barn burner classic by selling the powerboom perfectly and making Big Justice look like a star. Cant forget the Rizzler too watching him climb those ropes was a close 2nd in chills to Big Justices spear. I cant wait for Big Boom! AJ to recover and get back to action with AEW. |
