[7.0] "I thought this was the 2nd best match in their trilogy. I didn't like the overbooking at the end, but if they want to protect Oba then it's understandable. It was good for a street fight and Oba still looked great here."
[7.0] "Very good match. I would call it one of Tony's best matches of his entire career. Oba Femi are big stars who attract me more and more with each of their matches."
[7.0] "I didn't think this was as good as their previous match, in which D'Angelo won the title, but it was still good. Things started off hot and ended nicely, but I felt as though the middle dragged a little bit. Particularly when Femi had the crowbar. Either way, this was good. I will say that I do wish this match had the "climb the ladder and retrieve the title" rules, as I don't know how I feel about Femi being pinned in two instances so close to each other, even if this did involve weapons."
[7.0] "Very fun and exciting match to end probably the best trilogy this year for NXT. This one was my personal favorite of the feud and I liked the tables, ladders, and scares stipulation and really felt like it added to the match. I liked the finish because they made Oba look like a beast taking the whole D'Angelo family to take down the big monster in Oba Femi. Overall a very fun match that I really enjoyed."
[7.0] "Overall, I liked the Tables, Ladders and Scares opener. Although much less than their match on the October 8th edition of NXT, where Tony unexpectedly defeated Oba Femi to become the new North American Champion. I am interested in watching Tony D develop. While many point to Braun the Breaker or Trick Williams as successful homegrown projects, Tony continues to slowly accumulate new achievements, and the fans love him. Tony already has two NXT tag team golds, a Heritage Cup, and now a North American Championship. And I have no doubt that he will conquer the main gold of the brand in the future. He is a truly successful character, whose transfer to the main roster (with the current competition for airtime) could kill his momentum. So let "Don NXT" continue his story on this brand for now. I liked how everyone played, two clean wins over Femi could have made one doubt his legitimacy. So this time, "Don" was helped by his "family", whom Oba Femi had been bullying in every possible way for the past month."
[5.0] "Very mid and strange match that soured me on this PPV from the start and the feud itself. I love both of these two so it is strange for me to have such bad memories of this. Most of all I hate the weird obsession Femi's character is written to have with the girl from the family. In kayfabe it makes no sense and cost him his championship, and his stalking of her has very uncomfortable racial illusions that cannot be ignored. Very lazy and unimaginative use of weapons within the match itself."
[8.0] "This was a fun plunder match. The spear through the ropes onto the ladder probably the spot of the night. Oba was well protected here, with it taking 4 people to beat him. Maintain my opinion that he'll be NXT Champion before 'Mania. Interested to see where Tony D goes from here - who's next?"
[7.0] "Was really enjoying this twist on the TLC match. Thought the use of the weapons was a great spin, using them to brutalise and break down opponents rather than do crazy spots off of. Also though the implementation of pinfalls into TLC worked surprisingly well, making this feel more like a No DQ match than anything else. Oba Femi is really good at this kind of brutal offence so it made sense to put him at the forefront of this. But it all fell apart in the finish, with silly interference that took me out of the match completely."
[7.0] "Match of the night for me, Oba & Tony D have some fantastic chemistry. All three of their matches have been ***.75 or higher for me, great stuff & great series of matches they put together, excited to see what these two move on to next. 1. Week 2 on CW (****.5) 2. No Mercy (****) 3. Halloween Havoc (***.75)"
[7.0] "A bit of restructured rules for the TLC match, or TLS I guess, where pinfalls or submissions get the win and I think this played into both guys favor. Tony immediately takes it to Oba, even cutting off ring introductions and the plunder began, with both guys using the furniture. For a bigger guy, Tony bumped his ass off for Femi, getting chokeslammed through chairs, getting thrown into a ladder, getting bodyslammed through the ladder propped up at ringside, then taking this uppercut through a table in the corner that might be one of the most satisfying table breaks I have ever seen because Tony looked like he exploded through it. The match then turned into this emotional drama, with Oba once again zip tying Tony to the turnbuckle and the Family coming out to try to help Tony, but Oba looked like a monster, stalking Adrianna Rizzo, even threatening her with a crowbar, which made DAngelo break out of the zip tie and spear Femi off the apron through a ladder bridge. All the members of the Family got their lumps in Oba before Tony got the pin after a spinebuster through a table. Such a fun match that also had that added bonus of the emotional core through it. (***1/2)"
[8.0] "Both men sold the brutality of this match well. I liked the visual of the Family coming together to take out Femi after the Ruler of NXT made the feud more personal."
