[5.0] "Lynn vs. La Parka easily stole the show; crisp, energetic, and the only match that truly felt complete and purposeful. Everything else suffered from pacing issues, awkward booking, or simply lacking the spark needed to elevate the card. The main event being so short was especially baffling. On most MLW cards (and wrestling shows in general), the main event is the longest, most stacked match of the night. Here, it felt like an afterthought; rushed, flat, and offering none of the big-fight atmosphere the promotion aimed for. Bam Bam Bigelow no-showing hurt the crowd badly. You could feel the disappointment ripple through the building; fans were clearly excited to see him, and given how heavily MLW advertised his appearance, you have to wonder how much they invested for absolutely no payoff. The absence left a huge void the show never recovered from. And really, if you're a Shane Douglas fan, this was basically a tribute night. He was treated like the franchise centrepiece from start to finish. If you're not into Douglas, though, the booking probably came off as indulgent and tone-deaf to the rest of the card's needs. A show with one standout match, several forgettable ones, and booking decisions that worked against the crowd's interests more often than not."
