Knight winning was a bit of a forgone conclusion for me, though, as per usual, it didn't take away from this match for me. Knight is able to put on some fun matches at times, and this was an example of that."

[7.0] "I wasn't really expecting this to go as hard as it went, and I got to tell you, I liked this even more than any of the Melo vs Andrade matches. This speaks so well about LA Knight in the ring. He is not among the best in-ring workers of the game, but dude is still quite underrated on that matter. He is beyond solid and is able to put on a pretty good show, deliver strong moves, surprising spots and even recovering from botches like a pro. Andrade doesn't surprise anyone here, his game was always superb and he was more than a great dance partner for the champion. My biggest concern going into this match is how could they come out of this without making the Andrade vs Melo series mean absolutely nothing. Well, I feel really relieved after how the match didn't do Andrade dirty despite losing cleanly and how they kept the feud between those two open with the backstage brawl. They're doing a pretty good job booking this story right here. Only thing it needs is pushing forward and deliver even more than what they're already doing in the ring (*** 3/4)"

This is basically a moves match and until the very end, tthat route not only rocks the house but more surprisingly, works in Knight's favour. Offensively, he's able to hang in there, actually providing the burst that takes things up a notch. Opposite him, Andrade is obviously fabulous, gifted enough to overcome any miscues with sheer quality and poise. Good match that never really makes sense but kicks ass nonetheless, a quirky one. ***1/4"

A great paced match with Knight's in-ring work exponentially growing since Summerslam, but a litany of botches at the end kind of soured it. Nice save though with Andrade throwing him off, jumping, missing, then losing via BFT."

I think when LA fumbled superplex spot twice and Andrade smartly knocked him down on his third attempt, it pissed LA Knight off. He even started bleeding from his eyebrows or something. Andrade extended his hand before the match and after the match. But LA refused to shake his hands after the match probably because he was legit mad or maybe he was acting. That was a little awkward but the match was very fun. Andrade needs a spokesperson for him."

The ending was super well anticipated, and had many dramatic moments. LA Knight "botched" the climb there, but it's a very small mistake and in my opinion even helped the match, because they were selling struggle, and this made it look like it was difficult to execute the moves they wanted - {***1/4}"

[7.0] "[3.25*] I really enjoy everything about LA Knight as a wrestler, he has such an old school aura where moves considered simple and basic like a Powerslam have such a high energy, it is just great. Andrade just can not do a bad match too, so with 17-minutes it was a complete blast. Unfortunately LA botched (again) that spot where he runs directly to the third rope, but it was a hoot."

The last five minutes were very good and a big improvement over what happened before. I wish the rest of the match was more like it. There wasn't much doubt that Knight would retain and he gets the win with a BFT. 6.5/10"

Don't get me wrong, both men went into this match with something to prove and came out with a fine and respectable effort. However, I really just don't think that this was anything special."

[8.0] "A very good title defense probably LA Knight best to date. Andrade is just one of the best talents in the world today every match he has is must watch because of the moves he puts on, and how he wows you with the unbelievable moments. LA Knight got the upper hand and defeated Andrade in a very good match. Afterwards they shook hands and that was that."
Maui wrote on 22.09.2024:
[7.0] "An ok or even solid Title defense by LA Knight. It was your typical LA Knight match, but Andrade managed to get out of him more. The audience wasn't sure who to cheer for and that's always a good sign of tension in the ring. Despite the double-botch in a few seconds, both guys managed to make it look, like just part of the storyline inside the ring. Why, was this in the opener and not the main event'Stupid decision."

[6.0] "This was a really nice match with solid action and it proved that LA Knight can go in the ring especially against someone like Andrade who is a true workhorse. It never was amazing but the pace was good and this was exactly what we can expect from the two on a weekly, fluid and pleasant - ***1/4+"

[7.0] "Good match and title defense for LA Knight. It is the kind of match that will put more importance on the IC title for those vying for it. Knight unfortunately slipped on his leap to the top rope suplex that he normally hits well but was able to put Andrade away with the BFT."

They get a this is awesome chant but this match is pretty darn regular. LA Knight misses the jump up to the turnbuckle pretty badly but they recover from it pretty well. Something weird happens when LA asks for a fist bump at the end. Some decent stuff in this match but Knights botchiness and weak looking strikes brought it down some."

[8.0] "Match of the night of course and I have to say that it was even better than expected, I've never been a big fan of LA Knight before but I have to say that this year he's really stepped up his game, especially since his feud with AJ Styles. His in-ring work is better and here he was up against one of the best in Andrade so the two of them clicked really well, we saw some great action with some good nearfalls and the crowd was into it. Surprised by the clean finish, but I'm sure we'll see more matches between them in the future."