[9.0] "The better of their matches against each other with really great action and spots throughout and a great way to kick off Tony's reign as NXT North American Champion."
[8.0] "I'd say that this was as good as their previous match, and some of the spots were done really well, specially Tony going through the table. The ending was a bit botched by Oba, but nothing too major."
[7.0] "[3.5*] Very entertaining match with great usage of the stipulation. This was the perfect opener to hype-up the crowd and they did an incredible job breaking barricades, tables and ladders for our enjoyment. At the end the DAngelo Family was able to finally get revenge on Oba Femi and Tony won the feud once and for all. Probably my favorite match of the whole match, this was just so much fun and awesome to see."
[7.0] "Entertaining match which I enjoyed even if a few spots did come across a little over choreographed. Oba Femi is definitely one to watch and I look forward to potentially seeing him on the main roster in the future"
[7.0] "A good opener between two powerful but agile profiles. Oba remains strong and the rest looks interesting for him. Especially with such a striking entrance. In ring quality: 2/4. Stakes: 1.5/2. Justification 0.75/. Suspense: 1/1. Place on the card: 1/1. Bonus/Malus: None. Total: 7.25/10. Match seen on WWE Network."
"Might need to rewatch after watching it live but this is a rare instance where a Roxanne match hasnt been match of the night for me. This was easily their best match together so far, Oba trying to destroy Tonys family and Tony saving them & getting the win was amazing to watch. Glad to see Tony getting the love he deserves and hoping that Oba doesnt get drafted to the main roster and holds the NXT title first. [****.25]"
[8.0] "This was a great opener. Oba Femi is a superstar a future World Champion they had to pull everything out to defeat this man. They made Oba Femi seem like a unbeatable final boss in this match which is the way they should always make him to be this monster that;'s very unbeatable and that you have to pull everything out to beat him. He destroyed The D'Angelo Family again throwing them left and right and making Tony D'Angelo be stuck near the corner as Oba Femi was taunting and hunting down Adriana Rizzo which led to an insane spear to the outside onto the ladder which broke in half. All of The D'Angelo Family members ganged up to help Tony D'Angelo get the victory and retain his WWE NXT North American Championship. Great Opener but now what's next for Oba Femi?"
[9.0] "This is really Oba Femis Breakout year, and This year has also gone so well with Tony DAngelo. This year Angelo was a Tag Team Champion, the Heritage Champion, and is the NXT North American Champion. Femi winning the title was the first time i had seen him, and Ive always watched his matches ever since. I was confused when it wasnt a ladder match like I thought it was going to be, but either having an Extreme Rules type match for these two were great after that roll up pin. The Start, with Tony DAngelo starting it off strong against Femi, was great and made him look so good. But then again Oba Dominating looked good. The table spot was good, and that got the crowd going good. Oba has such aura in the ring, and makes literally any moves so hard and ground breaking. The Femi and Oba face off actually made me think he was going to put her through the table or ladder, but that led to a nice Moment for that spear. I liked the shatter machine moment, but i think there kinda should have been a bigger moment for him to beat him again"
[7.0] "Good match for the NA Championship. A hard hitting fight that properly utilized the stipulation. A lot of chair shots and table bumps. It got off to a really hot start and by about the halfway point started to cool off once the story took over for the action. Oba had Tony D trapped with a zip tie in the corner then the rest of The Family came out to assist. Oba beat them up then slowly started to stalk Adrianna, which is such a weird thing to add because of the implication of what he wants to do to her. Tony D manages to break free and rescues her. The Family get their revenge on Oba, Tony D puts him through a table with a spinebuster for the pin and retains the title. I would have preferred just a one on one without the interference, though with the story they told they kind of had to do it that way. Either way, good showing by both guys. 7/10"
[7.0] "A solid start to the show but not as good as I hoped it would be. They had some cool spots, I especially enjoyed Oba's tackle through the table, but apart from that, there was not a lot of huge stuff happening. The finish felt kind of weird to me because the heel/face dynamic wasn't really where I thought it should be. Tony only won because of his family and this made his victory a little less meaningful to me."
