On the bad side, both Kyle/Trent (previsibly) and Mack/Gargano (surprisingly) left me uninterested, while Younger/Ryan devolved into stupidity that the crowd loved but felt hokey and fake to me, and Cage/Ciampa was vastly uneven as they spent the core of the match at half-speed, only to then start no-selling multiples German Suplexes in a row in a puzzling match. In the middle of the pack. On the plus side, the opener was a perfect comedy match all the way, Fox/Strong delivered solid action with a generous time allocation, ACH made a magnificent debut showcasing his mind-blowing innovative offense, Swann/Elgin was an ultrafun match that used both men strenghts and popularity to their fullest and the 6-men main event was solid wrestling. The slew of poor matches and the fact that many great prospect got eliminated early puts a ceiling on this show and cast doubt on the rest of the tournament, but make no mistake about it their is some nice enjoyment to be found in there. |

| 8 | 11.07.2014 | Sandmann | 8.0 | Guter erster Tag beim BOLA 2013. Steen und Taylor verprügeln erstmal eine Mütze was urkomisch ist. Großartiges Comedymatch. Da ist die Crowd direkt in der Show. Alles super. Cage vs. Ciampa zerstören sich dann munter, was kurze Zeit wirklich so echt wirkt das man schon Angst hat Cage hätte sich verletzt. Großartig. Gargano vs. Mack war gut hatte nur leider für mich den falschen Sieger. Strong choppt Fox quer durch die Halle, doch dieser wehrt sich mit einigen Highflying Aktionen. Gutes Match von Fox. So langsam macht er sich. Younger und Ryan sind großartig. Die Halle rastet aus als die Gummibärchen ins Spiel kommen. Großartig. ACH vs. Nese ist dann einfach recht Spotty. Aber mit einer Sauberkeit der Spots die sich gewaschen hat. Sehr nettes Match. Trent kopiert viele Moves was ihm Heat einbringt. O'Reily mit schönen Submissions. Elgin vs. Swann hat mir auch gefallen. Bestes Match des Abends. Netter Danceoff und dann wird Swann von Elgin schön durch die Gegen geworfen. Der Main Event ist dann wo wrestlerischen ganz ok aber die Hooligans haben wie immer das Problem das man nicht weiß ob man ihnen zujubeln oder sie ausbuhen soll. Einziger Face für mich in dem Match ist TJP. Das erzeugt leider eine komische Stimmung im Main Event, aber ansonsten ist es ok. |

Der comedylastige Opener ist nicht so unbedingt mein Ding, aber danach folgt wirklich ein starkes Match nach dem Anderen. Wirklich herausheben kann ich da eigentlich kein einzelnes der Turniermatches. Der Mainevent bietet dann noch Multi Men-Chaos der spektakulären Sorte und ist ein würdiger Abschluss des Abends. |

Apart from the worrying concussion to Brian Cage which affected his match and made it a bit awkward, it was fun from start to finish. ACH burst onto the scene and had a great match with Anthony Nese, Trent? started showing how underutilised he was in WWE and we saw some hilarious spots from Drake Younger and Joey Ryan (I won't ruin them here, buy the DVD! ). The main event was exciting but not as brilliant as some of the six-man bouts PWG have had recently. PWG showed that despite the loss of many top stars over the last year they can still find fresh talent who can keep up the break-neck pace of their shows. |
| 12 | 04.10.2013 | Eddie | 9.0 | Steen und Taylor bringen mich mit ihrer Comedy zum weinen vor Lachen, unfassbar genial, 10/10 Comedy Punkte. Cage und Ciampa stiffen sich übel weg, man hat schon befürchtet, Cage hat sich verletzt, doch es war zum Glück nur Story, 7/10. Mack gegen Gargano ist mein persönliches Dream Match! Sie machen ihre Sache auch sehr gut und überzeugen auf voller Linie mit geilem Upset, 8/10. Fox gegen Strong ist auch cool. Strong lässt sich auf die Flüge von Fox nicht ein und wirft ihn durch den Ring mit Backbreakern und Chops, Fox kommt zurück, fliegt, passt, 7/10. Younger und Ryan wiederholen ihr QPW Match mit Süßigkeiten und Lego-Steinen als „Waffen“, 7/10. Nese und ACH haben verstanden, was PWG Fans wollen und bieten ein richtig geiles Spotfest mit cooler Story, 8/10. Trent und O'Reilly haben ein solides Match mit irre guter Finish-Phase, 7/10. Swann und Elgin beginnen mit einem Dance-Off! Awesome. Richtig starkes Powerhouse vs. Highflyer Match und für mich MOTN und MG-würdig, 8/10. Excalibur spricht mir aus der Seele, wenn er genervt sagt „we have seen that spot three weeks ago“. Six Man ist ok, dank der Hooligans aber sehr vorhersehbar, 7/10. Insgesamt eine fantastische Show Guter Stilmix, obwohl es PWG ist und absolut starke Kämpfe, 9 Punkte. |
