[7.0] "Maybe Bronson losing wasn't the best desicion but this was still very well booked. It started off incredibly hot and the finish, and aftermath made Bronson look like an absolute monster which is great."
[8.0] "You can always count on Seth to get the best out of his opponent. One of the best to ever do it. Bronson Reed looked like such a bad ass in defeat. It took 4 stomps and a super stomp to put him away. The visual of him standing tall with blood dripping off his face was so beast. This is far from over! The rematch has a chance to be even better. Hell yeah. ***3/4"
[6.0] "Good match but I kind of expected more and longer between these two hardhitters. It started off with a good pace but never really reached the second gear, it was still good though."
[7.0] "Things continue to go upwards in quality with this match. Rollins may have got the win, but Reed was presented awesomely here, even after he lost. Him getting up right after getting pinned was a nice way to protect him a bit and show that Rollins barely won the match."
[5.0] "**.75 Thought they could have done much better than what they ended up doing here, which I was proven correct by their rematch on Raw a few weeks after this. Also think Bronson should have gotten the win here on the bigger ple stage than on Raw a few weeks later but whatever. Wasnt bad was just slightly disappointed with this"
[6.0] "Quite disappointed with this match. I liked the storytelling of this better than what they were portraying in segments. I found the segments of Rollins treating this as a test for himself being nonsensical, as the whole reason of this feud was to get plain revenge on a giant that tried to end his career just to make a name for himself. That's the only thing they should've told in the segments, and leave that test part for the match itself, which was really good. Bronson kicking out of an early Curbstomp, demolishing Seth how he wanted, he was clearly the superior force and Rollins went to hell and back to earn a survival victory due to being more clever than superior. Then, what's my problem with the match? Plain and simple, in-ring work was booooooooooooooring AF. It kinda looks like WWE and its deep core fanbase have an aversion towards great in-ring exhibitions. Both Rollins and Reed can go in the ring, why just holding them to do basic and slow stuff? I think the same story could've been told with a more dynamic performance. I had to rewind the match a little as I was so bored I picked my phone to check random stuff for a bit before returning to the match, that's how much I got bored. Also, I think Bronson should've won this. Yes, the final shot with him getting up so quickly after hitting the steps and the Super Curbstomp with Rollins not believing his eyes and going mad was a cool visual, but I think Bronson winning this would've benefit him even more than the victory does for Seth. Seth losing this wouldn't have affected his status at all, while Bronson beating a future HOF'er with such authority would've get him closer to be, at leat, a solid upper-carder for years to come. Great story, boring performance, bad winner (***)"
[8.0] "This match was chaotic and fun, but sort of made me wish that it was a no dq match of some kind. Sure they could be building to that, but this felt a little bit bland. Bronson dominated a bit and looked incredible in defeat, taking 4 Curb Stomps which includes one on the steel steps and one off the top rope. Seth even looking scared after the match because Bronson got back up was a super nice touch. This was an amazing performance and a great match."
[7.0] "[3.5*] Great work from Bronson, he dominated Rollins like the big guys that hogan fought in the 80s and early 90s, but with a modern style into it, made him look like a monster even with 1, 83. The thing that i didn't like is seth winning with very little offense, i know that a finisher is supposed to end a match but Bronson is very credible to kickout from that, mainly after a build up like the one that he had (beating the monster among men Braun Strowman)"
[8.0] "Started great, ended excellently, thought the middle let it down, but the story was strong enough all the way through to make this a really great match. The story here of Bronson taking as much punishment as possible but still getting up for more punishment, and only really being undone by his own rage is a clever one and showed strong psychology from Seth. Adored the finish especially."
[8.0] "This was a very good match in my opinion, Seth got his returning win while making Bronson look like an absolute unit. Bronson's ear bleeding while not selling stomps worked really well and made him look tough as nails. Seth got the much deserved win and excited to see this feud continue. Also Bronson's MF DOOM inspired gear was super cool."
[7.0] "[3.25*] This was a very damn good match in terms of workrate. The action was great, the chemistry was on point and the moves were very smooth. However, it looked more like an awesome exhibition match between two random great wrestlers than a bloody feud that has been going on for months. It lacked brutality and stiffness. Seths strikes are just so weak and the only thing that made this match a little bit heated was the fact that Bronson bled when the match was over."
[8.0] "I loved this match. Bronson came off looking great, but I understand why Seth went over. They arguably did as much for Bronson after the match as they did during it, with him looking like a beast standing there after 3 stomps with blood pouring down his face, regardless of whether he took the pin or not. I doubt they're done. I am a certified Bronson Reed fan so I might be slightly biased."
