[2.0] "A disaster of a match that was highly ill-conceived and managed to lower the stock of both players whilst also very nearly giving one of them a serious injury. Perhaps we should have known it wasn't going to go well when Hummingbird even managed to botch her entrance. To be honest, the only benefit of this match was it made Hummingbird dial everything back, focus on doing the simple things correctly, and slowly start to rehabilitate her image within Marigold (which, to her credit, she is doing and her stock is slowly going up because of it)."
[3.0] "I appreciate what they were going for, wasnt ever going to be a great match but would've been good to progress Natsumi's run and give Hummingbird the chance to show what she's got. The action was sluggish and overly choreographed and then the botch took everything out of the match, however there were moments that weren't bad and for that I wont give it below a 3."
"What could've been a really good match, and wa warming up to be one. Unfortunately turned into a bad situation where a botched Rana on the outside had Hummingbird hit the ground head first and looked like Natsumi got hit too. From there they carried on for a couple of minutes an went to the finish in the ring, but honestly the ref should've called it and gone for a non contest. Maybe had a rematch in a couple of weeks. Can't rate it due to the obvious head injury. I just hope Hummingbird is ok, a bit of work and some more matches and she'll be an exciting addition to the roster i'm sure. She has a great look, and in fairness the match without that botched move was pretty good. Even the stuff they did aferwards worked well."
[2.0] "It wasn't bad until it was bad. The botch at the end was terrible. For Hummingbird to get this on a debut is sad. So much intrigue going in and it fell flat after about 5 minutes."
[1.0] "This was a mess. There was some intrigue as Hummingbird was making her debut here. Early on they were going for a lucha style exchange where Hummingbird would be too quick for Natsumi to get her hands on. It wasn't good or bad, just okay as some of the moves looked a little clunky, but it's a decent story. The match completely falls apart when Hummingbird goes for a hurricanrana on the outside, it's horribly botched and her head lands HARD on the floor. Natsumi tried to roll through with it and ended up hitting her head on the floor as well. Both stayed down for a while, and I don't think anybody would have blamed them for declaring the match a no contest then rescheduling for another time. Amazingly, they were able to continue and had a sloppy exchange back in the ring. Natsumi climbed to the top rope, but fell down because she was so out of it. She went back up and was able to hit the double knees for the win to retain the Superfly title. A very bad, ugly match that didn't have a chance of redeeming itself after the botch. 1/10"
[1.0] "(Sorry english is not my firtst language) It was terrible, Hummingbird do most o fthe action and doesnt look good at any of this and Natsumi did like 2 moves and still botch one of them"
[5.0] "The match fine enough until the double concussion botch. Hummingbird has athleticism but lacks the experience to use it properly in her wrestling, as a result the timing was often awkward and Showzuki mostly did a good of covering for it. The botched spot was inherently risky and none is to blame for it, though it was definitely unwise to attempt it with an unexperienced wrestler with likely some ring rust. At least they ended the match quickly after this."
[3.0] "I was curious to see what Hummingbird was capable of and it was... underwhelming , most of the things she has done during this match were either sloppy or botched, she was slow and her lucha libre wasn't that impressive. Natsumi Showzuki couldn't do anything, she wasn't even in her match too and it is by far her worst performance since the beginning of Marigold. Hummingbird also injured herself on the Hurricanrana outside the ring, it was scary but at least they did a good sequences when they came back into the ring but unfortunately this wasn't enough to make this match watchable, hell even the finish was botched. Very bad match - *3/4"
[5.0] "It wasn't as bad as some people say and write. Yes, botch took a lot of points off this match, but that happens in wrestling. Considering the match went 9 minutes, it had some good moments and it certainly wasn't the worst match in 2024. I hope both girls have taken the downsides into consideration and put on a better match in the future. Hummingbird's excitement was evident, but nothing criminal happened. It wasn't bad until the turning point, after hitting their heads on the floor it would be weird to demand a five star match from them. The important thing is that both are healthy and ready to keep working."
[4.0] "Solid match with plenty of speedy action, however there were a few mishaps and it failed to pick back up after the botched spot outside the ring. Thankfully post match it was reported that there were no serious injuries."
[0.0] "This was already headed to be one of my worst matches of the year where no moves where botched, what with the NXT 2.0 level super slow, super soft, super chereographed lucha to start the match, but then the scary botch happened and it was absolutely sickening. Continuing the match was ill-advised knowing what we know in 2024, but Natsumi showed some decent offence in the final sequence, but Hummingbird smashed her own head again on a badly executed bridging pin. This would have gotten 2 or 3 without the botches as, while great lucha is the best wrestling, there's nothing worse or more business exposing than badly done lucha... but the brutal KO botched tipped this into worst match of the year territory for me. Terrible."
