[3.0] "It wasn't disastrous, but wow, that match was boring. And yet, they're not bad wrestlers at all - it just clearly wasn't up to the level you'd expect from them, especially Aleister Black."
[4.0] "This is only match without a story and I wasn't intrested about it, but I don't think that the match was bad. Pretty mid wrestling and Black's victory is good."
[4.0] "People are finally realizing what has been the case all along. Matt Cardona just isn't very good in the ring. This was just incredibly heatless and boring. Felt like it was in gear one the whole time which is never going to work considering I never had much interest for this in the first place. It's also probably the worst singles match Aleister has had since returning to WWE."
[2.0] "This match genuinely went 9 minutes too long. Aleister should have came out there, black mass, 1 2 3. They were trying to play the "oh matt cardona has a broken hand" stuff out way too long and it was just plain bad. The crowd also just didnt care about this match and I dont blame them. Both these guys especially Aleister can do so much more than what theyre doing right now on smackdown and the terrible match they put on a few nights ago."
[5.0] "Don't really have a clue what they're doing with Aleister Black or why they're handing them these throwaway wins for what exact reason since he doesn't even have a spot in the WM card and meanwhile Zack Ryder returned just to be a jobber."
[2.0] "Why was this even a match? We could've slotted Ilja Dragunov or Rey Fenix. Matt Cardona being involved in the Cody Rhodes & Randy Orton story made sense, noting he's one of Cody Rhodes' best friends. But this thing with Aleister Black, he's like Karrion Kross being the guy who predicts downfalls. But Aleister Black, I mean, he's still decent, but this match had no flow, and the chemistry wasn't there at all. Aleister Black wins, but this match was not needed. Could've done a backstage segment and left it at that."
[5.0] "Quite a few miscommunications in this. Match was second fiddle to the Randy orton story when listening to commentary. Cardona is here with an injured hand and that plays the biggest role in the match. Very average match, used to way better and faster action from black. It kinda feels like you know more about the product than commentary, by just watching last weeks episode. Cardona is doing a good job selling the arm. Black mass/masque is a bit of a boring finish for an arm story but okay nontheless"
[4.0] "Why is Matt Cardona putting himself through this whole process all over again? Hasn't he been humiliated enough by this company? The matches are a bit longer, but the results are the same as always. There's a fair amount of action, but you don't get the sense that Black is really breaking a sweat here."
[2.0] "If this match happened in 2021 or 22 it actually may have been really good. As it stands, they're both over 40 and in a rut in WWE going nowhere very slowly. I hope the money was worth it."
[5.0] "Black's work was very slick and crisp, Matt was totally fine. The wrestling in this one was of a good standard. Cardano is a flat character so there is no interest in him or this feud, but that shouldn't detract from their work, which was rock solid if unspectacular."
[3.0] "So that's a third boring and bland match in a row for this episode of Smackdown. It was painfully slow as well and the match seemed to save no real purpose other than filling in some minutes towards the three hour run time ."
[4.0] "Even for a midcard match, it was quite boring. Time was given, but little of note was shown. In-ring quality: 0.5/4. Stakes: 0.5/2. Justification: 0.5/1. Card placement: 1/1. Suspense: 0.25/1. Bonus/Penalty: None. Total: 3.75/10. Match watched on Netflix (FR)."
[3.0] "How have they done it? How have they made Matt Cardona boring? ! This was boring. Frighteningly bland. Slower than toddler rebuilding an engine. The crowd could be heard talking amongst themselves. Having what felt like a 35 year ad break mid way through hasn't helped. Fudge me."
[2.0] "So boring. Matt Cardona is one of the worst signings in recent memory and has been made to be a joke. Combine that with a dimeless Aleister and you get this shit. Wepa man should've came out and chokeslammed both of them to lead into the tag team match"
[3.0] "Unbelievably boring match. I usually like Aleister Black and I thought Matt Cardona would make for an okay albeit forgettable match, but man this was just 9 minutes of Aleister doing basic limb targeting and then hitting a black mass. This one felt way longer than 9 minutes considering how little they did"