[8.0] "This match was an absolute blast, and managed to build Bronson as a main event star while keeping Seth looking strong and capable as a recent world champion. Seth and Bronson should absolutely be in a world title picture together at some point alongside the likes of Gunther, Punk, Drew, and Priest. I came into the match saying that if Bronson lost I would consider his build a waste, but it requiring a curb stomp on the table, followed by another curb stomp, followed by a Super Curb Stomp, ALL coming after a decent length match, kept me feeling like they lost none of the monster aura that they had given Bronson. Not to mention him getting up right after the match and staring Seth down with blood dripping down his head, all did more to actually add to him as a character."
[8.0] "Bronson should've took the win here so it would help him with his rise on becoming more of a top star, but this was still such a good match between him and Rollins with hard hitting and physical action and post match made their rematch promising."
[6.0] "A decent match for their feud, I was hoping to see more but if they continue to build on this feud at all which I think they should for Reed's sake then I think there is much better on the way potentially. 6/10"
[4.0] "My rating for this match is 4/10, i was really disappointed by this match I had high hopes and i feel let down. This should have been a Bronson Reed win and seeing him lose really hurt. Apart from that the match its self was a bit of a let down for me, it didn't match the intensity of the rivalry. It should have been a last man standing match"
[4.0] "It was a rough match, but it was not what I expected, and during the match we see that the wrestlers wanted to go for the finisher, and although this is the method that WWE has been using for years, it is very ridiculous."
[6.0] "i dont care what anyone says they can not convince me that rollins winning this is a good call. Bronson shouldve won this absolutely. Love the brawl before the match and overall just a good match only thing that sucked was rollins winning the match. 3.50 stars"
[7.0] "I'm not at all hyped about Bronson, his in-ring is really good yes but to make him a potential champion... No. So this storyline didn't necessarily interest me. But for now the match pleasantly surprised me. The exchanges are very fluid and impactful. Rollins' victory doesn't surprise me because he has a ready-made program waiting for him. Then being a big fan of Seth I'm happy that he won I admit. Reed bleeding after the match makes him less debilitated"
[6.0] "Decent match, but not the home run that Reed probably wanted. On the bright side, it's certainly not a career-ending miss for the big man either, turning in a pretty good performance and more than anything, suffering some from a slightly pedestrian outline. His heat is too long, but it's executed neatly enough, with Rollins' selling and/or legitimate physical agony providing a hook. It's nothing particularly notable but as the feud's first match, this works. **3/4"
[2.0] "This match was incredibly boring. Bronson Reed somehow ended up having a bad match with Seth Rollins. There should've been no reason for him being on the card. The match was extremely slow, and was an absolute snorefest. The only good part of the match was when Seth Rollins stomped Bronson Reed onto the steps. Seth Rollins winning was the correct decision, and hopefully I don't have to watch Bronson Reed again. Easily the worst match of Crown Jewel. This gets a 2 out of 10. IT was absolutely horrible."
[6.0] "Decent match, not too bad.Thought they should've put Bronson over but whatever.I didn't mind this match.Decent but it felt wrong just wrong putting Seth over but with HHH in creative I guess I'll trust the process."
[7.0] "Finally some proper action here, I was expecting more, but this was great nonetheless, Bronson is a guy that passes a lot of credibility currently, and I can see why the result pissed some people off, but Rollins is a main eventer and will do important things in the future, so I didn't had a problem with that. The match probably could've been more violent, with more nasty strikes, but the structure was fine, I loved the little brawl before it actually starts, and when it started they went for the finishers. Rollins having to win with a Super Curb Stomp was dope - {***1/4}"
[6.0] "An entertaining car crash that continued the feud. I couldnt shake the feeling off that they REALLY wanted us to see Bronson as unstoppable and over did it rather than just making him feel unstoppable but admittedly Im being overly negative. The match was good, everything worked and Seth continued being great and undervalued. Good work."
