Absolute Andy vs. David Starr

[5.0] "I really didn't like this one, it seems like I'm the only one, but even if the beginning was cool, they did so much nearfalls that it became meaningless and giving the win to the heel after this type of building was just unecessary ... Really, more the match lasted, less interesting it was. **1/4"

[10.0] "The way they built this finals match for the 16 Carat was unbelievably great; you got the favorite, the ultimate babyface in David Starr looking to achieve his dream, and then on the other corner you got Absolute Andy, the man who cemented himself as the biggest cunt in wXw in his journey to the tourney finals. Andy delivers a hellacious beatdown throughout & Starr works that babyface magic of his, refusing to die easily. It's great as a standalone match, but it's a goddamn classic when seen in context of what was the journey of both guys in 16 Carat Gold 2018. ****1/2"

[9.0] "Great match to finish off the tournament, not quite as good as their recent London match but it was a banger way to wrap up a great 16 Carat."

[8.0] "Surprisingly there wasn't a lot of highlights in this particular 16 Carat tournament (aside from the world championship match), but if there was one tournament match that really stood out, it was the really great finals match-up. Starr was still trying to prove he was a main star in wXw and Andy was on a tear as one of the top heels of the promotion. It was a great clash that saw Starr take Andy to the limit before eventually falling to a massive F5. I think their title match a year later would be better, but this was still a pretty great finals match, ****1/4."
