Antonio Inoki, Kantaro Hoshino & Riki Choshu vs. Bob Orton, Dick Murdoch & Scott Hall

[7.0] "A fun main event, fun to see young Scott Hall and the final two between Murdoch and Inoki was exciting stuff"

[10.0] "I am legit feeling a 10 for this one. Every wrestler played their part well, great drama with the elimination teases, and a deliciously heelish ending to top it all off. Underrated banger."

[6.0] "A fascinating match and point in time for numerous reasons. Scott Hall appears here as basically a gaijin young lion, as even though he's a 6 year pro at this point he bears no resemblance to even The Diamond Studd we would see a few years later in WCW. He works as simple and basic as possible, which provides some novelty as you often don't see him utilize his size later on. Bob Orton Jr and Dick Murdoch are towards the tail end of their careers here, and teaming with Hall hilariously, but both as mean and nasty as ever and the match gets a nice rugged outline when they start to team up when Hall is eliminated. Choshu really shines when he runs the ropes, but it's brief, and Inoki is Inoki. Not a ton to this match, but it's well worked and not something you'd ever expect to see, so worth watching from that standpoint. ***1/4"

[6.0] "This is a wild collection of talent and the runtime spotlights that some too, resulting in a good elimination 6-man. It's mostly meat and potatoes action, but Inoki and Murdoch are a worthy final matchup, with Orton chipping in neatly beforehand. The gaijins' treatment of Hoshino provides a neat wrinkle too, clobbering him at every turn. ***"
