[3.0] "Bayley losing the title to Nia was a mistake. We all know why she got the title and her reign was not good apart from the 2 Naomi matches. Nia was slow and sloppy and pulled out the worst move of the year."
[3.0] "Bayley should have never lost the title. Nia is one of the worst in the world and I don't know how she's even in the company. Bayley could try her best here but there was simply no way in hell that she could have another watchable match with Nia. The Summerslam match was okay, no reason to run it back."
[7.0] "Good match but their summerslam match was much better. This rating is still too low for my liking but wrestling is subjective at the end of the day. Nia adding in new wrinkles to her arsenal with her rematch with Bayley by pulling out submissions popped me. Bayley plays her role as an underdog babyface extremely well making Nia look like a monster here. I thought they did an admirable job having to follow the hiac and they did a good job getting the crowd on their side the deeper the match, especially with the Tiffany cash in tease. Liked the added desperation from Bayley and Nia by stealing each others moves in order to win the match. The crowd was anticipating something happening, case in point with the "we want Tiffy" chants, which led to swerve in helping Nia retain as champ. Good food imo"
[3.0] "They don't work well together, and no shame upon Bayley, she's an amazing wrestler. I just can't understand, how the biggest professional wrestling company in the world, would make Nia Jax their champion."
[3.0] "Bayley really tried to save this match despite being presented as a filler rematch challenger, but her opponent is unfortunately Nia Jax who did really a mess. Tiffany's MITB cash in attempt isn't doing anything for me, she should be the first and only one wasting the briefcase as she is still too green in the main event scene. [*3/4]"
[6.0] "I thought this match was a bit better than the reviews let it down to be. This was a decent matchup with some nice moments spliced through here and there but we also got some sloppy moments or flat-out botches that made both women look bad. [***1/4]"
[5.0] "At first I thought this was going to be one of Nia's better matches, but then the botches came in hard and fast. Nia's stamina clearly has an issue with the flow of the match as this is when the mistakes come. The Tiffy "cash-in" tease gave this match something which is where I have granted a few extra points."
[3.0] "Really bad match. Nia cannot work. I really dont want to see her anywhere near matches let alone a PPV card where she is the champion. Shocking botches paired with no chemistry between these two. Bayley won the rumble and won at mania all to go straight back to where she was being lost in the shuffle and just another challenger."
[8.0] "I actually really liked this match. Classic but effective formula. One of the best Bailey matches since a WHILE, and one of the best matches of Nia of all time. The interference from Tiffany also added some plus to the match. Hoping to watch her cashing in soon. [****1/4]"
[3.0] "This was an awful match filled with botches that was somehow worse than I expected. If this is the best version of Nia Jax then that shows you how bad she is. On top of all of that this match was super predictable and at the end Tiffany didn't even cash in when she had the perfect opportunity to."
"Listen, I might be the only person that loves Nia Jax and thinks she still has a high ceiling in WWE as a worker. She is slow, overweight and vacillates between indifference and wearing kid gloves with her opponent's wellbeing, but looked good here. These two have worked each other a lot. The errors in this one are on whoever set up the match with these ladies. Asking Nia to do a Frankensteiner out of the corner and then follow it up with getting in position for and selling a sunset flip into the corner is a mistake. I would give this a 5/10, so no number rating."
[3.0] "Botches that happened here were beyond hilarious (and Jax's 'attempt' of 'Huracanrana' will be remembered forever), at the same time they did a good job recovering after them so it wasn't a total disaster. For whatever reason WWE thinks that women can't work finishes that have crowds invested, so there was another interference - this time Stratton tried to cash-in MITB gimmick, but Jax caught her which forced Stratton to flee. After all that, Bayley looked like a replaceable challenger of the month."
[5.0] "Very Similar to their match at Summerslam, Bayley showing once again how great she is by carrying Nia, Tiffany's involvement was also predictable."
[6.0] "I found this to be better than their match at SummerSlam, which I think is a bit of an unpopular opinion, but it still wasn't my favorite. I do think and recognize that Jax has improved in the ring, but she's still a little underwhelming in ring to me. With that in mind, I'm really hoping she drops the title soon, but it's likely that she holds it until WrestleMania at least."
[3.0] "I don't understand why Nia Jax is still around if she's not going to join the Bloodline. She doesn't have good matches, she's known for injuring her opponents, and she's not that charismatic. I also don't care much for Bayley, but she does have the occasional good match. The attempted hunacanrana by Nia Jax was embarrassing. Kudos to Bayley for trying to sell that nonsense. The tease of Tiffany Stratton cashing in was well cone, but otherwise this was pointless."
[6.0] "They had to follow up Punk vs McIntyre so I'll give them some credit however this match was still pretty bad. It was better than their first match however still was under-delivered in my opinion. It's also disappointing that this wasn't even the worst on the card. Overall was a pretty lame match that I did not enjoy one bit."
[6.0] "For having the tough task of following Punk vs McIntyre, Bayley and Nia did a lot to keep the crowd engaged and pop for big spots in the match, which is highly respectable. I actually found the match much better than their encounter at SummerSlam, albeit considering some missed spots. I would like to see them pull the trigger on the Tiffany storyline soon though, because at a certain point, it shouldnt be used as a cop out for Nia to retain every single time. All in all, an alright match considering the circumstances. **3/4."
