[6.0] "As a first show it was correct, but we can asked for more, but it's a nice start for the promotion call PRO WRESTLING NOAH."

[7.0] "I was genuinely surprised by how much overall I enjoyed this show. I'd say this was pretty solid for an opening affair. I know this show is looked upon as a huge deal considering the massive mass exodus/Departure (roll credits) of these talent from All Japan. Almost a completely decent show from top to bottom here if it wasn't for the second match; I didn't really like that six man. That first six man and No Fear losing on this opening show are my big complaints from this opening show. I haven't committed to trying to watch the whole library of NOAH shows or anything but I will at least be watching Departure #2; especially after enjoying this show."

[6.0] "Overall this show is okay. The significance of it is what makes it special. The card is average and the matches are okay but honestly the standout of this show is the very beginning when Misawa and Kobashi and Taue and Akiyama and the other guys who came to Noah are all just standing in the ring with the music playing and the crowd is cheering, it gives me goose bumps. This is the very beginning and obviously Noah was not formed in the most stable conditions so I don't think we can expect this show to be amazing, but it's special and definitely apart of history. Also peep Sugiura holding the ropes for everyone when they're all walking out of the ring in the beginning."

[7.0] "The first NOAH show ever and while it's not a barnburner there is a lot to like here. I thought Morishima and Hashi showed a lot of potiential in the opener, Marufuji looked great in the third match and while the co-main goes too long it's still solid. The main event is great, very solid 20 minute with match with great booking to make Jun Akiyama look like a million bucks. Whole show comes in under 2 hours too!"

[4.0] "This is basically a one man show in the main event, which is still fairly good, but not worth watching the rest of the card to get to in the first place. The main issue is pacing: almost all of the matches here are way, way, too long, especially for the Young Lion bouts which had guys who had maybe a year or two training going for near 20+ bouts. For obvious reasons, they can't pull this off very effectively and these matches come off as clunky and not very organic at all, even if the talent in them would eventually become good to fantastic performers in their own right. The 6-man comedy bout match is exactly the same stuff you'd see in 90's AJPW and completely skippable. The six man tag prior to the main event is alright, but outside of some good strikes, not a lot of heat on this at all. Ogawa being here despite not really fitting in is quite baffling. All in all, pretty weak for a opening, even if this did sell out purely because of hype. Wouldn't recommend."
