He has nothing left and hasn't been useful on a roster since 2013 and even then he was only good for about 8 months. On top of that you have Ridge Holland who is also someone who shouldn't be occupying a roster spot. That leaves the two actual talented guys in Trick Williams and Ethan Page to their best to make this watchable. They didn't but it's hardly their fault."
[3.0] "Well, this was just a massive disappointing shit show of a match. I really was just bored as hell during this thing. Nothing great here, literally nothing."
[4.0] "Was not excited for this match going into it, and this ended up doing nothing to prove my doubts wrong. It didn't help that the finish was just so sudden. It felt like one second, we were in the middle of a match that was getting going and, then, the next second, it was already over."
[5.0] "Ridge Holland and Bubba Ray Dudley in one ring! You are bound to have an absolutely forgettable and unpleasing matchup! This is what they ended an NXT PPV for people and this was just fine. Very forgettable and underwhelming but fine. Nothing much to note here. [**3/4]"
[4.0] "** (04/10) There are some clear problems from the result of this one: Trick looked weak getting pinned by a roll-up, Bubba tumbled and bumbled all over the ring, it was short, the finish fell flat, and definitely missed the mark from where they were aiming! But for nostalgia factor, it touched home for a ton of fans. And you can tell the fans at the 2300 were having a Dudley time!"
[4.0] "This isn't much, but it's pretty aware of its limitations. They have a simple enough house show match with an admittedly flat finish, but the work doesn't do much to bring that outline to life. It's mostly fine, which is about as much as you could hope for. *3/4"
[8.0] "I am giving this match an 8/10, which is way too high but i dont care I had so much fun watching this match. Wrestling wise it wasnt an 8 but I had a blast watching this life and entertained which is why im rating it 8/10"
[1.0] "NXT's main event male division is in shambles right now. Ethan got an insane push, which felt like a way to diss his previous company, but hasn't got to prove his worth yet and this storyline with Trick is going nowhere.Speaking of Trick, he just doesn't have it, he has missed so many chances of putting himself over even after Ilja and Carmelo helped him; he just has one boring match after the other. Ridge should never have turned heel, he was at least watchable as a member of Chase U with their fight from behind gimmick and natural heat. Bubba Ray... well, he was the worst member of the roster in TNA and would be my last pick for showing up on NXT. The match felt heatless and too long for what it was, just a boring slog."
[4.0] "very let down by this match. It was insanely short which honestly is for the best and just legit no action happens in this match. Feel like most of the focus was on bubba ray dudley when it shouldnt have been. Add the fact that ridge holland for the pin which means hell definitely be getting a nxt title match very soon. And then the post match segment took like 10 minutes of boredom"
[5.0] "Any moment that heavily featured Dudley was rough. Overall, though, it wasn't terrible and Ridge being next in line for a title shot makes sense."
[5.0] "I didn't really get into this match, it's a bit too wild. But the finish that comes out of nowhere with Ridge Holland rolling up NXT Champion Trick Williams is a good idea. (2*1/2)"
[3.0] "[1.5*] Bubba....hang it up please. He's way past his prime (shown by 2 of the worst matches of the year) and has served to be a nostalgia pop. Bringing back D'Von was pretty nice though. Trick Williams' in-ring work really depends on his dance partner. He's had really poor showings this year and this match was no exception either. Ethan Page was by far the best worker trying to salvage what he could. And Ridge Holland.....man his character work has been fascinating to watch, but man he cannot work a match AT ALL. At least he doesn't end careers anymore."
[3.0] "I'm glad this wasn't the main event because this match was probably the worst match of the night for a lot of reasons and the main reason is Ridge Holland. They're pushing Ridge Holland super hard as he pinned Trick Williams to get his team the victory but afterwards Trick Williams got the last laugh as him & Bubba Ray Dudley fend them off and D-Von Dudley came out to make an appearance. But this match wasn't good."
[6.0] "Les dignes héritiers de RVD. J'ai trouvé sa présence trčs juste. Le style des gamins est clairement inspiré de RVD. J'aurais aimé un froc slash de Rob, mais on ne peut pas tout avoir."
[3.0] "This went 10 minutes and felt like it never even got out of first gear. Wasnt expecting much out of it given that bubba is old and Ethan page and ridge holland arent any good but damn this sucked lol. 1.5/5"
[4.0] "Entire match and segment with D-Von was mainly the nostalgia catcher of course, Bubba at this stage didn't have chemistry with Ethan and Ridge. Ending was pretty lame."
[5.0] "Good effort by the three guys who weren't Bubba Ray Dudley. Ridge Holland has likely got himself a title shot by pinning Trick Williams here. It was a fine match when Williams was tagged in."
[4.0] "This match did not live up to the expectations I thought it would. Not much happened and the roll up finish. I was for sure we were gonna get something a little more extreme."
[5.0] "I went into this match with decent expectations. I think making this match a hardcore match of some variety would have really helped it, but for what it was it felt very short and flat. Ridge Holland pinning Trick is a good way to continue their new feud, but this whole match really openly happened for the nostalgia pop afterwards. Also, I am not somebody who hates on Bubba Ray or has go away heat with him. I think he is still as talented as ever, which is sort of a back handed compliment. And I think Trick is super over and hot in NXT, but his in-ring work is still just fine to me. He has really thrived with the WWE style of wrestling, but I would love for him to really build up his moveset and work on the selling aspect."
