El Clon & Hechicero vs. Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson

Hechicero and El Clon are talented guys in their own right and I don't know enough about El Clon's previous career to know if he has worked with Hechicero before but they work well. Enough where they could be a legit tag team in their own right which is best show cased against one of the most established tag teams like the Young Bucks. A very under-rated tag team match that is rated well but somehow got forgotten quickly. I see people citing a predictable winners and the meaning behind the match was to build momentum for the bucks. Which I just don't see how those are marks against this match when the overwhelming majority of matches work this way and these would not be knocks against any other form of media if you're a rational person who understands how narrative construction works."

[5.0] "My weekly "El Clon sucks" comment - this felt like a nothing match and I wanted to like it more considering I've more or less really liked the Young Bucks getting back to form in 2026. El Clon is really just a waste of a roster spot and unnecessary fluff"

[8.0] "I rated it a 7.5, The Young Bucks came out to a strong ovation, while Hechicero & El Clone representing the Don Callis Family alongside Rocky Romero were met with scattered boos, setting the tone immediately. The crowd stayed loud from the opening bell with "Young Bucks" chants, and their energy only grew as the match unfolded, especially when the Callis side slowed things down and isolated Matt Jackson, leaving fans desperate for the hot tag. My favorite moment came when Hechicero planted Matt with the Mad Scientist Bomb for a near fall, a brutal and creative spot that had the crowd biting hard. The match swung between styles, with the Bucks using speed and explosive offense to take early control, while Hechicero and El Clone countered with inventive submissions and teamwork to grind things to a halt. In the end, once Nick Jackson finally got in and chaos erupted, the Bucks regained control and finished El Clone with the Meltzer Driver to secure the win in a fast-paced, crowd-fueled battle."

[8.0] "This match was designed to showcase the Young Bucks before their match against Takeshita and Okada. The DCF dominated more than I expected. But a loss for the Bucks never seemed possible to me. I hope Clon and Hechihero continue to team up."

Given that the result was a given from the beginning, there's an argument to be made that this went a little too long; my attention certainly dwindled as time went on. Otherwise this is a World Tag Championship calibre clash as reflected by my overall rating."

[8.0] "Yes this match was so good man i loved it it had such a great mix of moves and styles man and those DCF boy had the Bucks in hell at one point. The match was wrestled at 100mph like you would expect from these for men with a mix of kicks, high flying and technical wrestling. The Bucks were great as always and i liked how the struggled at the start of the match against the technical skill of Clon and Hechi gave the match a nice dynamic with them fighting from underneath. Hechi and El Clon were great their offence was so damn creative man i love Clon tying Matt up in the ropes was so cool. I really am starting to enjoy Clon hoping he gets to stay in this team till Hologram can come back. Hechi was great as always with all of his fast pace creative technical work and i just love him so much. The finish with the Bucks catching Hechi in the air and turning it into a meltzer driver for the 3 was great. Overall a really good match to continue the Bucks feud with the DCF going into the PPV tonight and can we keep Clon and Hechi as a team they are fucking great man. (****)"

[8.0] "A match that's genuinely entertaining. There were creative moves, unexpected moments, and a few minor mistakes, but I saw great chemistry throughout practically the entire match. As I said, it was entertaining and dynamic, and it's a good way to give El Clon and Hechicero some time in the spotlight against a team like the Young Bucks. Both teams did a great job, and it heats up the rivalry with the Don Callis Family a bit more."

"[8.0] My biggest takeaway from Young Bucks vs El Clon & Hechicero is I'd like to see the latter become a staple in the AEW tag division. These two have only teamed up twice, and both times were within the last ten days. You'd think they'd been a team for years with the level of chemistry they exhibited. They have such amazing innovation in their offence and play off each other perfectly. There's a double backslide Jacknife that dropped my jaw. Great stuff for nearly 15 minutes. ***3/4"

[8.0] "Hechicero is so incredible because no matter how many fast-paced spots happen to or around him, he manages to add context and meaning to it all while still doing some of the visually coolest shit you'll ever see. Face Bucks remain pretty refreshing in this run trying to deal with these two wildly different luchadores, though I admit El Clon as a gimmick can be hit or miss even within a single match for me; he does awesome spots but the connecting tissue isn't always there which is why Hechicero holding everything together made a world of difference. ***3/4"
