[6.0] "Absolutely surreal show, if not exactly a good one but at least an interesting one so better than many of the ECW episodes so far. Starts with a solid no DQ tag match, probably the best any ECW originals have been allowed to look so far even in a loss. Punk debuts and the ROH savvy crowd is very much behind him, notable moment. An almost out the door Angle squashes Brooklyn Brawler. Then the main event, one of the most bizarre in WWE history as they trot out Batista and Big Show to have a horrible match that the crowd utterly despises, with a truly terrible finish as well. At least Sabu gets a good reaction when he finally comes out but I can't imagine many original ECW fans remained interested in this."

[6.0] "An above average show for this incarnation of ECW, which isn't saying much. The Extreme Tag Team Match was alright for the most part, Punks debut is interesting to look back on, and was probably match of the night. Paul Heyman sweating like a pig was also an interesting one, perhaps he knew how well the main event would go over with this crowd. The answer being - not very. Though the crowd elevated a poor main event and turned it into a spectacle, Big Show's in match promo was on par with Hard Times (both the Dusty promo and Big Boss Man's theme). The Sabu run-in was a nice way to close out an otherwise terrible main event."

[7.0] "Fun episode. Incredible opening tag match, that obliterated my expectations in the best way, will be a match I'll be recommending to people going forward. We have CM Punk's debut in this episode and looking at this knowing where he'll end up within WWE, is fascinating. Already, even at this point in his career, he's at a whole other level over most of this shows roster. A little entertaining squash match featuring Kurt Angle, it's refreshing to see him back, his absence was noticeable. The main event is infamous for how bad it was, but still worth watch just for the spectacle of it all"

[6.0] "I thought the pacing of this show was mostly solid also not to mention, this Hammerstein/NYC croud was fucking electric throughout the entire night and basically hijacked the main event in what I thought was a pretty hallarious turn of events. This show is the first one to have that slightly classic ECW feel(minus Batista). The opening bout even had some barbedwire. I'm gonna keep this review short and sweet cus not to much happened other then CMPunk debuting and a post match Sabu attack onto Big Show. KNOXandTEST/SANDMANandDREAMER-3*. CMPUNK/CREDIBLE-2*. [6.0] "Wow, this crowd was red hot for the entire show. The opening bout was actually decent minus the spanking. CM Punk made his debut in a competitive match against Credible which was fun. More of the Heyman & Sabu stuff which I enjoy. Angle vs Brawler was a brief affair. The main event... where do I begin? The crowd did NOT care whatsoever to the point of chanting "you both suck" and "change the channel. " The match itself was yet another plodding ECW title defense for the Big Show and was really bad which brought this episode from a 7 to a 6."
