808.09.2024nothingleftinside8.0Not quite as good as their Wrestlerama encounter, but this is about as fast paced and intense. Several strong kicks in this one and a moonsault. Oh and two 450s. There's a fun spot where Walter stomps JD with the irish flag, and a dramatic portion where Walter tries to get himself disqualified and walk out. Red hot crowd for this one.

2530.09.2022Mizzle Assault Ant8.0Two complaints to start, first I find it weird to see a match where we need to root for Devlin, both because I find him generally lacking charisma and also because we now know of his domestic abuse allegations. Second, I found it hard to believe WALTER would try to walk from a fight, and that if blocked he wouldn't simply carve his way through to escape. Putting that aside I have to give credit to this match for being so heated, to Devlin for showing actual urgency for once and to WALTER for being as incredible as ever, he definitely propelled the match both with tremendous offense and great heel tactics. The stomping on the flag, hoo boy!

3316.03.2022Prince Osborne9.0Like their WrestleRama match, this was a bit of a downgrade in the standpoint of in-ring action. But the storytelling and the drama was exceptional. The crowd in OTT is something that I miss recently as they're extremely vocal being such a short but packed capacity. The emotions were on a high and the spots that laid to excel both characters were great especially the Irish flag spot from WALTER and the final stretch being advantageous for Devlin. The winning moment was bittersweet and probably set the foundation for one of the finest wrestling matches I've ever seen in Devlin vs. Starr. 4.5 out of 5 stars!

3724.11.2021TigerDiver10.0About every bit as glorious as their WrestleRama five-star hit. In fact, I think I liked this even more than their 2018 clash. Just David v. Goliath done to perfection here. Jordan Devlin is the ultimate underdog, while WALTER is the mega heel you love to hate. I found myself rooting for Devlin more and more like a maniac as the match went on. Every kick-out was like a near heart attack for the Dublin crowd, and the pop when Jordan finally won was surreal. One of the most rewarding, satisfying, greatest babyface triumphs in history. This was everything a professional wrestling match should be. Nuff said. [*****]

4103.07.2021CFOS10.0OTT Scrappermania 5 What a match that was ! The storyline was so fucking good and man what an atmosphere, in the National Stadium of Dublin. The place was in fire. And at the end the feel good moment for the Irish and for the Irish Ace. And imo their first match was the best CFØS Ratings : ****3/4

5529.09.2019arrancar6.0Ughhh what a step down. Their first match was great, though still quite overrated, but this match was merely alright, and it's unsurprisingly also been overrated. The first 1/4th was really good. Devlin immediately went after Walter, but Walter established control and began targeting Devlin's tapped up hand. This was a fresh take on the usual Walter formula, since it's previously always been his own hand which is worked over. Devlin's hand selling was really good, and his general selling was quite sympathetic too. I really liked how Walter held himself like a total destroyer during this period, with great power moves, strikes, and holds that battered Devlin down. Devlin then introduced a nice change of direction as he started wearing Walter down with a series of chokes, but then the match totally lost its charm by devolving into a series of big individual spots one after the other without any compelling filler work to add depth. All these spots were still well executed, but the pacing was too slow, and this simple big-move-vs-big-move formula was annoyingly basic. Stupidly, Devlin's hand had also totally recovered by this point, and for yet another stupid reason they suddenly decided that they WOULD do the incredibly overdone story of Walter's hand being worked over (not that he would sell it at all by the end, matching Devlin in that regard). Then, worst of all, we had this cheesy, cringeworthy story of Walter -- who everyone tells me is this dominant, intimidating monster -- running away from the match, but being prevented from escaping by... a series of people half his size who he easily could have destroyed. This totally pulled me out of the match, and I couldn't at all care for Devlin's quick finishing stretch and eventual victory, especially with the story being that he basically won with 'the power of friendship'. The crowd loved this because Devlin finally won, but I thought he won in very unspectacular fashion. ***

7603.04.2019Willie Jones8.0I love OTT. The Main events of this promotion are everything i want pro wrestling to be. The crowd does the right thing. They have been trained to act the right way, or they just have bought into everything this promotion has sold them. Either way, it makes for the best viewing experience for the person watching at home. A clear monster evil villain against a beloved hero. This was an amazing atmosphere. They couldn't have had anything less than a great match, it would have been impossible in this environment. This was so great. How can anyone watch this and think it is anything less that great. I guarantee you that this is worth your time. ****1/4.

7929.03.2019NastyYaffa8.0Their first singles meeting was one of the very best matches of 2018, and they built the story absolutely fantastically, so the expectations for this one were VERY high, and because of that, it ended up being a little bit disappointing, but very, very good at the same time. Liked the start with them teasing a quick Devlin win right away, only for WALTER to survive & then start unleashing on him. The handwork was awesome - it's a shame it didn't become a more focal part of the match, as it was kind of forgotten after a while. The Irish flag deal was great as well; the image of WALTER wrapping Devlin into it, and then stomping him & the flag was fantastic. The WALTER DQ & count-out walkout tease was done really well too, and Devlin's one last adrenaline comeback after that to finish the match off was superb. So yeah, there was lots to love here, but it just didn't have the magic, the shock, the danger & the pure emotion/feel of their 1st encounter. ***1/2