[6.0] "A frenzied and reasonably brutal match from Bronson Reed and Seth Rollins, even before the bell. They start off with a brawl, which makes sense considering they havent been able to keep their hands apart the last few weeks, but once the match officially starts, it was all Bronson for the most of the contest, with Reed hitting an immediate Tsunami. Rather than go for the pin, he tried again though and that was Reeds downfall, as Rollins gets an early Curb Stomp that finishes the first portion of the match with a wild start. After the match slowed down a bit, Rollins hits this crazy DDT counter and a frog splash, but Reed fires back with this nice looking Death Valley Driver. They brawl again to the outside where Rollins connects with another Curb Stomp on the steps and Reed gets legit busted open. Seth ends the match with a Curb Stomp off the top rope for three, but when Bronson stood up almost right after the pin, face bloodied, Reed looked like the real winner. I wished he couldve gotten the pin on Rollins, but honestly the closing visual almost made up for it. Fun, quick match that played to both mens strength and allowed for Reed to get a major spotlight on a PLE against one of the top guys in the company. (***1/4)"
[7.0] "Great effort from Reed. He wasn't going to win this one but he showed out. Seth really put Bronson over here I feel but I like Bronson and his style a lot. Quality in ring: 3/4. Stakes: 1.25/2. Justification 0.5/1. Suspense: 1/1. Place on the card: 1/1. Bonus/Malus: None. Total: 7/10."
[6.0] "A good clash to follow up this long rivalry. I didn't see Reed winning but he showed some resilience, allowing the defeat not to be too discrediting. Seth made a decent match for this mini-return, but I'm not too excited at the idea of seeing these two face each other again in the near future. Although perhaps a stipulation might make it more appealing. Quality in ring: 2/4. Stakes: 0.75/2. Justification: 1/1. Suspense: 0.25/1. Place on the card: 1/1. Bonus/Malus: None. Total: 6/10. Match seen on WWE Network."
[6.0] "Finally a good match on this show, even though it was unspectacular from bell-to-bell. It felt like they were going for a more intense atmosphere here than the actual result as Rollins barely finds an opening to win the match. I have no issue with Rollins winning, he's the bigger star and Reed can work his way up without beating one of the top guys like this. ***"
[5.0] "This one drove me insane because the structure for the majority of it was what it should have been (Reed being purposefully brutal and keeping Rollins down except for brief comebacks) but it opened with two finishers which didn't feel fitting for the match which followed it, and it ended so badly. Understand you want Rollins to win as he's a bigger star but the way that it was done undermined what followed. Reed is completely in control and just had an excellent moment where he seemed to cement his dominance, with the Tsunami and subsequent pinfall feeling like a no brainer. Then he goes outside, picks up some steel steps (? ) and lets Rollins target his knee, causing him to fall over, legit bust himself open, and take two stomps for the loss. He looks like an absolute chump for doing so, and Rollins looks less like a survivor and more like someone who took advantage of significant stupidity. It's like in chess when someone gives up their queen accidentally, whoever takes it is usually not a tactical master, but just able to respond to the error with quick haste. Anyway, the big issue is that Reed basically no-sells it after losing, which makes him look even more stupid, because he doesn't look angry or incredulous at the loss which is fuelling his decision to stand up and stare down, but like it didn't impact him at all. So he just didn't kick out and then was fine. If you wanted to cement Reed as a monster, have him either beat Rollins, or lose by the skin of his teeth due to Rollins' strength and babyface determination. Don't really blame either man for this (only Reed for how he sells the post match but that probably wasn't his call either) but the booking did them no favours. It's a shame because I actually thought the action was some of the best work from both men this year until it wasn't."
[8.0] "This was a fine match but I thought Seth Rollins winning was the wrong call. But I'm not too upset because they made it super hard for Seth Rollins to beat Bronson Reed as it took him three stomps to end it even after that Bronson Reed after the match with blood on his face was still standing and breathing with a awesome visual to close out the match. I don't see this feud ending I think there going to be three matches and I really hope Bronson Reed wins this feud as he needs it more to really elevate and establish himself as a huge major threat in WWE."
[6.0] "Decent match with some well executed action. However, for all the talk of their size difference, Seth was far too resilient here. He kicked out too many times from big power moves from Reed, which took me out of the match. The wrong man won here too. I don't see how this win benefitted Seth as he's already a made man, while this loss kills the monster aura being built around Reed. There are ways that Seth could win without burying Reed as a monster, but this wasn't it. Fun watch, but nonsensical."
[7.0] "[***1/2] Wrong winner by far. But the capitalization of Bronson immediately getting up after 2 normal stomps and an avalanche super stomp like 15 seconds after he was pinned, blood downing his face was such a cool visual. The match was just a brawl, Bronson throwing Seth like a lawndart through office chairs, Seth throwing everything + the kitchen sink at Reed, and it delivered. If Reed won, it would have most likely delved more into Seth's "injury, " and there could have been a pretty good segway to get to another marquee match. This outcome may lead to Reed chasing Rollins for a win, which I'm interested in."