[6.0] "If I thought Punk vs Drew is not that good for 5 stars, I also think this is not that bad for 1.75. I understand the 5 marks, even the 4's. Match was not exactly what you call good on the workrate aspect, and it was one of the worst Nia Jax's performances ever. I'll give to her that she tries, but she doesn't have any wrestling talent at all and that has been like that forever. She improved a little and now she is not a walking injury machine, but that's it. Most good things in her matches are due to their opponents, who make her look as good as possible. Bayley didn't have much of a chance to look good as she had to adapt to wrestle a heavier opponent, but it's in those little details that you don't see easily where she shines. Able to keep a good pace, setting the tone and the field for whatever Nia had to do next, selling good, wrestling logically according to what the match is. I've been critical of how rushed the Nia-Tiffany story is being done, and I think what happened in this match should've been the first time Nia caught Tiffany trying to cash-in instead of all the other times. Bayley and the Tiffany thing elevated the match, Nia dragged it despite her trying hard to do good, but she just doesn't have it at all (***)"
[6.0] "This match was satisfactory, but I honestly expected more , their summerslam match was better and the match here wasn't that good it was sloppy and felt like there were a lot of mishaps. There were a lot of slow moments , but Nia hitting the hurricane was solid and was impressive, Bayley was pretty solid though and of course she was the better wrestler here. Tiffany coming out to tease her cash in was good and added more to the drama and story of the match. Nia Jax and Tiffany are having issues , and Bayley tried to capitalize. Tiffany threw her briefcase at Bayley, and Nia won the match. Storyline wise this was good, in ring wise wasn't that good , the story and Tiffany's cash in tease carried."
[8.0] "This match had the impossible task of following such a great open. With that said this match accomplished exactly what it set out to do. Advance the Nia and Tiffany drama. Storyline is the most important part of wrestling, X's and O's don't matter as much to me."
[4.0] "Worse than a bad wrestler, is a bad wrestler who doesn't evolve; that's what Nia Jax is. She's been in WWE for a while now, but every match that you watch with her, there's gonna be big botches; she did likely the worst-looking Hurricanrana ever, then botched a Samoan Drop. Minutes later, Bayley, who's probably half of her weight, did a perfect Samoan Drop. By the way, thankfully Bayley was Nia's opponent, as she did what she could to make this match enjoyable. (**)."
[2.0] "So many botches, I was feeling bad for the commentators who were confused about what was actually happening. How is possible that at this level, in the most important wrestling federation, in a Pay-per-View, we can assist at such low level quality wrestling?"
[2.0] "Dreadful. Whatever slight improvements that Nia Jax showed early in her return have firmly gone now and her faults were on full display against no-knees Bayley. The forced involvement of Tiffany Stratton in all of this stuff drags it down, but the work before that was rubbish."
[3.0] "You'd think that these two would be a good matchup because Bayley's such a good bumper. And Bayley bumps well for her, but something about Nia's work just doesn't hit right sometimes. The pace for this is nice and high, you'd expect a Nia Jax match to be much slower than this, but things are boom boom boom. They botch a hurricanrana spot; whoever thought it was a good idea to have someone so big try to hurricanrana someone so much smaller is a moron. They also botch a sunset flip bomb into the corner. The size differential means that they just can't pull off certain shit; I don't know why they even try some of these moves. They botch a third move which I think was supposed to be a samoan drop, Maybe Jax isn't as improved as a lot of us thought she might be. There is a bit of gaga with a ref bump and tiffany stratton at the end of this which is fun. This would have been a pretty good match if it wasn't for the botches."
[2.0] "Honestly, one of the poorest matches on a WWE PPV for a while, and it was like I was having Deja Vu, because we saw this match play out between the two already. Did no-one want to maybe change like, one thing about it and keep it in any way fresh? Jax has not improved as a wrestler and Bayley is suffering to capitulate to her here. Really, really poor."
[2.0] "The story of Naya Jax and Bayley for the Undisputed Women's Title is very weak and so is this match It had weak momentum and it was clear that Tiffany was going to intervene Naya Jax's performance as a champ and Bayley's performance as a challenger were very poor"
[3.0] "Every time I trick myself into thinking that Nia is better now, I get a reality check with a match like this. Just a brutal botchfest and not a very good match at all. By the end I was completely checked out, which is a pretty substantial achievement after a match as hot as the opener."
[3.0] "If you put the belt on Nia Jax in 2024 and expect anything better than painfully mediocre then you deserve what you get. This however didn't reach painfully mediocre and settled and the slightly less assesment of "just bad". It feels mean to say this but some people just weren't born to do this, you can get good matches out of anyone but some people just aren't good. The movement throughout the match was awkward and there was no sense of urgency at all from both women. I'd like to see Bianca Belair in a singles match on PPV again soon please."
