[3.0] "I've only seen Savage/Yoko and the lousy six man so I can't go higher than a 3. Most of that 3 stars is for poor Randy having to get splattered by Yoko in short order."

[4.0] "Savage puts up resistance until Fuji roughly pushes him off the ring ropes - which, of course, helps Yokozuna's build-up immensely. Speaking of build-up, an interview with the Megamaniacs ends in a lengthy Hogan monologue, once again hyping up the Mania match against Money Inc. A sudden Perfect Plex seals Skinner's fate. Kamala finally leaves Kim Chee behind. Money Inc. eliminate the two jobbers Sabin & Riggins almost in passing. This is followed by hype for the Intercontinental Title match between Michaels and Tatanka, including a small squash against Mr. South and a confrontation between the two protagonists. The 6-man tag with the midgets has not only nothing to do with Wrestlemania, but it's also pretty awful to watch. Bam Bam lets himself be counted out against the Taker due to a lack of equal opportunity, thus allowing Gonzales one last appearance before Mania. It's all reasonable hype for the PPV of the year, but there's hardly any quality in the ring. See and be seen, and then off to Las Vegas."

[4.0] "While this was nothing special, or even great, or even all that good a lot of the time this was a decent little special leading into WrestleMania 9. Some of this is quite a slog to get through but when they do angles or focus on the big stories going into Mania they do okay. My least favourite match was the Money Inc tag match; but all the under five minutes matches sucked. The best thing on this show was the Undertaker vs Bam Bam Bigelow; which of course was a stifled match."

[4.0] "I don't think this show was necessarily bad, but there was some definitely some unnecessary stuff in here. Particularly the whole Bushwhackers/midgets nonsense, as well as a bunch of squashes. Yokozuna v. Savage was a solid short match designed to elevate Yoko, Perfect got a fine win over Skinner in a watchable match, Undertaker and Bam Bam were on their way to having a pretty awesome match in the main event, and Kamala got his revenge on Kim Chee after months of abuse. However, if you ask me if this show boosted my interest in watching WM 9 the following week... not really. But it's not like it was a terrible show in and of itself, either."

[2.0] "This show was pretty bad. Yes, they showed us videos of the main stories for Wrestlemania 9, but it wasn't very good. The main event and the opening bout weren't bad. If you missed the Mega Maniacs interview, don't worry, you didn't miss anything interesting. Classic Hulk Hogan promo. About the length, I'm already used to Hulk Hogan talking long. Not much to say about the squashes, considering Tatanka and Money INC have already shown themselves on the last episode of Monday Night RAW. Shawn Michaels' post-match promo came off corny, as if the champion wasn't trying hard enough. The midget match is better not to watch, dumb comedy and nothing more. I really feel a little sorry for the people who decided to buy WrestleMania because of this show."

[3.0] "Jesus Christ, what a dogshit of a show this was. All of the squashes were so goddamn uninspiring, and then you have that piss poor midget "comedy" six-man tag to make it all worse. Savage/Yoko was solid and UT/Bigelow was a decent power battle, but that's seriously all I can praise about this. If this was to get me to buy WrestleMania, then it literally did the exact opposite of that. Huge recommendation to avoid here."

[2.0] "Very bad show. Opening match is terrible. From that to the main event there are only squashes or trash matches. Taker vs Bam Bam is slow and boring. I think that the most important thing on the show is an interview with Mega Maniacs. Howewer I think that this promo was too long."