[6.0] "Solid match. The brawl on the outside before the bell rang was pretty good and it set the tone for what kind of fight this was. Bronson looked strong and roughed up Rollins for a lot of the match. It got a little slow at times with Rollins trying to get away and Bronson going after him. A little too much of that going on. then of course Rollins had to make a big comeback at the end to win. The super stomp for the finish looked cool, but the wrong person won. Bronson been beaten way too much. Not sure where he goes from here. Still, a nice win for Rollins to get him back into the swing of things. 6/10"
[9.0] "I'm usually surprised but for me this match was the best of the night, well told story, great spots and a very cool ending, Seth is incredible as always and pulls out a match with absolutely any opponent. Recommended viewing. I'd also like to add that I'd like to see a sequel to this story, but it's likely that Rollins will go on to free floating"
[8.0] "Man I loved this match other than Rollins going over, which after sitting on it awhile is fine but still... Anyways Reed continues to make a case for a big push and Rollins is still impressive for coming off an injury."
[5.0] "There really wasn't much to this match, it was pretty basic. We didn't see anything wildly athletic from Bronson Reed and it never seemed like Seth Rollins was in much trouble. It has a hot start which I guess is cool, and they teased some bigger spots on the ramp, but it never really went anywhere. Am I the only one that thinks the curb stomp move looks weak and fake a lot of the time?"
[9.0] "This was an excellent match, up there with the best WWE has had to offer in 2024. I think it's sorely underrated on here. Bronson Reed was absolutely brilliant. His timing is impeccable, his gas tank limitless. They worked a number of inventive big man/little man spots into this match. This reminded me of some of Shawn Michaels' better matches against bigger opponents. That said, I was a bit disappointed by the finish. Hopefully Reed will win a rematch and they'll have a blow off in the third."
[8.0] "**** (08/10) Seth Rollins is literally that guy: that guy who can pull out easy top tier matches in his sleep. I do hope this is not the last from these two together, and that Bronson Reed will get the win he needs to climb up the card. His stuff from the last couple of months have been exciting. I wont be surprised if we see him among the finalists in Royal Rumble 2025."
[6.0] "A solid David v Goliath match. It started off hot with Seth ambushing Bronson on the ramp and both men hitting the other with their finisher before Bronson takes control and dominates from there. It's really basic stuff with Bronson controlling Seth for most of the match and Seth getting a few hope spots in. Eventually Seth is able to land a curb stomp on Reed on the steps before nailing him with one off the top rope to get the win. Super run of the mill David vs Goliath stuff but for the most part this was a solid match. ***"
"Hell yea. This match had it all. Violence, dominance, resilience, and star power. While Seth came in as the main event guy, this match showcased by Bronson is one of the best bigmen in WWE. Hes better to watch than 2010s Big Show for sure. But also even in the end he looked strong. As it took multiple curb stops and a super curb stomp off the turnbuckle to beat Bronson. Once he was beat, after a few minutes he got right up and stared a whole through Seth. I cant wait to see what Bronson does next and I wouldnt mind a last man standing match between these two."
[8.0] "Bronson Reed was a star here and credit to Seth for selling so well for him. Biggest problem with this match is it feels like the wrong man won. Bronson hit so many big moves but couldnt keep Seth down and it was a good story but a win here makes Reeds career while it does nothing for Seth"
"[6.0] I expected to like this more, the initial brawl was pretty entertaining although they got a little too up and close with the camera crew. This match's purpose was mostly to showcase Reed as a believable potential main eventer and it missed the mark slightly. Seth's selling was a bit lackluster and Bronson should have gone over here but Reed getting up after The Stomp and the staredown at the end makes it feel like this is only Part 1 so I'll trust that they'll follow this up with more."
[6.0] "They started it out hot with a great brawl, but then it slowed down a little and I think it would have benefited from being a little shorter. Nevertheless it was still pretty solid, Bronson looked like a menace and Rollins' work was flawless, plus the staredown after the bout looked fantastic."
[6.0] "Alright, but I did not like the result at all. Would've been a 7, but seeing Reed loose after making him look like a menace did not sit well with me."
[7.0] "Reed is an underrated big man. Seth didn't have to do the carry job at all as Bronson did his role tremendously. Rollins' no-selling was a little apparent, but not as much as usually, so I won't complain. It needed to be a falls count anywhere or at least a no dq match. I don't understand why it was a regular match given how the story progressed. Anyway, good performance from both men. Wouldn't mind seeing a rematch down the line, but with a proper stipulation"
"I feel like most people enjoyed this match more than I did, it was still a decent match but I personally am not big on Bronson so maybe thats why. [***.5]"
