13 | 21.12.2024 | njs0085 | | match was falling apart, but orton is so pro that he just kept doing his move to evans on the announce table to get the crowd into it. all while booker is yelling, "ON THE JOB TRAINING! ON THE JOB TRAINING! " lol |
14 | 13.12.2024 | MoistestAlou | 5.0 | 5.0 - a very acceptable TV main event with the veteran vs. rookie framework; even aside from the finish not everything was crisp but as always Je'Von gets a chance to showcase his agility here and the NXT crowd gets its money worth with Orton's traditional offense. This doesn't affect my rating but as a side note good on RKO for being older and wiser and not going the "stupid stupid stupid" route with the finish on-camera. |
15 | 27.11.2024 | Screaming Enigma | 7.0 | Another solid match on the show, in my opinion. It really is a shame about the botched RKO counter, but it is what it is and I think they made the best of it with Orton using it to get him into a second, proper, RKO. It was also really nice to see Evans repeatedly apologizing for what happened, just for Orton to stay calm and let him know it was okay. |

25 | 22.10.2024 | Thenxt observer | 7.0 | ***1/4 (6.5/10) I'm not going to fret over the botch near the finish! It's a hard move to pull off cleanly, and that was probably the one out of ten times that it didn't fall through how Orton and Evans had intended. Nobody talked about the huge botch during the triple threat at Wrestle dream, but whenever WWE (even NXT) have a minor botch that doesn't even ruin the match, it gets magnified by the public eye. Not the match of the night, but all the matches were bangers, tonight, including the main event! |

28 | 18.10.2024 | darkflame4527 | 6.0 | [***] A decent match with not that much substance besides Randy kind of showing Je"Veon a veteran style of wrestling. Felt pretty slow at times due to commercial interruptions and the fact this was already a short match for how long this match was hyped up. The botched RKO spot didn't take points off for me as...NXT is developmental. And besides botches happen. |

40 | 15.10.2024 | TomTakagi | 7.0 | Crowd was fired up to see Orton and he seemed to love it. He truly seems to be having the time of his life on this current run. Nice story in the opening moments of Je'Von going for high spots only for Orton to dodge. He did get some offense in though and rocked him with a couple big superkicks and a big leaping cutter which was a moment. That should've then been followed up by an incredible RKO, but Evans didn't quite get the distance on the springboard. Definitely a botch, but arguably played into the story of Je'Von going a bit too much for broke. It was nice to see the two generations share the ring - I can't imagine what it meant to the Young Og. Special mention for Orton seeming to tell Je'Von it was alright, when the youngster apologised after the match. Good stuff. |

But, pro that he is, he just picked Evans up and gave him one the old fashioned way. Great storytelling in this match of the young upstart having to work overtime to catch the wily veteran off guard. Randy walked the tightrope well of being smarmy without going full heel and gave Je"Von his props multiple times. He also ruined that man's back. |

Fraxiom graps. And Jevon Evans showing why hes one of the most exciting prospects WWE has had in a long time. I had a great time |

79 | 10.10.2024 | huhthisisweird | | (5.0) Je'Von is still one of the 10 best in the world based on in ring ability alone but damn. Building a whole match around a fucked up spot is not a smart idea (look at Moxley vs Omega at Revolution 2021 as an example). Orton is fine in this but very much just coasting because everyone knows it's trying to build to that. It should have been a match where Evans is constantly outsmarting Orton and making him go for the RKO but missing so that way if they fuck up at any point, they can just try again to get that moment. Just poorly thought out but not awful and I like both guys too much to say it's bad. |

Nevertheless cracking proving ground match for the young Evans. Far from the star making match it could have been though. |

I feel like this match was a prototype, if that makes sense. It was just Randy having the time of his life with a youngster. It ruled. Not a great match, but a very damn fun one. WWE uploaded a Shorts where Jevon apologizes to Randy and Randy says that he is the fucking man, super moment. I really hope for a rematch down the line. |
