The first 10 minutes had very basic work and it was pretty uninteresting, but Nomura would bring some excitement in his exchanges with Omori and later on with Menso-re. Omori is kind of broken down, and Menso-re is a pretty goofy gimmick, but Nomura managed to work well with them, showing off his trademark angsty babyface fire to liven things up. Aoyagi is an incredibly bubbly kid who I always want to support, but sadly he either never gets enough time to show off his full potential or he just squanders what little time he does get. That was the case here, as he was endearing with how energetic and desperate he was, yet his offence and actual character was still quite lacking, which held him back. The finishing stretch was fun, with Omori and Menso-re getting a few close calls over Nomura, but that wasn't enough to make up for the first half being so dull. **3/4 |

They throw out an apron piledriver in the first couple minutes, big danger that meant little in the big picture. Lots of "fighting spirit" stuff too, standing around waiting to get punched. I honestly didn't think that much of it, some good action but nothing I'd recommend seeking out. |
