Kamille vs. Kris Statlander

[5.0] "The final few minutes of this match were pretty damn good. I actually enjoyed all of it, but the final few sequences, especially the Tombstone counter, were really impressive. Would like to see a rematch at some point. Got the job done."

[2.0] "This match was supposed to be a showcase for Kamille, from what it seems, but this was just not great. Pretty disappointing performance from Kamille, she has not been that great considering her last match with Queen Aminata, but she's been a waste of a debut/intro."

[3.0] "This match felt like it should have been a showcase for Kamille as a worker after she's been in Mone's shadow, but this just wasn't that. Not a terrible match, but disappointing enough that I'd consider it bad."

[2.0] "Really disappointing because they didn't even try to make this a meaty match at all. Kamille has drawn criticism for her match the week prior but she's had some good showings outside AEW so I don't know why they didn't use this as a coming out party for her."

[2.0] "This match was basically nothing, not good in anyway but the booking was worse than the match in my opinion. Kamille has no credibility with her gimmick as a powerhouse/heater for Mone after this, not that she can't be rehabbed but what a waste of a debut/intro for her."

[3.0] "I didn't watch live cause I was busy at the moment this match was happening. I come up later to look and damn, it's just bad, nothing else. Unnecessary for Kamille to be treated by that, don't help her persona in absolutelly nothing and the feud between Mone vs Kris didn't level up. It's a a point when nobody is really interessed in a match that in theory is fucking great"

[5.0] "I was a little underwhelmed. I feel like they should have protected this matchup and built more towards it. A short match like this without much of not happening in it doesnt really build a story and definitely damages the losers momentum. TK needs to be more considered when he puts big dominant wrestler vs big dominant wrestler matches on. I know everyone likes to say MEAT but its damaging to the loser when you do this and often its harder for the workers to put on a good match because they cant do as impressive strength spots when their opponent is their size or bigger."

[3.0] "This was a huge letdown as they didn't really mesh well or act like to hosses going at it. Just a very short nothing match that didn't need to happen when it could have been a lot of fun and maybe gained interest in Kamille but it wasn't even effective in putting over the Mone/Statlander match up."

[5.0] "Quick match that furthered the feud between Kris Statlander and Mercedes Mone bolstered ever so slightly by how big of a deal they made Statlander besting Kamille. Kamille obviously was made to look dominant, even more than her match last week against Queen Aminata, but it provided an excellent foil for Stat to overcome, making her win all the more impressive. The Statlander face turn immediately following her blood feud with Willow has its detractions for obvious reasons, but no one can deny how good of a face Statlander can be and her star shined bright here. Not the most graceful or smooth encounter by any means, but it didnt need to be as these are two powerhouses going back and forth, capped off for a satisfying win. (**1/2)"

[2.0] "This really wasn't much of a match at all and it's weird it was promoted for weeks to build anticipation then all of it is in the commercial break, and what was there wasn't any good anyway. I don't know what the point of Kamille being a bodyguard for Mone is at this point."

[2.0] "Huge whiff on the the whole lady hoss fight / meat fight you'd want. Doesn't help that this might be all she wrote on Kamille's potential as an actual threat but I guess we'll see once she splits from Mercedes. Not an interesting match any way you slice it."

[5.0] "Pretty fine. Stat looked pretty good here, but for the most part there wasn't much of anything going on and the match was too short to really become anything substantial. **1/2"

[4.0] "The match itself wasn't all that. Kamille since arriving to AEW hasn't had a single match that has caught my eye but she lost to Kris Statlander. Afterwards Mercedes Mone was irate and attacked Kris Statlander. Now in the pending future we'll see a AEW TBS Championship Match with Kris Statlander going up against Mercedes Mone."

[5.0] "Over before it really got going, it's time to get out the 'book the women's division properly' signs again. They could easily have been given a few minutes taken off the AC vs Buddy match and all of Jericho's shitty promo time and made a decent match out of this instead of having Kamille's first loss come in just six minutes. Aura gone, I guess she'll be kicking it on Rampage with Deonna soon."

[5.0] "Stat looked good but overall I couldn't get all that invested in this match. It was just fine I guess"

[6.0] "Kris Statlander proved here that she's the best of the big girls in AEW, defeating Kamille relatively quickly, and setting up her challenge to Mercedes Moné for the TBS Championship. A fine match, it just did its job and got out."

[6.0] "Taken in a vacuum it was fine, albeit a bit underwhelming. As a booking decision this is mind boggling. But we should have seen the writing on the wall the week before when it took her so long to beat Queen Aminata."

[4.0] "This match wasnt very good. It was basically used to set up a future match between Mone and Statlander. However, there was nothing special with this match and Kamilles dominance came to an end."