[4.0] "I don't want to bash the wrestling of this match too much because there was definitely effort on both sides to make this work. Having to run this back after a similarly bad match at Summerslam, this was never going to deliver very high. Nia Jax seems like she is motivated here to prove herself to the community, it didn't work though and Bayley is not the worker she used to be to carry this. **"
[3.0] "The fact that I have had to sit through another one of these matches while the much hotter Gunther vs. Sami Zayn match is saved for Raw, or while the six guys in the three-way ladder match for the tag team titles were stuck on SmackDown instead of this premium event, annoys me. What also annoys me is that we had the same finish from SummerSlam, but longer and a little sloppier. *1/2"
[3.0] "I'm sorry but the fact that the average rating for this match is above average is very concerning because it was an objectively bad match, an absolute botchfest that was borderline dangerous at times and with a preposterous ref bump. I can't mention every botched spot it would be too long so I'm just gonna say that whoever thought Nia Jax doing a hurricanrana was a good idea is stupid. At least it was so bad that it was entertaining and the Stratton spot was kinda clever. I don't want to be that guy but if the exact same match happened in any other company the average rating would be around 2 or 3..."
[3.0] "I don't really get constructing matches where the only bit of intrigue is whether or not someone is going to cash in or not. It makes the actual match itself uninteresting, especially one of the wrestlers is Nia Jax. Credit to her for improving, but her matches are still just not captivating in the slightest. Bayley does her best and is still an all-world talent but the botches were ugly and the 763rd Tiffy fake-out just sapped any umph in this match. Didn't help that they followed one of the best matches in company history, but they really should just pull the trigger on Tiffany, the SmackDown women's division is dead in the water at the moment."
[4.0] "A match that no one was interested in and that did not deserve the PLE spot at all. Tiffany Straton didn't even cash in, which was the only thing that could've made this match interesting."
[2.0] "Bayley vs Nia Jax was most likely the worst WWE PLE match of 2024. They tried different things, but it was bad ideas that didn't work at all. Their chemistry was just off and nothing looked quite good in this one. I like both women's work, but this just didn't work out well"
[7.0] "Not as good as their summerslam match. There are still some fun things in this match. The ref bump was fun, the Deadman esque sit up from Nia to catch Tiffany was great also. Some spots weren't clean especially the hurricanrana spot."
[5.0] "Much more ambitious than their SummerSlam match, but to mixed results. This is terribly clumsy at times yet with the third act's drama, gets the people onboard regardless. In fairness, the initial work is decent also, things just increasingly loosen over the slightly extended runtime. Ultimately, I think this was a worthy gamble, as Jax's formula had been established in a fashion that some tweaks were needed for this rematch. Unfortunately, the conclusion is probably that Jax had a formula for a reason, as this got a little ahead of itself. **1/4"
[5.0] "I am placing this match in the middle with 5 points because it was just there. It was not terrible but it did not surpass my expectations. I was not overly hyped for this match but I was merely fine with it being on the card. After watching, I do not feel any different. Ifelt no hype but it was okay. The teased cash-in would have had an impact if it had not happened countless times before so it was not any reason for excitement."
[3.0] "As Dax Harwood once said about Bayley's matches: "Bayley always puts story first". I personally find it hard to be invested in Bayley's matches recently, since almost always the story-telling is fine, but the in-ring action is sloppy from start to finish. Perfection is not requirred for having a good match, but a decent in-ring performance always helps keeping up the heat of the story. So, I didn't like the result of mixing Bayley's "story above everything" performance with Nia Jax's stiff but also sloppy style. Also, the reff bump and another Tiffy failed cash-in adds nothing to the match and feels useless after a rewatch. They tried, but this just wasn't good."
[4.0] "Nia just isn't good. I wanted her time away from the company being spent getting better but she was too busy being strange on social media and not actually improving. The hurricanrana by Nia was decent though and her Undertaker rise during TIffy's near-Time also got an ironic chuckle out of me, but Bayley worked harder than she needed to to make this match watchable and we really should've had Tiffany cash in and win. It also doesn't help that the crowd was lava hot from the Punk/Drew match before, and this cooled them down fast."
[3.0] "Nia Jax as usual when I watch her in the ring for me did not deliver a good match, too much action did not come from her side for me to consider it a good match. After Bayley did everything to make this match good she was not able to save it. There were simply too many mistakes for me to consider it a good match."
[6.0] "This match was sloppy in part but also had some great spots - the Nia 'rana and submissions, the Bayley Samoan Drop. Bollocks that Tiffany didn't cash in though. Sometimes, HHH can get too cute with the long-form storytelling, and I thought this was a good time to crown Tiffy."
[1.0] "This match was horrible! I dont know how Nia Jax is in the potion of champion. This match was full of botches and mistimed moves, it is a wonder no one left injured. Even the announcers had a hard time knowing was what happening in the ring often calling a move to the have to cover a botch. Bayley carried this match and deserves all the credit here. This was nothing like their Summerslam match up so dont expect that (even though that wasnt great either). Nia is just not the champion the womens division needs and it is only a matter of time before she injures herself or someone else. Seeing Tiffy was a highlight but I want to see her talents in the ring not as a lackey to Nia."
