The CZW Tag Team Championship Match looked good on paper but felt weird in practice, with all the focus being on the floundering Runaways/BLKOUT feud that should have ended at its peak last year, while the champions looked invisible and get a victory that feels like a fluke. Masada/Cole felt like a mismatch, but they used their abilities to craft a simple yet very effective wrestling match that builds up on their dynamic and made the crowd rabid for the ending, reaping huge rewards. The trios match was rather weak and monotone for me, but the crowd seemed very into it. Yim/Excellent was wild and bold, finally delivering on this feud, establishing Mia Yim as a credible wrestler and is the reason why their stupid feud is so well-regarded. Osbourne/Evers was nothing more than a glorified dark match, but at least for once it came to completion and gives Kit Osbourne and much deserved victory after years of jobbing duties. Callihan/Drake was a very solid match despite the wacky ending, starting the Callihan/Drake feud that would rejuvenate Drake Younger? s career. The CZW World Heavyweight Championship Match was laboriously setup, pretty dull and monotone in execution, had heavy shenanigans towards the ending and a rather casual finish, starting Masada's historic title reign in very lackluster fashion. The main event was fun, but not nearly as spectacular or important as advertised, it had badly layed out eliminations that felt unimportant and a rather abrupt ending that felt anticlimactic. The show has a lot of strong matches going and some good story development, but it all feels stunted and a bit amateurish in bouts, making for a good show that does not truly break out. |
| 3 | 21.10.2014 | sign squad | 4.0 | Von der Action her wars ganz nett. Main Event viel zu schnell mit den Eliminierungen, da hatte echt gar nichts mehr Bedeutung. Spektakulär schon, aber auch recht unsauber und bischen lieblos das ganze. Four Way netter Chaos Brawl der überraschend schnell vorbei war. Ging OK für mich (*1/4). Callian vs. Younger das übliche übertriebenen rumgespotte ohne Psychologie und Selling, fand ich ganz ordentlich (**). Excellent vs. Yim - geht einfach nicht. Ich hab keinen Spaß daran zu sehen, wie ein fetter Brecher wie ich eine weitaus körperlich unterlegene Frau wegstifft mit Chops. Ich habe keinen Spaß daran zu sehen, wie eine unterlegenen Frau einen dicken Kerl suplext, weil es verdammt extrem unglaubwürdig ist. Ich habe keinen Spaß daran zuzusehen, wie sich diese beiden versuchen umzubringen für eine Fehde, die nicht im Main Event endet, die random auf der Card steht, die zwar Stimmung gemacht hat aber an der beide nur verlieren konnten. Six Man ging OK (**), Cole vs Masada grotten langweilig und Masada hatte die ganze Zeit so einen genervten Gesichtsausdruck drauf (*1/2). Opener und Three Way fand ich beide simpel gesagt nicht gut. |

Von Anfang bis Ende strake Matches, vor allem Callihan gegen Younger und die unglaubliche(! ) Schlacht zwischen Mia Yim und Greg Excellent (mit schönem Nachspiel). Den Punkt Abzug gibt es nicht wegen der Matches, einzig wegen einer schwachen Booking-Entscheidung: Wieso bekommt MASADA den Titel als Überraschung? Man wartet schon seit Monaten darauf, dass er World Champ wird und hätte mit einem offiziellen Match ein größeres Publikum (und mehr Bedeutung für den Gewinn) erreichen können. So verschenkt DJ leider weiterhin große Draws. Doch genug gemeckert. Die Show war geil. |
