[7.0] "What I wrote then: Packed house and hot crowd t/out. 1. Wow - Fale's music. Ishii would not go down from the black trunks. Fuji showed more vibrancy than he did all tournament. Of all, Mikami got the most cheers/chants. 2. Taichi is despised - the appropriate ending of Taichi taking off his pants at the Wrong time, and here's Makabe. 3. I was Very vocal with my boo's re: Suzuki's army. Fine match... not surprised Naka took the fall, shity cradle-piledr, as Yano is challenging for the IWGP. 4. Match of the night even though most of it was a showcase for B Intentions. The finishing sequence, lasting about three minutes, was Very hot! Goto/Anderson did a variety of off the rope reversals/run-by's before Anderson hit a pretty good Gun Stun. Solid victory! After, Yano attacked Tana and did an unimpressive reverse Baldo Bomb. 5. Despite a creaky left shoulder, Tanaka withstood Honma's stiffness, moved from Honma's top-rope Kokeshi, and hit a Sliding D for the V. Post, Goto barked at him 6. I live in fear for Tenzan; he was so skinny in '91 and now he's a shell. The match was blah. Kozy had a funny moment trying to mimic/follow StrongMan. Nagata won but looked bored t/out. 7. Suzuki-gun had to win to set-up a title contest in Osaka. Dig Taichi kicking the rook at the moment Minoru's music crescended. The crowd was behind B Intentions 75-25, and 80% of the match was a workover on Anderson. Archer was put-over here in that he kicked out of most of BI's big moves. Suzuki took a pussified Bernard-driver. Anderson was setting up a Gun Stun on Archer, but Suzuki (finally) re-entered, eliminated Bernard after an impressive reversal of a Baldo Bomb --> sleeper. Then, Archer eventually finished off the Very worn down Anderson with his move - pretty well executed. The tournament champs celebrated - Suzuki had a funny moment, immediately tossing off the plaque paper. Afterwards, in the lobby, I encountered him; after Differ all he could give (obnoxious) me was an angry stare."