[8.0] "*** / excellent match for me way better than rhea and liv, spots where amazing both these women are Amazon in ring Bayley probably the best womens wrestler right now in WWE and nia WHO is way way better than ever and shes do much safer than ever and that's great about her"
[5.0] "Very tough to follow the 30-minute Punk/McIntyre HITC saga. Hard spot to be in. The match itself was good. Tiffany Stratton coming out was predictable, but was nicely involved. Woulda liked to see her come out afterwards and tease the cash-in then. Surprising good effort by Nia. A few near botches, but was actually pretty smooth and dominant through out. Solid effort on both side. Definitely the right choice for Nia win and certainly her best run she's ever had in the company. She's gotten better as a wrestler (still not perfect, or very good, for that matter), but she's suppose to be an unstoppable "beast" and this run as the champion is doing that for her."
[3.0] "This following Drew/Punk was a dumb choice, this actually started solid & then fell into a genuinely bad match. Very, very sloppy & Tiffany not cashing in here is a dumb decision, it was quite literally the perfect opportunity for her to walk out as champ, no one wants Nia Jax as long term champ"
[7.0] "Not a bad match but I was never a fan of either of these woman. There were some good spots but there were a few missteps as well and you knew shenanigans were gonna occur when the ref took a bump. The brief back and forth between Tiffany and Nia was fun but immediately went funny when Bayley missed the briefcase throw back at Tiffany."
[5.0] "Tough act following the Punk/Drew match. Nia tried something new but she did not achieve it - the hurricana spot looked really poor, as did the Samoan drop for that matter. Bayley's Samoan drop on the other hand was impressive. For a match where they spent time telling us how much Nia has improved, this was a dodgy showing from her. I enjoyed the execution of the ref bump, which felt different even if the concept is as old as wrestling itself and Nia's Undertaker impression made me smile. They continue to tease Tiffany's eventual turn effectively, I just hope they don't drag it out too long."
[0.0] "Nia Jax still can't wrestle. She still can't really do much of anything well enough to justify not only a spot on the roster but having a championship. She sucks and I can't be any plainer than that. The women's title scene is very grim and the only reason it isn't the nadir of both belts is because of the divas era which was considerably worse."
[4.0] "Too many botches in my opinion. Their SummerSlam matchup was better in my opinion. Nia's attempt of doing an hurrincarana killed the match. Even thoough, I appreciated the phases wehere Bayley was able to take control of the match, and it was good that they protected her by not having her losing in a clean way. It wasn't really a bad match, but I would not rewatch it. Tiffany cash-in would've upgraded this contest a lot."
[5.0] "Just a completely fine match that struggled particularly in the vacuum of the last match. Bayley looked great, frankly, but Nia struggled and came across somewhat plodding with her in-ring work. Honestly, the Tiffy intervention and its narrative work helped make this a more enjoyable experience. 5/10"
[8.0] "Yeah the result was predictable, but the match was very good. Everyone say the match was mid just because they don't like Nia Jax. But c'mon Nia is awesome since her return. Nia Jax was so brutal and innovating in this match. Bayley was so good too. The ref bump was surprising but very effective and visualy good. WWE keep frustating the fans with the failed cash-in of Tiffany is awesome. And now i surprising myself of liking the idea of seing a babyface Tiffany."
[5.0] "This match started really well and got progressively worse and botch heavy. Its almost like someone turned off the chemistry tap three minutes in. I didnt hate it this, but it wasnt great."
[7.0] "Despite the fact that the women's title was at stake, this match lacked much in the way of a positive memory. While the suspense and build-up gave the match interest, the in-ring action was far too limited. Indeed, many holds were botched (hurricanrana, sunset flip powerbomb, samoan drop) to the point of confusing the commentators... In-ring quality: 0.75/3; Stakes: 1.75/2; Justification: 1/1; Suspense: 1/1; Place on the card: 1/1. Bonus/Malus: Not at the level of a PLE match -0.5. Total: 7/10. Match seen on WWE Network."
[4.0] "This wasn't good, and it was nowhere near as decent as their Summerslam match. They just didn't click in this match, similar ending to Summerslam, this actually reminds me a lot of the feud between Rollins and Balor, Priest came out both times to distract the opponent but the only difference being Tiffany actually helped her friend. I get that Tiffany is being built up as a face through this but we really did not need a Nia Jax title reign in 2024. To me that's pure bloodline nepotism, much alike to how Punk vs McIntyre didn't main event."
[3.0] "The match itself managed to be a little worse than Liv vs. Rhea, Nia has improved a lot in the ring compared to years ago but... she's still not good enough, her reign is pretty average (it was good in the beginning) and Tiffany leaving her heel side aside, and deceiving everyone that she's going to cash-in and never does, is leaving not only me but everyone frustrated, I'm tired of Nia as champion, it's tiffy time, but Nia's performance was so underwhelming, she couldn't bring it back around to anything satisfying. Tiffany Stratton crashes the party with her briefcase, but decides not to cash in when Jax glares at her;"
[4.0] "After a classic Hell in a Cell, we had Nia vs Bayley and in my honest opinion, this match was very, very mid at best. I hope that Tiffy will cash in very soon because Nia as a champ is well, not great."
