[5.0] "Man I forgot how good Caprice Coleman was because that opener was so good. The dvd had Mondo vs. RIchards next and it was fine. I was more interesting in how Mondo looked then the actual match. You can tell he's trying to separate himself from his WWE gimmick. Four corner survival had four of the best ROH guys that the company had ever seen znd it wad a fun match. Battle Of the radio guys was boring and I didn't which was a shame because The Briscoes are here. Jay Lethal would have better matches with Elgin in the future do skipping test match won't do any harm. Kevin Steen vs. Edward's was match of the night. They stole the thunder from yhe Texas deathmatch in my opinion."

[4.0] "Only one dud on the card but nothing special, you do get the vibe ROH have really walked knee deep into a period of blandness now too with all the eggs in the basket of Steen who seemed to get a bigger pop than anyone else that night. Opener was decent high flying action. Four way was pretty messy and like most ROH four ways it eventually becomes too hard to follow and I tuned out barring an awesome looking over the rope suplex done by Whitmer and O'Reilly (very similar to the Whitmer/Jacobs powerbomb spot). Richards and Mondo was an OK match and didn't drag too much which I thought it might. The radio war (Briscoes V...whatever the fuck that team is) was appalling. 8 minutes felt like 18 as the two "radio hosts" threatened to duke it out and never did. Lethal and Elgin was fine but forgettable entirely. Steen and Edwards really, really began to drag by the end as it was clear Edwards had no chance against Steen anyway. The main event was why I picked up this show, and mainly why I found it so disappointing. A Texas Death match with Charlie Haas is certainly not something you'd expect to see on a matchguide, but it was really just a tame hardcore match with barely any use of the classic Texas Death count gimmick. It sounds harsh but I've honestly seen better hardcore matches at my local indie fed which isn't great as ROH were now professional at this point, I do get the whole notion of in Cornette's words "Not every ROH show can be Starrcade 86" but the appeal of ROH was every show had the potential for a hidden gem, this show really did have nothing in regards to that."
