[1.0] "Night one is completely uneventful and full of long drawn out promos and segments involving Todd Morton and Ian. This one point is for Puppet and Teo for putting on a much better match than this show deserved."
[4.0] "Match 1 - Nice hiptoss exchange and double clothesline onto the tacks at the start. Brutal tack bats shots and suplex on the ground. Tony & Kid worked well together. Nice opener that didn't go on for too long. Served its purpose and got the tournament off to a good start. Quite a surprise for the champion to be eliminated in the first round though. Alister Fear vs Todd Morton took too long to get going and wasn;t that interesting. Teo vs Puppet wasnt that long of a match but enjoyable and memorable for sure. Puppet's characters great. Nice spots and near falls, and both guys beat the hell out of each other. A match like this had never been seen in IWA before and I dont even think had really been seen in the US before. Manslaughter vs Richard X started off as a decent big guy squash match. Once the gimmicks got involved it became kinda sloppy. The sitout spinebuster from the 2nd was insane. Overall though I thought Manslaughter was a good big man in this. Axl vs Honkey was just Axl Rotten hitting Uncle Honkey with stuff. One sided and no structure. Ian Rotten vs Mark Wolf was just Ian stiffing Mark Wolf and a really shitty finish. Todd Morton kind of just stuck something into Ians forehead and Wolf pinned him. Corp vs Starr was probably Delilah Starrs best match but she's still terrible. She can't even make swinging a weapon look good, let alone wrestle good. Fair play to her though, she took a beating and probably got the best colour in this tournament so far. Rollin vs Cash Flo was an average hardcore match. The lightube bumps towards the end were nice. Decent main event."
[2.0] "Day one of KOTDM 2000 is not a good start, especially when most of the tournament matches were out done by Puppet, who In fact is actually really fun to watch. The stand outs were all in the first two matches, it went downhill from there."
[4.0] "2 Tuff Tony/Suicide Kid: *** (Tony has always been one of the better death match wrestlers. Suicide Kid had a bunch of potential that was taken away due to injury. Best match on the show, wish this was the main-event and was given more time) Allister/Morton: ** ¼ (Todd Morton makes everything better) Puppet/Teo: ** (Puppet is an absolute entertainment machine) Manslaughter/Richard X: ¼ * (Terrible combination of wrestlers, with Manslaughter desperately wanting to be Super Leather but instead just being laughable and unintimidating. ) Axl Rotten/Uncle Honky: DUD (No effort from Axl, which is understandable considering the absolute shithole of a ‘wrestler’ he was facing. Has to be seen to be understood how terrible Uncle Honky was. ) Mark Wolf/Ian Rotten: ¾ * (One of Wolf’s first matches, Ian just kills him, not only with brutal weapon shots, but with wrestling moves as well. Would have been a fun squash if not for the weird ending. I get what they were going for, but Ian should have moved on to Night 2) Corporal Robinson/Delilah Starr: minus * (Just disturbing and pointless. If the internet was like it is now back in 2000, the shit Delilah Starr went through would have put IWA out of business. Just garbage trash with a guy beating the bloody fuck out of a totally unathletic female, who, in her post match promo, talks about having 5 kids. And why would you want them to see you get fucking lighttubes broken on you before you get racked with a steel chair shot to just get beaten? Mickie Knuckles and LuFisto and women like that are at least WRESTLERS. Delilah Starr was just some ring rat looking woman getting permanent brain damage for zero reason whatsoever. Also, another pointless fucking finish) Rollin’ Hard/Cash Flo: ** ½ (Rollin’ Hard was never a good wrestler, more of a backyarder than anything, but he was vaguely entertaining and was in his ‘prime’ if you wish to call it that here. Cash Flo was a pretty damn good talent back in the day. Decent enough match."