[5.0] "I really don't know how to feel about this match so I'm just going to right down the middle and say it was alright.I mean Bayley tried to pull off some really good spots, which is tough with Jax but credit where credits due she worked her socks off.It was the correct choice to give Jax the win but I thought Stratton was gonna cash in and get her main roster crowning moment tonight but maybe not.I think it's for the better that they didn't pull the trigger tonight because this heat between Jax and Stratton hasn't peaked yet.Anyways, enough of my yapping it was an okay match."
[8.0] "8/ this match was actually such a banger, and this is defiantly Nias best singles match ever, this is such a great run for her, and for somebody who returned, this is really Nias year. But when I think about it she really hasnt had any terrible matches. I love the angle with Tiffany, but now I want Nia to feud with Naomi, but I really thought Nia was going to get cashed in on. Overall a great match with a few minor blotchy spots, but one of the better womens matches this year. Now I think if they have a midcard title, , Bayley could go there and help/"
[7.0] "I quite like this one! Nia is really awesome here (aside from a few botches, although the Nia-Rana is awesome! ). It's a well-structured match and only really comes apart with the Tiffy stuff towards the end. Other than that, I thought a well-done match was the second-best of the night."
[5.0] "It was fine, but little more than that. Nia continues to be a great monster heel, but with this just feeling like more of the same of their SummerSlam bout, I'd much rather have seen Nia squash Naomi over another Bayley match."
[1.0] "Bayley is one of my favourite wrestlers on the planet but there is absolutely no sugarcoating this one, this was a disaster on almost all levels. Nia Jax is so comically bad at wrestling that she fucked up pretty much every spot that involved more than taking a bump. The Tiffany cash in fakeout was brutally stupid and honestly I have no idea how long it'll take Bayley to recover from this one because she got her ass beat for the majority of the match. Having Nia Jax as your champion in 2024 is a disastrous experience and I don't expect to enjoy the smackdown women's division until they get the belt off of this truly horrific wrestler"
[5.0] "[**3/4] Actually a hilarious match. Slightly better than their Summerslam matchup, Nia Jax counter Bayley's powerbomb in a fucking hurricanrana. They both went to the outside and had some decent spots, but nothing extraordinary. Tiffany almost cashed in but Nia rose from the dead like the Undertaker, pinned Bayley, and walked away in anger. Definitely a filler match to progress the Tiffany turn on Nia. Really tough following Punk vs McIntyre, put provided some decent wrestling, but overall wasn't really important in the grand scheme of things."
[3.0] "I did not enjoy this match. An extended beatdown match can sometimes work as a TV match to build heat, but on a PPV/PLE (especially one with only five matches) I want to see something heftier with more back-and-forth. Add in the fact that the beat down meant that two thirds of the match was just Bayley selling and I was just bored. Especially on the heels of the Punk-McIntyre match, I wanted something faster and lighter to pull out of the HiaC mindset. Throw in some execution botches, like that hurricanrana attempt, and you have a bad match."
[5.0] "This match was mediocre. Nothing SUPER interesting. Some cool spots, Bayley throwing Nia Jax off the top rope. Nia Jax destorys the ref, and Tiffany Stratton came out. I just HATE the Roman Reigns match endings. The ref is knocked out, parter comes out, attacks their opponent, 1-2-3, and boom the champion wins. The formula is TERRIBLE. I HATE it. Nia Jax now thinks that Tiffany tried cashing-in. Cool, I guess? Not exactly the best match (to be fair, I wasn't expecting the GREATEST match of all time), but it could've been better. 5/10"
"This was fine. Nothing to write home about but also not anything outright bad. Nia is growing on me quite a bit, she's got her flaws but she's a very good super heavyweight base. Bayley works well enough with her here. *** 1/4"
[2.0] "The match was actually quite poor. It was boring. It was nonsensical and it was sloppy. I could not imagine being some of the workers in the back and watching Nia get repeated shots at this level before they do. She is amongst the worst and her ability to attempt moves that she has no business hitting or chance of hitting is laughable and it happened twice here."
[3.0] "You can't spend a match building Nia as an improved, well-rounded perfomer when she goes out of place for a dive, then does a move that completely confuses the commentators. The Samoan Drop was a highlight, as were some of Bayley's moves. Tiffy thinking she got hit by the briefcase was annoying."