8127.03.20197OEA78.08. 35/10 : This match is hard to rate, for me at least, cause I am slightly conflicted. What there is no conflict about is that this was a great match, that is a foregone conclusion, but I am conflicted about the way it was done and how much better it could have been. For instance, I find myself in the group who thinks their previous one was overall better. While this match delivered in droves when it came to emotions and stakes, it lacked compared to the first when it came to in-ring quality. I found it to be pretty basic in that department tbh, I don't know if it's just the nostalgia but I feel like the previous one had crazier spots and, quite simply, better wrestling move-for-move, the story and the stakes of this one, however, more than compensated to be fair. My biggest problem might be commentary, they took me out of it by how much they were trying to get me into it, the story is clear, we all love to believe in it, but the way there is no need to jam kayfabe that forcibly to an audience that knows how to suspend their disbelief. The way they were trying to convince us that they believed the match was over in the first 5 minutes, or even the first 10, like come on we all know this is gonna last more than 10 and commentary knowing that in kayfabe would still make perfect sense. There is no reason to pretend that hard and that badly too, it really unsuspended my disbelief. Or how they kept pointing out the "plot" points in the match that were gonna have an effect later, like the hand, the "broken hand", like common you overdid it, you took me out too many times. But yeah enough of the negative, let's talk about the biggest positive, the crowd, THAT CROWD. Damn do they make it much better, oh they got me into it, I enjoyed the atmosphere they brought to this match and they were as good of a part as any in making this such a great bout and an epic conclusion to a very well-done story. Well done to everyone involved, happy for Devlin and awesom

8923.03.2019LexiconExpressicon10.0This match was just the dog's bollocks, hands down. I unfortunately wasn't there for it, but pretty much everything in this match worked; Jordan trying to immediately win the match only to have him beaten down relentlessly, each man's working of the hand (Jordan so WALTER couldn't use his chops, and WALTER so Jordan couldn't use the right hand to knock him out), and, most importantly (in my opinion), the crowd, the Dublin crowd view Devlin like he's the second coming of Jesus (which I experienced when I saw Devlin lose the title live). Even the commentary, which in WWE is unbearable for the most part, was so passionate, Aonghus and TK both being fully behind Devlin made it seem like everyone in the country was rooting for Jordan. Overall, the only complaint I have is WALTER trying to get disqualified / run away near the end, it kind of took the focus away from the match with all the different roster members coming out, even though it did lead to shades of SummerSlam 1993 with Jordan being raised up and surrounded by his fellow faces.

9222.03.2019pwalsh6810.0This match was a treat to watch live. True masters if their craft put on great match as the pay off to OTT's biggest story to date.
9321.03.2019Dragon Fighter10.0From the pure in-ring work, I prefer their first match more, but this match has even better atmosphere so both are the same to me. WALTER was absolutely awesome as always when he did incredible job playing heel in this match. Love he stomped the irish flag and got incredible heat from the pro Delvin crowd. Delvin of course was a great babyface, he showed a lot of aggressiveness and desire to win the title back. Some solid arm work from both as well as solid selling there. The atmosphere was out of the world here imo. The story was awesome. WALTER was frustrated as he left the ring only prevented by the OTT roster. Delvin finally beating WALTER was a journey that was well-told in the last roughly 7 months. Best story in wrestling maybe imo. And don't forget Starr who never beat WALTER. He can be jealous with this win from Delvin so we can get part II from both. Overall, incredible match as they lived up to the hype. My new MOTY as first 4. 75 star match for me.

9820.03.2019Makai Club 9.0Do I consider this match to be better than their previous match? Nah, I don't think it's better. I think the match was really good but lacked some of the drama and big fight atmosphere that the other match had. But that's not to take anything away from the match. I think the match is quite good. Loved the quick start with Devlin going right for WALTER with his punches, him being a bit overzealous with his offence and WALTER taking advantage, gaining control and working on the hand of Devlin. The selling of the hand wasn't great throughout the match. It wasn't bad but could have been much better. Loved Walter beating down Devlin and getting all the heat as it also meant the crowd got more behind Devlin as a result, if that was possible, allowing for a bigget reaction when he made his comebacks. And Devlin made some damn good ones too. The spot where he was relentlessly locking on the rare naked choke was fantastic. The finishing stretch was a bit of a disappointment which is the only major flaw I would have with the match. Really dislike the heel champion walking out of the ring spot as it's usually done in a clunky and awkward way; as it was done in this match. Sure it allowed Devlin to get his second wind for the finish but I feel that it could've been done much better. Nevertheless, this was great. ****1/4
9920.03.2019seriousbusiness9.0Like their first match, this didn't feel like a MOTYC to me, but still a really great match. This was NXT "sports entertainment" style storytelling with a complete over-dramatic emphasis on Devlin "knocking out" WALTER which was baffling to me to think that's even close to realistic. Fortunately, the actual structure of the match was well laid out as Devlin didn't give WALTER an inch to dominate him. Excellent payoff to a storyline that I thought still had more time to tell, ****1/2.
10020.03.2019ohnoes9.0Both wrestlers had a lot to live up to with their previous match from last year, and I'd say they almost matched the hype by having a match that was almost as good. My only real issue was the awkward structure and occasionally odd selling - sometimes it was great, sometimes it was forgotten about (Devlin's and WALTER's hand specifically). The crowd added a lot of excitement to the match.
