[7.0] "This match captures Abdullah the Butcher at a midpoint between his earlier chaos and later decline--closer to peak form, minus his trademark fork. Instead, it's all punches, blood, and the sly ringcraft that makes him so fascinating. Rather than relying on brute force, Abby uses his bulk to disguise his cheap shots, keeping strikes tight and targeted, especially at Colon's bleeding forehead and throat. Colon carries much of the match's energy, compensating for Abby's limited mobility with strong offense and charisma. His attack on Abby's ear, sharp punches, and expressive selling all enhance the brawl's intensity. While the bout itself is a solid but straightforward slugfest; bloody, gritty, but never transcendent, and the presentation elevates it. The English commentary's framing of it as "controversial recovered footage" is both absurd and entertaining, especially their outrage at the ref's leniency. Add in the chaotic crowd and visible police presence, and the whole thing becomes a strangely captivating spectacle. ***1/4"
[5.0] "A very dry brawl, mostly some good punches from Colon and Abdullah was the one doing the most varried offense of strikes. I thought it was funny when Colon was doing the Tanahashi corner climb spot, only to drop down and stomp on Abdullah's head. The finish wasn't executed well, I think Colon should've just played dead to really sell it. But hey an Abdullah match that ends decisively, that's rare. Two and a Half Stars out of Five"
[6.0] "A finish that I don't think was executed well, and I wasn't really into Colon's performance, but it's a bloody Abdullah brawl with a crowd that's into it, so it's a fun time."
[8.0] "Colon works the ear of Abdullah. Slow start until Abdullah does sudden strikes. This is a great bloody brawl. Abdullah kills Colon hitting his finisher a few times until the referee stops the match. Abdullah got the belt. Chaos outside the ring, Hugo says they are wrestlers fighting. One of the local wrestler tried to stop Abdullah but get a black eye ! This is wild ! I have to say the commentary was hilarious during the whole match."