[4.0] "Okay match for the Women's Championship. This played out a lot like their first match at SummerSlam, only this wasn't as good. They had a nice match in mind, but there were so many sloppy spots that it got ugly at times and became hard to ignore. The ref bump was odd but creative and worked for what they were going for. Bayley got a visual pinfall and Tiffany came out to tease the cash-in with Nia down for the count. The moment with Nia catching Tiffany giving the briefcase o the ref was really good, the best part of the match. Tiffany distracted Bayley long enough for Nia to recover, who hit the Annihilator to retain the title. The result is fine, it was a way to advance the story between Nia and Tiffany, though it's more of the same and something interesting has to happen soon. 4.5/10"
[4.0] "I find it very frustrating that wrestlers like Nia Jax get promoted. Another boring match for her, too many botches, no matter how hard Bayley tried she couldn't get the match on the right level"
[4.0] "This match was bad and exciting at the same time... hard to explain, but I think overall the balance is positive, I've enjoyed some moments, I always like the feeling of brutality that Nia Jax matches since her return convey, it's very unique and different from what we're used, you can always expect something dangerous and nasty to happen, but in this match there were some really bad executions, I'm not a very harsh person when it comes to the application of moves, but there were 2 or 3 ugly botches here, and it's impossible not to punish the match because of that. The ending was interesting though, with that little story between Nia and Tiffany, it was simple and effective, but not enough to save this one for me - {**}"
[6.0] "***1/4. This was good! I was surprised since this is the first Nia match I've watched since her return. Shes way way way better, helps for sure being with Bayley. All her offence looks great especially the lines. Stratton cash in tease was great as was the finish. Crowd was there."
[6.0] "Pretty solid. The match is basically the same as their Summerslam match in terms of the dynamic but the action was largely the same too, only this was a bit sloppier and rougher around the edges. Of course that's to be expected in every Nia match but here the fucked up a few things, most notably, Nia's weird huricanrana thing. Tiffany attempts a cash in near the end, but is thwarted by Bayley who is distracted long enough to allow Nia to take advantage and hit the annihilator to win. Basic David v Goliath stuff here but similarly to their last match it was reasonably well performed aside from a few botches. ***"
[7.0] "Nia Jax continues her road of improvement as she faced Bayley in a title defense for Jax. I thought Nia looked much better here than at Summerslam and she worked really hard in order to keep proving she's the most improved wrestler of 2024. Jax added some submission hold to her arsenal of moves and used Bayley's belly-to-belly at some point in the match. There was an attempt by Tiffany Stratton to cash in her briefcase but Nia eventually stopped Tiffy right in her tracks, but it may have been a distraction in disguise as Nia used Tiffany as a foil to retain over Bayley. Good stuff here."
[5.0] "[**1/2] I'm a bit conflicted about this match. I appreciate what they were aiming for, but the execution was so sloppy and unpolished that it was hard to enjoy it as much as I wanted to. Nia's botched hurricanrana, followed by Bayley's exaggerated selling, was genuinely hilarious and made it difficult to take the match seriously. Having to follow that clinic between Punk and McIntyre was an absolute crime. This match never stood a chance in comparison. That said, Nia's sit-up spot when Tiffany Stratton tried to cash in her Money in the Bank briefcase was fantastic and one of the few highlights. But overall, this wasn't a great match, unfortunately."
[6.0] "This match got the bad luck of being next to the banger of CM Punk vs Drew on that Hell In A Cell, It wasn't the best match but also It wasn't the worse of Nia, her reign as a champion only has me on because I'm looking for the cash in of Tiffany Stratton, which I was sure was going to happen last night, It didn't but Well the match was okay but I felt It like I didn't connect with It at all, until Tiffany appeared, I can't say I remember too much of it, and at this point Tiffany's cash in will be in WrestleMania. But still I'll give It 6/10 [***1/2]"
[3.0] "I really don't know what we're doing here. I've been critical of Nia's push since its start of the beginning of the year, as, even though she has improved, she's still coasting on being the Rock's cousin, and this match is another exhibit in the evidence folder. I did mention my hopes back in August that Jax would be a transitional champion, but with the glacial pace of the blue brand, we might be waiting until WrestleMania until Stratton gets to cash in. A lot has been made in recent weeks about how the booking of black wrestlers has gone downhill under Triple H - not really helped by him putting his foot in the mouth at the scrum - but less has been said about a likewise precipitous decline in the women's division. Because if Triple H "doesn't see colour" but "just sees talent"... then why are we getting subject to the same bad matches from Nia Jax almost a half decade later?"
[2.0] "I can't imagine HHH looked at Nia Jax try to do the world's worst hurricarana and thought to himself "Aw, yeah. It was a really great idea to put a brand's top prize on this nepo baby." Awful match, one so bad that not even the incredibly talented Bayley could salvage it, and the Stratton stuff really did even more harm than good. The only positives I really have to say is that Nia showed off some new submission holds in her early offense, and frankly, they were far better than what she normally does and the way she should really wrestle in the future."
[3.0] "I actually enjoyed their SummerSlam match quite a lot but this just did not resonate with me at all. It doesn't help that it had to follow Punk/McIntyre. Just horrifically predictable and a type of fake cash in done numerous times already last year with Priest and Balor. There was some botches and replayed spots from SummerSlam, which weren't executed as well and didn't get as good of a crowd reaction."
[4.0] "[2.0*] Not a good match by any means but at least this was not terribly booked like Rhea vs Liv. It had a couple of notable botches, with that awful Nia hurricanrana being the clear Top 1 and the ending with all that Tiffany stuff was just a way to prolong this feud but it actually hurt the match a little bit when she did not cash-in. One of Nias weakest big matches since her return, this just was not it."