[4.0] "While they did give Oba Femi his comeuppance so to speak, this was long, slow and not particularly good. It was also, in one of the worst parts of any modern hardcore match, beset by interference from the outside that dragged this down from middling to below par."
[7.0] "very solid match but a match that is very much leaning towards the meyham side of things for this stipulation and not much story or psychology. I do enjoy the spot where tony d is zip tied and break free to save rizo. Oba really was dominating most of this match and for a while i thought we might see him win the title back but that wasnt the case. Im not to sure what is next for oba i just hope he has something to do until hopefully taking the nxt title at stand and deliver. The whole family getting there payback on oba at the finish of the match was nice as well. 3.50 stars"
[6.0] "This was a decent match but was very heavily reliant on the TLC components of the match with the actual wrestling mostly revolving around spears and bombs. I wanted to give this a 7 but the wrestling just wasn't there and then the family involving themselves at the end solidified the 6 for me."
[6.0] "This match was not that good in my opinion it was very underwhelming, yes there were some good weapo slots and some good counters and moves , like the spear through the tables stuff with the ladders, they used the stipulation kinda well. This match should of just been a war though, there didn't need to be that extra drama with the family, the stuff with Adrianna was too long. I know this match called for some storytelling because of the story on nxt but I didn't like it. Satisfactory match, but these two are pretty good in ring and have good chemistry so some goodness was to be expected, still very underwhelming and under par."
"[7.5] Very good performance from both of the wrestlers ! As an opener, it was very solid. Oba proved once again he really is a megastar in the making. Tony showed a legit adversity and weapons added flavour to this match. Big fan of Oba but watching The Family put all the effort together to beat like he was Thanos was pretty much entertaining to watch."
[7.0] "Very good entertaining match with a lot of crazy spots. Oba Femi is a star and have fantastic chemistry with Tony D. That leapfrog + uppercut table spot looked badass. Spear into the ladder too. Didn't like the ending with 4 babyfaces to beat 1 heel. Doesn't feel right in my opinion."
[8.0] "By far the best match of the show, and I was convinced as soon as it was announced on the card, I knew these two would deliver a quality final chapter, and even more so with this stipulation from which they got the best. D'Angelo is really starting to give us consistent performances and Oba Femi is just awesome. There were lots of cool spots and the crowd was hot, very good match."
[9.0] "****1/4 (8.5/10) Haters will hate, and Marks will be Marks, but Oba/Tony has been one of my favorite feuds of this golden year of 2024. I am a fan of when the opener starts with a fast bang instead of a gradual entrance into the show. I would have been happy with Oba winning. But maybe having Tony run with the belt for a little longer while he can climb up his stock is the right move. I can see Oba getting a push for the NXT title, unless they want to already throw him on to the main roster. Whichever direction they decide to route, Oba is to home run all the way to the top of the card. Time will tell if just for NXT or all of WWE."
"Man, i like the match. I prefer Oba vs Tony II, tonight we had a really god match. Good spots. Oba is the power, painmaker machine, and a master of hold the crowd attetion in the match. Tony is the hart, the emotion, and a fantastic horsework. They have a good chamistry. Was a good way to start the show. Happy for Tony. He deserve it."
[8.0] "These two man have great chemestry even before the ending they were having a really good match, just from the start with Tony destroying the barricade with Oba, this was better than their No Mercy match I don't think it was as good as their St. Louis match but this was a pretty good plunder match to finish their feud, they used the TLC stipulation in a great way and even make it made sense why the title wasn't hanging, Oba even in defeat looked like a monster as Tony needed to put him through a ladder, a crowbar and shattered machine with a chair and going through a table to Tony to finally beat Oba"
