Russo explains as Booker T wasn't in the match as Russo was going to lay down for Stiener. If MJF did this word for word, the IWC would love it. Russo tries to leave, but Bookers out, decends into brawl Scott/Jarrett/Sting/Booker, which takes out Stevie Ray, so Jeremy Borash gets subbed onto commentary. NBT (Sanders, O'Haire, Jindrak) vs Jung Dragons w/Leia Meow, NBT join commentary leaving Sanders 1 on 4 as Meow takes off the 8 inch heals (possible borrowed from Midajah) for top rope thesz press to Sanders for the win, better than expected. NBT beat down Dragons. Animals are upset with disco and his duck for booking Juvey vs. Rey. Lava lamp lounge Awesome introduces the contestants in WCW bikini contest (Tigress, Torrie, Gunns & Paisley) audio issues, Chea and Chiquita come out and reveal Awesome wasn't the judge all along and gets beaten up, cause... 2000. Scott Steiner shouts a lot and asks Midajah for "relief, cause... 2000. Vince Russo tune up match vs. "The Masked heel." Crowd hates Russo as he works a "hogan" match until "heel" no sells offence and it's... Stevie Ray, who takes him out with the slapjack. Russo tells Kronik to take out Stevie Ray or their fired. Rey & Juvey want Disco out of the Animals. Torrie vs. Paisley (Douglas & Kwee-wee join coms but ends up brawling) Paisley wins in short order but gets Franchiser, Tigress in for save, but Konan has to save her. Russo has a job for Sanders. Team Canada is out threatening to throw the American flag in the bin, MIA comes down and gets a Canadian beat down, great stuff. Sanders steals a forklift truck and uses it to block Booker T in his dressing room. Jarrett and Mean Gene bicker, Jarrett promises to take Sting out. Stevie Ray vs. Kronik, Slick Johnson's back stealing focus, crowd pretty dead. Russo is pissed off that Kronik only beat, not injured, Stevie Ray. Rey vs. juvey, which a 2023 audience would enjoy, the crowd in 2000 that didn't use this as a **** break was dead with people shouting to go back to the Power Plant. Only pop for Animals turning on Disco (and his duck). Decent Sting promo. 3 Count vs. Harris Boys, Don spends a week looking for Abyss's girl Janet. The entire tag division is out, and it decends into a massive brawl. Misogynist Mike Tenay/Stacy Keibler interview (it's been hyped every 10 mins of the show) Tenay is detestable as always. The forklift own repatriates his property. Russo joins commentary promising bombshells (turns out it's a caged heat match next week). Stiener/Jarrett/Sting. Steiner confuses Goldberg with Russo in his promo. Booker T is out cosplaying as Sting, Billy Silverman believes it is Sting lol. Real Sting deathlocks Russo but gets guitar shot. nWo 2000 end the show on top. The dead crowd really didn't help this show, some good bits but a fair bit of bland. Small point but Pamela on ring announcer duty feels wrong she's so much better as an interviewer. |