[2.0] "This was not good at all. It was all over the place. Very sloppy, timing wise, they were way off, their chemistry is non-existant. One of the worst matches of Bayleys career, and to the surprise of no one, it wasnt even her fault. She tried her best, she tried really hard, but what can you do after all, when Nia Jax is your opponent. I give it one star for Bayleys performance."
[4.0] "One thing that I had clearly criticized at Summerslam, Nia Jax seems to have taken to heart, namely that she is in much better physical shape than she was in Cleveland. At least that's my impression. If only it had an effect on her technical skills. So many things go wrong in the first few minutes that you can only get annoyed. It's not Bayley's fault, of course, because in fact this match, for all its shortcomings, is still on a relatively acceptable course for a long time and even better than her previous PLE encounter. Until Tiffy-Time lets the last bit of aspiration and hope out of this story like Pennywise letting air out of a red balloon. Thanks Bayley for trying. It wasn't meant to be. Just barely not terrible then."
[7.0] "This was overall a success. Lots of fun inventive spots playing off Nia Jax's size. That hurricanrana reversal was the least convincing one I've ever seen but I at least applauded the effort. Jax was on point otherwise though, throwing Bayley around like a rag doll. I loved the moment she fell on the referee. They are playing up Tiffany cashing in a lot but I hope they wait because I want to see Jax get the dominant reign she always looked uncapable of having. Nifty little match between these two women."
[3.0] "This match was far sloppier than I expected. Just the chemistry and timing of these two just seemed wrong especially in the second half of the match. Clear that Nia was trying with the hurricarana and submission work, but it just did not hit for me. Tiffany Stratton was the best part of a match she was not in and that is very telling."
"Good thing I don't have to rate this match. It's in an impossible spot, after the Hell in a Cell Match. What can you do to make it memorable after such a war ? The whole moment with Tiffany Stratton and the ref bump and uncounted pin to protect Bailey were good. It was an okay match with some good spots and idea with some bad execution."
[3.0] "That was so dodgy and sloppy, oh my God. Poor Bayley had to work circles around Nia, not to only make it digestible, but to also protect herself from Jax's stiff and clumsy work. So many times when the commentators had no idea who got hit by a move, plus the crowd didn't care that much after Punk vs Drew."
[7.0] "This match was a solid showing for Nia Jax and a testament to how far shes come since her return. Nias work here, despite a few minor hiccups, was more polished and showed that shes grown as an in-ring performer. Her power-based offense looked strong and convincing, and her chemistry with Bayley made for a compelling matchup. Bayley did a fantastic job bumping and selling to make Nia look dominant, and their interactions felt much smoother compared to their previous encounters. One of the highlights was the integration of Tiffany Strattons Money in the Bank drama, which added an extra layer of tension and intrigue to the match. The briefcase tease at the end built anticipation and kept the crowd engaged. Nias reaction and control over the situation positioned her as a strong champion whos more aware of potential threats to her reign. Overall, this match was a step in the right direction for Nia, as it displayed her in a role that suits her strengths. While not a classic, it was a good midcard bout that laid the groundwork for future storylines. A solid 7/10 for showing Nias improvement and setting up the next chapter in the womens division."
[5.0] "This was a tale of two halves. The first half was very good with Nia hitting some great, hard hitting offense (including a nasty clothesline) on Bayley and looking like a dominant champion. Things were going well with the Bayley doing some good selling. But then after the 'Ranna attempt which was just not pretty at all, things seemed to fall apart. The sequences looked sloppier and far more telegraphed, the moves just looking overall weaker. I'm not sure what happened because I don't think anyone got hurt or knocked loopy, but things got off and just never recovered. It got so bad that even commentary wasn't sure what was going on at times (a supposed Samoan drop by Nia that was called as a takedown by Bayley). Having one of the oddest ref bumps I can remember was really the capper for what turned into a dismal match."
[5.0] "Ehh it was fine for what it was. Slightly worse than their summerslam encounter and it also had the unfortunate task of following that all timer of a cell match between punk and drew. The crowd mostly didnt care I didnt care it was what it was. Got a kick out of seeing nia hit a shitty rana and also the visual of nia squashing the ref but besides that I didnt enjoy this match much. The finish was pretty much the same as their summerslam match with tiffy running down for the cash in only for nia this time stopping it herself. Its whatever 2.75/5"
[5.0] "There were some incredibly sloppy spots and bad botches but I don't know... they were trying some ambitious stuff and I give them credit for that. And ultimately the crowd was into it throughout, which is a pretty big feat coming after that Cell match. The Nia rana counter was a clever idea in theory to play off their last match but didn't quite pan out. Still a lot of good stuff here just not executed smoothly. The Tiffany stuff was a good way to keep Bayley hot as a babyface (even if they were chanting for Tiffany during the match)."
