He hits his finisher early on on the apron and I had to listen to the commentary to know that is his finisher as it was slightly botched, then hits again and refuses to pin Thom... Thom worked well with EC3 but it was at a snail pace. Pretty enjoyable but forgettable. Congrats for Thom, finally the crowd reacted in the end for the new champion! |

These two have never felt to have the best chemistry together despite a lot of history together but EC3 worked over Latimer for quite some time hitting a couple of One Percenters early on including one on the apron. EC3 did hit a dive at one point which was a bit surprising. EC3 got between the referee/Latimer and mule kicked Latimer but was unable to score the pin. EC3 introduced a chair into the ring to sit in and taunt Latimer. The referee removed it with Latimer hitting a low blow of his own and a pair of pop up powerbombs to win the match. An OK match that suffered from a lack of a dynamic for the fans to get more invested in despite EC3 trying to heel it up a bit in the match. |

I particularly enjoyed commentary tell us EC3 is the Over Man while you can hear someone on the third row open a packet of sour skittles. Speaking of snacks, EC3 increasingly looks like a slice of Toblerone. Commentary spend the first half laying it on embarrassingly thick bout the journey Thom Latimer has been on (DO NOT MENTION THE ALLEGATIONS, I REPEAT DO NOT MENTION THE ALLEGATIONS). He was lost apparently. While one of the dullest matches of all time is taking place, commentary tell us among other things that the "the pace seems a bit lumbering.....a chess match....methodical...ain't always pretty" which is commentator code for fucking shit. Commentary also tell us that EC3 doesn't cum, whether because of steroids or a weird life choice is left to the audience to decide. I slowly lost my fucking mind watching this. Just doesn't make sense, it is like a CD that is full of scratches and a song keep skipping at random. I don't know where to begin because I have already wasted more time on this than any normal well adjusted person would. Thom Latimer cries post match, pal I know how you feel. |

The ropes look extremely loose, so much so that in the early going of the match, neither Latimer or EC3 will actually hit the ropes for running spots, they just turn before them and run back. EC3 is looking like an old man at this point, struggling to walk or get up without assistance. There is a pop for the result, mainly because it feels unexpected, but whether either of these men should be NWA World Champion is definitely something for debate. |