[4.0] "in all honesty i think i enjoyed there summerslam match a little more. Just because there they didnt do to much that wasnt necessary or needed here they tried to do a lot of stuff nia has never done in a televised wrestling match and well it gave us a pretty sloppy match honestly. Loved the drama that tiffany and her briefcase added and cant wait to see when they actually pull that trigger. I expect tiffany to cash in honestly at crown jewel or at a smackdown leading up to it possibly. Not to sure what is next for bayley at all she has a good chance of being lost in the shuffle now unless they give us a naomi heel turn. 2 stars"
[7.0] "I enjoyed this a lot. This was slightly better than their Summerslam match. I loved all of the Tiffany Stratton/Money in the Bank drama which increases tensions between her and Nia Jax. Bayley played the underdog role pretty well here and Nia Jax absolutely proved that she has improved. Im interested to see what Bayley does after this as I don't realy know what to expect. As for Tiffany Stratton and Nia Jax I also cant wait to when Stratton eventually wins the Women's championship and this match did a really good job of making Nia more cautious about Stratton which could lead to some great segments."
[7.0] "Let's be honest, this was a TV match, maybe would've been better if it was a 3-Way match between Nia, Naomi and Bayley, but instead we got a pretty fun but not PLE worthy match, It was nice seeing Nia try some new things, a shame that a lot of the didn't go they way she thought, Bayley tried her best and to be honest the crowd was more into the match than I thought they would've been, they popped when Tiffany came, but of course in a Triple H booked show, this storyline has some weeks (or months) left"
[6.0] "Easy to compare this to their Summerslam bout and see how this is an obvious improvement. Felt a lot less predictable this time around, with the Tiff cash-in working its way neatly into the finish. While I still dont like how predictable the failed cash in was, the Nia sitting up spot was very effective. Really bothered by the fact it was the exact same finish as the Summerslam match overall though, even if it was a little better executed. Shame about Nias performance, with a few botches that took me out of the story being told."
"It's tough to follow up on what might as well be a MOTY candidate, especially that match being the opener, but it didn't necessarily dwindle the momentum of the PPV. This match was pretty much on par to any match Nia is involved in, but Bayley working her ass off made the match a little more worth it than it would've been. It felt more of an exhibition match than it did a championship match because of the uneven amount of work both put into this match but it was still a pretty decent match. One thing I will say is that Tiffany should've betrayed Nia right then and there instead of hesitating, that would've added an amazing factor to a match that unfortunately didn't do an equal amount of justice as their Summerslam match. 5.5/10"
[4.0] "Bayley was absolutely working her socks off, such a committed, brilliantly structured and intensely likeable babyface performance. However, Nia gave her absolutely nothing to work with, kept messing up moves (the botched hurricanrana (? ) was a true sight to behold) and honestly looked like she was sandbagging her at some point. Was a big fan of their SummerSlam match but this did not function as a world title match, as things kept going wrong, culminating in one of the silliest looking ref bumps Ive ever seen and some tired MITB fake-outs. I did laugh a lot watching with my friend so I was entertained, but it wasnt a very good match."
[8.0] "**** (08/10) Such a hard task for any of the fights to follow the epic opener between Punk and Drew. Even harder was it for Bayley and Nia to have to come on right after the first fight. Nia was looking kind of sloppy in the beginning, and the crowd was a bit drained from the night's opening frenzy that you could hear Bayley carrying Nia and calling spots. But as the fight progressed, so did the chemistry and work-rate of the two. I was really hoping it would end with Tiffy cashing in. That didn't happen, and Nia retained. Maybe Tiffy will follow Nia's advice and cash-in on Liv. Oh, wait!"
[4.0] "Maybe it's just me, but this really did not work for me. Bayley tried, she really did, but almost every other move looked botched and bizarrely landed. Nia put in a very phoned-in and not very compelling performance even by her standards, I'm shocked how sloppy this match felt. Then there was the Tiffany cash-in angle after one of admittedly the most unique ref bumps I've ever seen in a match, that got thwarted by Nia catching her in the act. This was fine, but I don't think I like seeing the same angle repeated over and over like this, reminded me of how Priest kept teasing every other match last year before finally getting it. **"
[6.0] "Bayley losing the exact same way that she lost at SummerSlam was so lame. The only way I can see her getting her heat back is if she finally learns not to let Tiffany Stratton get involved and then beats Nia Jax clean, but there'd have to be a compelling reason why she'd get another title shot. This was a better match than at SummerSlam, and Jax has improved a good deal, but doing the same finish almost beat for beat loses the same amount of marks. Makes Bayley look so dumb. I'm fearing they're killing time until Charlotte Flair returns."
[8.0] "Was a very solid title defense. Bayley looked solid in this match had a very good showing. Nia Jax I don't know what happened but she has been putting together a lot of solid matches since her return to WWE last year she looked very good in this match. Tiffany Stratton teased a cash in it looked like she was about to finally cash in after months of holding on to the briefcase until Nia Jax's popped up and saw what had happened which allowed Nia Jax's to get Bayley and retain her championship. Very solid title defense, the story being told for Nia Jax's & Tiffany Stratton is very interesting and will progress as months fly by and soon we'll see a babyface Tiffany Stratton."
"Exactly what you expect a Nia Jax match to be like, which isnt really a bad thing. It was botchy at some points but it was a decent match. And they had the difficult job or following up on Punk and Drew so I cant blame them for being put in a terrible spot. 3.25 stars"
